I started out playing 2nd Edition pen and paper style, then my group made the transition and conversion to 3rd edition. Before playing NWN i played and still replay Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Icewind Dale 1 & 2, and until recently Planescape.
In games on NWC i usually don't DM sinc ei work full time and am a college student i don't have the time to put into a proper campaign but i love playing with groups that are more into good roleplay and character interactions than simple hack and slash. Though admittedly that is fun as well.
I tend to play chaotic and neutral characters as i feel they give the best hooks when it comes to roleplay. On occasion though i will play a paladin or somesuch if i feel he/she is right for the setting.
