I try very hard to roleplay, but I am not a very good roleplayer. Almost all of my characters are basically me, but shorter or taller or with different color hair or can wear heavy armor and swing a greatsword for hours on end and run at top speed for days without resting. I'm really not a power-gamer. I create horribly inefficient characters that are fun for me to play, but would probably cause the average power-gamer to feint or scream or what usually happens is that they sit there for hours telling me how I should build my character differently. That really annoys me. I'm easy-going, respect the rules, and am caring and respectful towards other people. I don't care to play with people who do not share the same values because life is too short and I want to make friends and acquaintances that are friendly towards each other. There is too much argument and disagreement in the world for me to spend my very precious little gaming time doing the same thing. I can play most any character, but I usually end up playing female characters because that's how I relate to other people. My elves talk pretty much the same as my humans and the same as my halflings and my dwarves. Regardless of all of that, I'm actually a fun person to play with or to have in a game, because I know at least enough to hold my tongue if I can't say something appropriate, which might make my characters "quiet types", although, if I'm not roleplaying (or sometimes when I am and it seems appropriate at the time) I'm an incorrigible chatterbox. That all probably makes me sound like the most annoying player in the world, but I am trying to be truthful and I don't have the highest self-esteem, so I'm not very good at showing myself in a good light. If you're dead-set on purist roleplaying I am probably not a good candidate, even though I dearly love purist roleplayers and would give anything to just stand around and watch the great roleplayers weave their stories. Sigh.
