I've been a PnP DM for nearly 20 years. I DO NOT run pre-canned mods (yet) I DO run a Template I have created based off a section of my PnP realm.
Are there blank areas that are just canvass for DM's to work with? Yep! Are there long walks from point A to B? Yep! Is there a pre canned plot? NOPE! Everything is made up: the precanned stuff only gets in the way!
I tend to be fair, allowing players to do whatever they want with one rule in mind: Cause and Effect. (IE- Piss on an Ogre's foot, you better be prepared to loose some teeth!) I do NOT freely hand out XP or items. (Go play Diablo if you want that...)Items are earned, quested for, or found. I write fantasy for a hobby, so my game is looking to be fairly deep- a mix of fighting and RP. It will be only limited by the Aurora engine, and even then, I encourage all PC's to Think OOTE (Out-Of-The-Engine)and use tileset placables. My realm as stated above, is the one I both write about, and DM in the RW.
