Cursed from within the womb by an evil cleric, Godie was born without the ability to speak. The curse was only to be broken if she had endured a terrible amount of suffering. Her parents did what they could to break the curse, from other clerics to actually inflicting physical pain upon her. Being the only child to ever be concieved, she recieved all of her parents scorn. She was imperfect, an with such a flaw would no doubt disgrace the family name. After an Orc ambush on her father's wagon, she was left alone, stranded amongst the corpses of her family. It wasn't long until she was found withing the wreckage by an elven harper with the surname of Dan'odefer. The harper took care of her, educated her, and taught her to play an instrument. With his help, she was enrolled into an expensive music academy. From there she created and composed some of the best musical pieces of her life. After graduation she took to the road, exploring the land. She came upon a highway man who fell in love with her. The feeling was mutual, and they spent many years together, the highwayman abandoning his life of crime to start a family. It didn't last long, for their peaceful existance was quickly ruined by former criminal accomplices who carried a grudge. Godie's lover watched as she was viciously beaten, and it were not for his taunts, she'd of been raped as well. They executed him infront of her eyes, and this pain was pure enough to shatter the curse. From her belly she let out a magical cry so powerful that it ruptured the brains of all those who heard it. After the funeral service, Godie was back on the road, the passing of her former lover forever scarring her soul.
