I generally play a Gnome Wizard (or Druid/Wizard for RP reasons), but do enjoy playing a good Rogue or Ranger as well. I like some good RP in a game, but do like a mixture of Action thrown in to spice things up. I've been playing D&D off and on since the early 80's when I was first introduced to the old Blue Box set of D&D. I quickly moved up to AD&D, and played regularly until shortly after 2nd Edition came out. I DM'd a bit in PnP, but was never heavily into being a DM... I do, however, intend to give it another try with NWN, as I have a campaign idea rolling around in my head that needs somewhere to go :). I should note that I am NOT into HCR, and I tend to avoid games that include it both PW's and DM'd games. While I agree it adds to the "realism", but this IS a game that I play to have fun... Not to be frustrated. I simply feel that it is a bit much to make something that much more difficult when I'm playing to enjoy myself and some good RP'ing. This is, however, just my opinion, and know that many do not agree with this. I highly respect those that enjoy the HCR style of game, and their accomplishments.
