I am a great role-player and I often work along with the storyline to ensure a high quality gaming atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Gaming Experience: I have more than 10 years experience gaming in Dungeons & Dragons both as Player and DM mainly in the Forgotten Realms in a combination of PnP, WebRPG (Top 3rd Ranking Online DM in the late 90's), and finally NWN via NWC. I have DM'ed multitudes of sessions and storylines within two server worlds, Sojourney & Tegel Village.
DM Style: As a DM, I like to use enemy tactics, side quests, and 100% NPC interaction whenever possible. I always try to add a little flair by bringing the NPC's to life and interacting with the players as they interact with themselves and the environment. This is in no way is a substitute for the well written scripts that may have been set into a campaign world, just an additive for roleplay purposes.
Same goes for enemies during combat. Sometimes players expect enemies to be dumber then dirt and this is always taken for granted. Enemy tactics are good for roleplay purposes. They get shocked and dis-illusioned; for instance, when an Orc Chief says, "Forget the fighters, attack the mage!" And all of a sudden you see enemies bum rush the mage in the party, so it turns the scenario for the players from attacking to defending thier own mage.
If you happen to use DMFI wands in your campaign it adds alot to the roleplay effects. Using sounds of bushes rustling right before a DM springed encounter; animals, enemies, NPC's, adds a little more excitement into a basic "walk in the forest" for the players. These are the ideas and creativity I bring to most campaigns.
Knowledge of Forgotten Realms: This is the only world I have ever been involved in and all the novels that I own or have read based on D&D relate to this world. I am familiar with all aspects but am always learning more and more details pertaining to any particulars on a daily basis. (7.5)
Knowledge of DMClient: It is important to know placement of areas and the multitude of items in the chooser especially when you need to rush through the custom or standard content to pull a rabbit out of the hat to add that much enjoyment to your sessions. In NWN this is the key to DM survival. (9)
Knowledge of Toolset: In the past I have created modules with little to no scripts to base most of my sessions. At times I have redesigned or added areas to existing modules to give the adventurer's the twist needed to worh with the stage. Although I have some working knowledge of the toolset and have recently utilized the customization of items I prefer to leave this aspect to more capable hands. (6.5)
