Comments Concerning Silvarian

Comment By: StarStuff
11/10 for the NPC's, actually - they were great! Each one was definitely unique, each fitted perfectly into the game, each was thoroughly freaky. Definitely one of the best games I've played in. You guys are very good at conjuring up an atmosphere of dread: it makes a (pleasant?) to play in a game where you really do fear for your character's life. And, like any good horror story, I'm nervous about what comes next, but I *have* turn the page to find out...

What can I say? Superb game, with an engrossing plot..I was on the edge of my seat most of the time..(I had prepared a decent amount of snacks for the game, but never touched them..) Live NPCs with lots personality, and plenty of challenges..all in all, one of the best games I've played..looking forward to next session..

To become completely absorbed in a game, akin to a great movie is the absolute goal of every player.

this game has been the pinnacle of my NWN playing to date. The storyline was absorbing, and game balance and NPCs reflected the great effort and creativity in this game. If I had a hat I'd certain take it off to you.

This is the first DM'ed game I ever played online, so I don't have much to compare with, and therefor don't give to radical marks. I think it was a good choise of adventure for first time players, but I also think we were to many players for the game. The team spirit didn't really cary this game through. To me it seems we were more of a bunch of individuals. A smaler group might have had a better chance of solving this as a team. Since the alternative would have been, to not let everyone join, I do how ever appriciate Silvarians choise in opening so many slots. This was my first, but certainly not my last DM'ed game.

Desperation filled my heart as I sat on the edge of my seat, wanting to get out so bad. and this was in the real world! Just imagine how my character felt! This was an excellent game, something different. I loved the whole thing. Great job. Great concept.

What an experience! The mod is aptly named, as all of us felt the pressure of the clock (and the noose around our necks). The DMs obviously knew what they were doing and it was so well planned that even when I stepped in as an impromptu DM I was able to contribute to the game.

The mod seemed heavily biased against the players, but I imagine that was all part of the experience. The DMs did their best to project a menacing, gripping atmosphere, and it really showed in the player's responses. It was a classic match of wits, and I hope to have a similar game again in the future.

Well done!

Thanks for a great game folks. I really appreciated the obvious effort in preparing for this memorable night's play. NPC's were vibrant and excellently played throughout and the whole event ran very smoothly. {Dunga}

This game rocked! It was very impressive right from the beginning. These Gm's really know what they are doing and work well together. They give you some real imput and if you cant RP with them you must be dead (or Undead). The other great thing is they give you ONE life, this really makes it tense and dangerous. If you succeed though you've earned it!

Great use of the maze to add the earie feeling of walking in circles. This session had a morbid 'Alice and Wonderland' feel to it with all of the strange places and happenings. Splitiing the party up... Spooky, spooky! That over the shoulder view works wonder when your alone with creepy rats the size of your boot.

Incredibly inventive, fascinating game guys. Was enthralled watching it all as an on-looking ghost. Great interaction and just superb NPCs.

Great game. Really felt I could get into the atmosphere of the prison. The guards were well roleplayed, and the DMs were very professional.

This was an excellent session of what promises to be an excellent campaign.

I enjoyed the way the orderlies were roleplayed as extremely stupid near automatons focus on their assigned tasks, how they would get stuck when their clothes caught a nail on the furniture and such. Makes one wonder how well this place can run, though.

The nurse with her mouth sewn shut was also delightful in a morbid sort of way and the strange forces that works under the cloak of invisibility and behind the walls were very nicely done aswell.

The design of the areas with placeables, lighting and sound did alot to make one feel in a an old haunted asylum, which was great and with the above mentioned NPCs and 'ghosts' it really worked to create a mood appropriate to the setting.

Overall great work to both designers and DMs.
