As a player, I prefer to define the character in a certain sense and then let him tell the story. I try to avoid characters that are going to ruin the fun of other players, but I try to stay true to the character.
As a DM, I must admit that I am a novice to NWN DMing, having only had sporadic practice in the role, and the guidance of the DM 101 class, so I'm hoping that I can be effective when the campaign I am running starts.
With that said, the only part of being a DM that I'm going to be difficult on will be Paladins, having grown up hearing the tales of Paladins who turn on their group for wanting to loot crypts and other excessively noble tasks... A paladin in one of my games will be expected to play as a Paladin.
