I never had a chance to play in a PnP D&D game, and I don't expect that I will, so NWC may be the closest I'll ever get. I'm thankful to the NWC staff, the DMs, and the players of NWC scheduled games for giving me this opportunity. I'm having fun so far.
My background is in role-playing MUDs, starting back in 1987. I've also played a handful of MMORPGs. Everquest was my first and up to recently I played in World of Warcraft. My initiation into the D&D ruleset didn't come until Baldur's Gate.
I tend to prefer role-play and story over hack & slash, though skirmishes and battles that enhance the story are more than okay with me.
