I'm a very experienced player having been involved in regular multiplayer sessions for over 4 years. During that time I've run characters in Forgotten Realms, planescape and Firefly settings in long term campaigns. I have a preference for high RP gaming, in fact the higher the better. Character development is a big part of the experience for me. Though carving up the occasional monster is fun, it's definately the reasoning behind it and the party interactions that count as far as I'm concerned. Happy to play any class given a run up to consider biography and character for the PC but finesse builds, based on rogue, bard, ranger (call that fast or smart in D20) and prestige class combinations, are a speciality. Any alignment also possible.
As a DM I've been building and running campaigns in the Forgotten Realms and Planescape settings for a small group of regular players (see http://www.borderkingdoms.co.uk for more information) for over 3 years now, both individually and jointly. I also have a passable knowledge of Traveller rules system and am developing something for D20 modern. All of my own campaigns to date have been personally written and developed, and conducted in purpose built modules, though I have co-DMed in others modules. My own campaigns have a strong RP focus, but there will be sessions when you are fighting for your life every now and then. I also believe in PC actions having consequences for the direction of the campaign.
