I was a pen and paper gamer for several years starting in the late 80s, primarily playing first and second edition D&D and, later on, Cyberpunk 2020. During college I fell into playing MMORPGs, but dissillusionment with that genre lead me to purchase NWN over a year ago as an alternative for online play, to seek smaller-sized games where roleplaying can be done in-depth and where there is more to gameplay than "kill monster, get points."
I prefer not to take myself too seriously when I game, and would rather have fun than grow super-powerful. That said, I also prefer well-paced games that provide some sort of action, problem, or opponent.
Many of my characters have displayed a tendency to create problems on their own, if things are a little too quiet...
