I'm more of an RPer than hack n' slasher, but a fair balance of action and roleplay are necessary to keep me interested. If I want to sit and socialize for 2 or 3 hours I have plenty of friends I can do that with, so I require a fair amount of action mixed with good rp. I prefer play where there are minimal instances of being "OOC" and players do their best to act as their character. Other players can definitely expect the same from me. I've a fair amount of knowledge about the FR or Faerun as I've read several books (Icewind Dale Trilogy, Legacy of the Drow, the first 3 books of the Avatar Series which regards the Time of Troubles) and I own a copy of the FR Campaign setting for PnP. I've played many different types of characters ranging from Paladins of Torm to Clerics of Bane (my favorite evil Diety). As far as game rules, I'm very familiar and comfortable with them even though I've only played DnD for about 4 years now. I first played while on a deployment with the Army back in 2001-2002, and have since found no more enjoyable or entertaining game than DnD(except maybe a few wild drinking games I played where.. well, nevermind.. hehe). As far as DMing, I've DM'd one PnP module for CL 1-3 called The Sunless Citadel, which we only got about a quarter of the way through because it was impossible to get everyone together on the same day to play. I've tinkered with the DM client for NWN, and I'm sure it wouldn't take much for me to learn and master it as I'm very computer savvy. I've worked on building my own PW modules on several occasions, have become very familiar with the toolset and NWN scripting (I'm an entry level programmer by profession, for now :) ) So, summing things up, I'm about 65/35 in favor of RP over hack n' slash, and have minimal experience as a DM, though I'd love to learn and develop into a good one. As I mentioned above, I'm very comfortable with the toolset, and plan on developing some campaign modules soon.
