Comments Concerning Zaxares
Comment By: Starfox
Zaxares is a reliable and long-standing DM. He generally keeps a pretty low profile, working in the background to keep the challenge and fun level up. He's permissive and lets us shape our characters the way we want them, which gives us all a very solid base for some very solid role-play. Great, in other words!

This DM is not as well known as some due to his playing times (member of the Asia Haven guild), but let me tell you his talent really shines through when he gets a stellar group like he does right now. So good our his skills that at 2 a.m. in the morning (eastern) 7 of the best players on NWC gather together weekly to enjoy the outstounding world of The Order of the Griffon. LRP, Sparky, Silmeril and Nofare are just some of the familiar names that stay up late to enjoy these wonderful episodes by this outstanding DM. Take it from me and do what you must to experience this guy's DM'ing!!

I didn't vote on Treasure, because Dumas is a different kind of game, and I think it's inappropriate to vote on this. :P

Not only an excellent storyteller, Zax also sits in my personal top 5 roleplayers list. Never pass a chance to play with this guy.

This game rocked! It was very impressive right from the beginning. These Gm's really know what they are doing and work well together. They give you some real imput and if you cant RP with them you must be dead (or Undead). The other great thing is they give you ONE life, this really makes it tense and dangerous. If you succeed though you've earned it!

11/10 for the NPC's, actually - they were great! Each one was definitely unique, each fitted perfectly into the game, each was thoroughly freaky. Definitely one of the best games I've played in. You guys are very good at conjuring up an atmosphere of dread: it makes a (pleasant?) to play in a game where you really do fear for your character's life. And, like any good horror story, I'm nervous about what comes next, but I *have* turn the page to find out...

Great use of the maze to add the earie feeling of walking in circles. This session had a morbid 'Alice and Wonderland' feel to it with all of the strange places and happenings. Splitiing the party up... Spooky, spooky! That over the shoulder view works wonder when your alone with creepy rats the size of your boot.

Incredibly inventive, fascinating game guys. Was enthralled watching it all as an on-looking ghost. Great interaction and just superb NPCs.

Great game. Really felt I could get into the atmosphere of the prison. The guards were well roleplayed, and the DMs were very professional.

This was an excellent session of what promises to be an excellent campaign.
I enjoyed the way the orderlies were roleplayed as extremely stupid near automatons focus on their assigned tasks, how they would get stuck when their clothes caught a nail on the furniture and such. Makes one wonder how well this place can run, though.
The nurse with her mouth sewn shut was also delightful in a morbid sort of way and the strange forces that works under the cloak of invisibility and behind the walls were very nicely done aswell.
The design of the areas with placeables, lighting and sound did alot to make one feel in a an old haunted asylum, which was great and with the above mentioned NPCs and 'ghosts' it really worked to create a mood appropriate to the setting.
Overall great work to both designers and DMs.
