I've played single and multiplayer NWN since it first came out. However, I'm a veteran of a fairly rare environment: every other week I play NWN modules with two friends with everyone physically present on the local area network at my house. This, however, is very different from the game that I'm learning to play on line. The LAN sessions are basically equivalent to the Balder's Gate experience -- enormous fun, but very little role playing.
Online, I'm mostly interested in roleplaying -- so a NWConnections game is a very differnent activity for me (one that I like as well or better than the in-person LAN games).
As a DM I've only worked with one module "The Gates of Firestorm Peak" by Ghool. Since that module is primarily an excellent dungeon crawl, my style has been to facilitate game play by rewarding role play and keeping the players on track, rather than extensive possession of characters. Of course, I do sometimes posses characters, but mostly I'm working with incidental characters or running battles for the bad guys.
Like many others out there, I have a half finished module of my own that has provided me with many hours of scripting entertainment. Some day I may even get finished, but don't hold your breath waiting for that event.
In real life, I'm 45 and a university professor. I prefer to schedule games in the evenings during time slots that are convenient on the west coast of the US.
