Born on Glorwing, in the Elven land called Darkwoods, Traera was raised in the deep forest by her Elven father, grandfather, and aunt. She returned to Darkwoods seeking her Human mother when she was 22 years old. She lived with her mother for one year before an evil contender for the throne sought to kill her mother and all other supporters of the ruling regent. Traera fled Glowing and sought to start a new life in the world of Nexus.

In Nexus she met a priest of One-God, named Shaun Ferrino. Shaun was an orphan who sought his roots, and in finding them discovered that he was the heir to a kingdom lost to a lich. Shaun and Traera married, and together they led the campaign to destroy the lich who ruled over Shaun's ancestral lands. Once the land was freed from this evil, Shaun was crowned king of the Ponsertines, and he crowned Traera as queen. She bore twin heirs to the Ponsertine throne, and Shaun named them Carlo and Leucretia. The land they ruled stretched from sea to sea on Rimaria.

Time twisted then, and their conquest over the lich was made to never have occured. They now ruled over a small landlocked kingdom sandwiched between two parts of one much larger, and they had no forces of their own. They sailed for a land named Galander, to start a new life. Only their ship arrived in Galandar. The rest of the fleet was separated from them in an astral storm.

Their first home on Galander was on a small island, one of a chain. They raised their two children on a farm, and knew little of the rest of the world. Then the chain of islands was destroyed by a volcano, and they were left penniless on the mainland. Once again they worked to create themselves a home, this time with the aid of their teenaged children. Life looked good, but then came a war between Humans and Elves. Living as they did in Elven lands, they moved once again.

The new land they found was called Electrum. Once there, they discovered that the rest of their fleet had found safe haven on this world. It was as if the house and orchard had been made for them, and almost immediately they found themselves fighting on behalf of this world of good folk besieged by the forces of dark gods.
