Comments Concerning Rofelli

Definitely a good start to the adventure. Some interesting characters to interact with, and good work from the DM on both setup and running. Looking forward to more of it.

Best session yet. A really good mix of combat, roleplaying, conversation and a desperate chase at the end (well we thought it was a desperate chase, even if no one was actually chasing us. Sooner or later they'll find us). You reacted to PC actions very well, like Stevinous' tinkering with the plans, and gave all your NPCs solid motivations. Extra marks for the jumping possession of two NPCs so they could both be invlved in a conversation (Jart and Roland) and the perfectly chosen custom treasure for each character. Plus, the next adventure looks like it'll be a real change - dungeonn exploration and mystery rather than city-based intrigue. It's variety like this that keeps a campaign fresh. Very, very well done.

What can be said? You are way up there on the list of skillful DMs in terms, especially, of story, ahhh the twists and turns, deceptions, and convoluted craziness, as well as playing incredible and extremely varied NPCs. Well thought out in every regard to what a DM must do to run an excellent game, and an incredible campaign. I thank you very much for the games played so far, and I certainly hope to have many more in the future to play with you as DM. *sincere nod*

A great game. Rofelli is a great storyteller, and a patient one, too. Many DMs would have cracked under the pressure of the PCs not figuring out his puzzle, but Rofelli let us keep looking--a decision I respect enormously. The plot runs deep with political intrigue, so being the new guy presents me with a steep learning curve. But figuring things out looks to be well worth the effort. ---CH

Well I know why you are voted best of the month now :P Strong points of this game were certainly the NPCs (very nice and realistic orcish talk from the DMs), the original story element (all orc hero's :D), custom orc items that give a different feel to the game and the DMs that rewarded outside the engine thinking. Cheers fella's - Play Mate

Wonder how long it'll be until you start tearing your hair out trying to deal with this bunch of misfits... - Eugenides

You were amazing. This time, more than any other, I sensed we pushed you to your limits. We certainly moved much more quickly than normal, and yet you stayed well ahead of us. I would say . . . a bit too much treasure, though I am certainly not going to hand any of it back.

Rofelli takes the time and effort to make each session a unique experience, tailored to the characters. Creativity and open-ended play are rewarded and you feel like you're truly "there" in one of his games.

Excellent session. Kudos all around, the could not have been much better. Quite an RPing challenge, a welcome diversion from most other games.

Wow...you actually let me play a robot. What an amazing job! I've got bits and pieces of myself in an old box, waiting for the right materials to repair them...I love it! The module is shaping up to be interesting, but it is a little difficult to gauge at this point, as we did not go very far. Not a single blow struck in combat, and I enjoyed it immensely nonetheless. I'm really looking forward to see where this group and this module go from here. :) Thanks Rofelli! It's been a pleasure to meet you. :)

Excellent non-traditional NPCs! Great DM who doesn't let the rules get in the way of a fantasic game.

An -awesome- game! My question about whether you had a plan for us to get across all those obstacles wasn't a complaint, btw. I was amazed at how your design challenged my 'game logic.' Game logic would say, 'there's a transition here, I must be going the right way.' But your having us swim underground rivers, climb walls, cross chasms, kept me guessing. Are we really going the right way? Surely he wouldn't have built all this stuff just to run to a dead-end... would he? When we finally did find what we were after, there was an actual sense of accomplishment that's missing when you just follow the obviously marked path. Bravo! (Only complaint: XP awards seem really low, especially because it seems we worked our butts off. Mentally, anyway. Maybe I'm just used to faster-advancing games.)
