Comments Concerning Burrie

This was an excellent session of what promises to be an excellent campaign.
I enjoyed the way the orderlies were roleplayed as extremely stupid near automatons focus on their assigned tasks, how they would get stuck when their clothes caught a nail on the furniture and such. Makes one wonder how well this place can run, though.
The nurse with her mouth sewn shut was also delightful in a morbid sort of way and the strange forces that works under the cloak of invisibility and behind the walls were very nicely done aswell.
The design of the areas with placeables, lighting and sound did alot to make one feel in a an old haunted asylum, which was great and with the above mentioned NPCs and 'ghosts' it really worked to create a mood appropriate to the setting.
Overall great work to both designers and DMs.

Great (Co)DM'ing! That bear was quite funny. :) Good story and NPC interaction as well.

Excellent game Burrie. I really had an excellent time with the NPC's. Great stuff all the way through with Kaspar and especially the healer, Ms Applegate. I'll look forward to seeing her reaction when she figures out who we really are. Good stuff, and a great ending to tonights session- maybe we'll see some action next week :P Either way, I'll be looking forward to it.

Burrie made my first exp. with a DMed run game better then i thought i was going to be. He did a great job keeping things moving and played the npc very well.

Great use of the maze to add the earie feeling of walking in circles. This session had a morbid 'Alice and Wonderland' feel to it with all of the strange places and happenings. Splitiing the party up... Spooky, spooky! That over the shoulder view works wonder when your alone with creepy rats the size of your boot.

The Challenge score may not be completely fair, but it's based on the one fight we got into, where a group of goblins almost completely eradicated us :P
I know it was mostly a mistake, so better luck next time.

11/10 for the NPC's, actually - they were great! Each one was definitely unique, each fitted perfectly into the game, each was thoroughly freaky. Definitely one of the best games I've played in. You guys are very good at conjuring up an atmosphere of dread: it makes a (pleasant?) to play in a game where you really do fear for your character's life. And, like any good horror story, I'm nervous about what comes next, but I *have* turn the page to find out...

Quest For Glory. I like this half-freeform campaign. I really do. You obviously possess creativity, I love the speaking placeables for one. The NPCs are played with a great flair, I think you should get a BIG as well :P The setting and custom content is great as well and a great break-away from the FR games. The game is top-notch as always, though as always I like to bring some ideas myself: the NPC PC like I already suggested would be cool imo. A bit more choices. Not related to this particular quest, but it would be very nice to i.e. have 3 places where we could get some mandrake root or have two persons that know of a cure. Of course in builder terms it means more work, so you will have to see for yourself, but choices are the thing most games today still lack :) - Play Mate

Great NPCs, an interesting plot, a good pace, a lot of attention to player character backgrounds and an excellent mix of roleplay, combat and puzzles - all of this makes for one of the most enjoyable campaigns I have played in.
