I've been playing RPGs of one sort or another for over 20 years. I believe there should be hack & slash in a game, but I think an enjoyable RPG experience starts with good roleplaying and story telling, so I avoid games that are too heavy on the hack & slash. In fact, I find the solo CRPGs do a good job for a solo hack & slash fix and a comparatively poor job on roleplaying, story, and plot. Therefore, I would prefer to focus on good story, plot, and roleplaying here with some good hack & slash thrown in occassionally.
I work full time and have a family so my best times to play are late nights (USA-EST). I prefer Sundays, Mondays, or Wednesdays 9:00pm EST or later, but can also make Tuesdays or Thursdays for a good campaign. I prefer to avoid the weekends as I often have plans on the weekends and would likely be unable to make all of the playing sessions.
