It's been a few years since I've played any PNP D&D, but have looked for online gaming that might offer a similar experience. Finally, with NWN I've found something that seems to fit the bill.
As a player (and future DM) I am more interested in story and role playing than "hack and slash", but a little killing is always a good thing. I like to see characters adapt and develop as characters, having definable personalities and behaviors. While I don't take the gameplay *too* seriously, I prefer to actually "role play", rather than necessarily acting as the player would. My interest in this lies almost exclusively in the multiplayer, allowing for interaction and diversity of viewpoint.
I hope to learn more about being a DM and eventually running some games. But for now, enjoying NWN as a player.
