I'm a modestly experienced pen-and-paper role player with many years of experience in different RPG's. I rarely get to play at all these days due to time restrictions and distance from my old group, so I figured I'd give this a try. I've only played under a few DM's in my time so I haven't seen many different types of DM'ing styles. I'm not too familiar with 3rd-edition rules (but I'm willing to learn!), having played 2nd for most of my life. Generally I play Good-alignment characters, predominantly casters. I prefer a good role-playing campaign with intrigue and puzzles, but like a good amount of battle as well to keep things interesting. I'll often take a back seat in large parties, saving my powers and input as a backup in case everyone else is falling but I'm usually pretty involved if the group is small.
