I have "played" D&D for 20 years; the first 2 years as a player, the next 18 years as a DM. I have run 5 PnP campaigns averaging 1500 playing hours each, devoted to story and roleplaying over power (no PC ever made it above 5th level, yet no player ever quit unless they moved out of town). The story is what matters to me.
