Argos of Flame
Argos spent most of his childhood days in his fathers forge. Dad was proudly telling his friends that his son someday will become one great smith. But little he knew that not the art of smith and shape of metal were the things that attracted little dwarf. Fire! Fire enslaved little Argos heart. Its Power, Its Grace, Its Beauty. “Fire will be my life! Fire will be my only destiny!” At the age of 20 he accompanied his father to closest human town of Ardebar. There he saw a man who made fire out of the pure air. Flame was dancing in his hands - fire was a part of that man. “Who are you? How does it comes, that you control the Flame?”, asked young dwarf. The man looked deep into Argos eyes and smiled: “Today I am a sorcerer of this city, and Flum is my name. Remember it Fire Heart as I can see it in your eyes we will meet again ”. Since this conversation Argos was never the same. He left his home few months later. Argos wrote a goodbye letter to his mom and dad, saying sorry, but his destiny was not in forge as it was till this day. At this time he knew who he’s going to be – a Sorcerer. In few weeks he found Flum and became his apprentice for next 5 years. They travelled from town to town. Flum was respected among common men, because he never turned away an asking for help, even it was need for housework. During this time Flum taught everything young dwarf needed to know, and one morning he said: “I made you understand the ways of sorcery and the ways of good heart. Now its up to you how your Flame is going to burn – clear like a Northern star in darkest night or dark like a hate in corrupted mans heart”, and they parted. So begins the tale of Argos of Flame.
