I’m Ryan, 20 year old college slack- err, student, without a clue on what I really want to do in life. I’ve stumbled into NWN on accident sometime right before NWCon 2, and have loved it ever since. I’ve had encounters with D&D before, mind you, but it has always been through a computer and online medium. I’ve done some cooperative forum RP in the past, but honestly, I much prefer watching other people make a good story, than try, and fail, at making one myself. Won’t stop me from moaning and griping when I find shortcomings in source material, but that’s the nature of all critics, ain’t it? Can’t make the perfect story/game themselves, so they pester everyone ELSE into doing it…

Naw, I’m not that bad, yet, I don’t think. I do tend to be loud and sort of opinionated around the people that know me, to their small chagrin, but all I need is a good reminding and perhaps a few whacks from a big stick to keep me in line. Though most of you who do know me probably are aware that, if you don’t say anything, then I’ll just keep going on with my derailed thought processes until I DO get a conversation, debate, or lecture! Dangit!

I attempt to keep horizons broad, and I welcome any suggestions for a good read; I’ll take wisdom where I can find it. If I can find it.

I love underdogs, and characters that have to struggle in more ways than just completing the mission. I enjoy games that challenge player characters in ways other than just the next tough monster encounter.

I have hopes on DMing, but I think I’m gonna wait to see if NWN2 is more flexible for quests that don’t apply to kill-or-be-killed encounters and mechanics. Here’s looking at you, NWN2.
