nightcleaver's Details [Statistics Help]

I love to think things up about my character on the fly. If I do it that way, my character fits with the story a lot better. A form a basic concept of who my character is beforehand, of course, but most of the personality comes out in game. My characters are complex and unique, and their motivations can sometimes be a little obscure. I don't focus so much on making likeable characters (BIG characters) as I do interesting characters that provide atmosphere and fun for the other players. Still, I don't like to play purely evil characters, and I rarely play anything other than neutral/chaotic good.

I've never DM'ed before, but I have plans to try it out sometime. I think I'd like it even more than playing a PC. I have strong opinions about letting the chances of NWN's gimpy combat engine resolve the conflicts my PC's enter, and so I would probably interfere a lot more - but not in the sense that would have any great say in the matter, or bring about a god figure any time someone died. I intend to DM HEROIC stories, if I ever do DM, and that is, after the heroic stories of a novel. Things seem a little off, a little unrealistic in novels, and they should in games as well, because that's what art is. I'll try to be realistic without just simulating real life.
