Dark Horse's Details [Statistics Help]
Player Experience Points: 5550

I used to play the AD&D board game when I was younger, DMing most of the time. My players would only be around so often though, so it never got to the level that I would have liked. Came across BioWare's Baldur's Gate 2 and was amazed at how it captured the D&D essence in electronic form. Been hooked ever since.

I was enticed to this site by my cousin Loris (great roleplayer, look him up), and was pleasantly surprised by the roleplaying ability of some of its members. I have had my share of good and bad experiences, but overall it's been worth the trouble. I play a range of characters and styles, but my favorites are the characters I play away from the light, more into the different shades of gray. Any game that you play in will have its share of fair, virtuous, out for the common good characters......but real people aren't like that. I take pride in my ability to play my dark characters without disrupting the cohesiveness (did I spell that right?) of the group. I am dissappointed by the DMs' lack of faith in their players to allow "evil" characters into their games. These are some of the most fun to roleplay, and challenging to do it in a way that they stay true to their "evilness" without alienating themselves from the group. Evil means different things to different people, and one can have an evil mindset, or actions, that do not seem evil to them---only necessary.

I feel that character background is an art form sorely overlooked by some of the players on NWC. No one is born the way they are, and a character's background gives the insight into their motivations and desires, as well as the style of play one can expect when joining a game with that character. Useful information, when deciding what character to play as myself. I strive to make deep, interesting characters through their backgrounds, and bring them to life through quirks and flaws related to them. I have an innate aversion to following the crowd---or doing things the easy way, for that matter---and try to make characters that go against the norm. Honest thieves, introverted mute bards, druids or rangers with a love for civilization......anything that takes me outside of the box. The harder it is to play the character, the more I'll enjoy it. My fellow players are never bored.

Points to fellow players:

AlexanderFrost-My first game on the site was with one of the best, and I did not know the company I was in. Made a strong impression on me with the few sessions we ran. The type of player that makes time melt away.

Vual-Under the veil of the womanizing, rum-drinking, ex-pirate / scullery boy Cirdan Blackbeard, this man is an expert roleplayer, regardless of what his bio says. Keep me coming back here, my friend.

Andrathil-The walking 3-foot disaster himself, Tassilo Shadowlock. Never seen someone get into so much trouble and look as innocent as my favorite little halfling! Major points to you for having me too busy laughing at your antics to type in something witty.

Loris-My cousin, best friend, and the brother I never had.....we have yet to play a game together. (LOL, didnt see that coming, eh?) I know from our 15+ years of gaming (I'm only 22 by the way folks), we would make a dangerous tag team in a NWN session. From the video games to the board games to the adventures, I am pleasantly surprised and inspired by your creativity. Let us bring it full circle to Neverwinter Connections.

That about does it folks. You want a fun, memorable, involved game, look me up. I'm not hard to find, and I'm committed to making the game worth the $50 bucks. I'll turn your stories into your legends.
