Although I have never played the pen and paper version of D&D, I am a veteran of the "Baldur's Gate", "Tales of the Sword Coast", "Icewind Dale", "Baldur's Gate II", and "Throne of Baahl" campaigns and recently completed "Icewind Dale II". While waiting impatiently for the release of "Neverwinter Nights", I completed two non-BioWare titles, "Wizardry 8" and "Dungeon Siege" as well. I purchased "Neverwinter Nights" as soon as it shipped and have not been disappointed. In addition to playing the official campaign in single player mode (twice, once as a wizard and a second time as a paladin), I have also completed "Witch's Wake I" by BioWare and other modules by authors such as Dave Mason, Jeff Dueeliz Weaver, and Stefan Gagne and am currently playing the "Dreamcatcher" campaign written by Adam Miller. I prefer playing characters that do not require the intellectual depth that a wizard does, such as a paladin, fighter, or ranger. I have currently created a (level 1) character online here in each of these classes as well as a sorcerer and a druid.
I am new to "Neverwinter Nights" as a multiplayer game and joined this web site looking to get some playing time in a effort to see if I enjoyed it. My primary goal is to have fun doing this. Notwithstanding my lack of experience with "Neverwinter Nights" online, I played "Asheron's Call" online for about a year and have done some "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" online as well although I found the latter an unsatisfactory experience as it was more of a player vs. player game than a roleplaying one. I prefer single sitting games to campaigns and prefer roleplaying over pure hack and slash.
