i started dnd basic about 18 years ago, but most of my rpg experience has been as dm/gm in the tmnt rpg, rifts, shadowrun, and my homegrown fantasy rpg. i almost never played as a pc, maybe because i'm a control freak. but with multiplayer computer rpgs, i prefer to be just a player (specifically nwn).
i didn't really like 2e adnd rules until i started playing baldur's gate. 3e rules are sparking my interest in playing the pnp version.
i prefer to play good-aligned and helpful characters, and types that can hold their own in melee because i'm not too familiar with staying alive using spellcasting strategies.
