I'm a 31-year old program manager living in Maui HI. I enjoy module creation, playing, and gming in about that order. Heh, today at least. I enjoy them all, and go through phases in which one or another comes to the forefront.
I have a special affinity for rogue classes.
No player ever creates a character without imagining that character in play. My objective as a player and as a gm is to try and see that original vision in each character, and help them bring it out through roleplay and action. I try to keep action varied and compelling (as opposed to "ok, you killed the orcs. There is a door to the south. As you catch a breath, it slams open, and six skeletons shuffle in"). Similarly- I like my plots to be more organic and relevant to the characters, developing in-game, rather than being provided by huge amounts of tedious backstory. It's a fine line- background is neccessary, but players shouldn't be required to memorize epic histories of a land just to understand the proper etiquette when buying a drink.
