Aki is slight of build with white hair. Some say his hair color is the result of a spell gone bad during his apprenticeship. He has the normal distrust of Dwarves and other races that frequent the underground realms. He's likeable and at the same time mysterious.
He carries a bow with a familiararity that makes is appear to be a part of his arm. A longsword may be seen at his side.

Aki's grandmother ran afoul of the Drow some 300 years ago. As a result Aki, and his sister Akiko, are of mixed blood, half Common elf on his father's side and 1/4 Moon Elf and 1/4 Drow Elf on his mother's side.
Aki explains away his Drowish features by saying his hair color is a result of a spell gone bad during his apprenticeship. This ruse has worked for the most part for over a hundred years but elves are very long lived and the truth is pretty much common knowledge among his clansman now. Elves are known for their narrow mindedness and the stigma of his Drow ancestry finally prompted Aki and his sister to leave their homeland to live among the humans and other races who have shorter lives and, most importantly, shorter memories.
Their journey to their new lives started badly. They were beset with a storm at sea that almost killed them and resulted in the loss of all their possesions. Worse, they became separated.
While always looking for news of his sister, Aki has made a life and reputation in the land of Alangara. Having been befriended almost immediately by Cord and Iori, two leading citizens of the realm, he has done well and prospered.
