[u]FireFly-Mod and AMOOF DMs[/]

This DM-team gave quick response to *checks* and also, they were very helpful when explaining things for me. (like the "ground lock")

At times, the players were widespread all over the module but the DM-team handled it very well.

The FireFly Campaign Setting for NWN will be a success I think. (The one-shot was definitly a success :)

I found the game to be fantastic. The characters were great - my fellow crew members were all great, nuanced characters. The story was great, there were subplots weaved into it, the roleplaying was very good. All in all, a truly shiny game :).

I've been waiting for a break from the NWN worlds and this game filled the bill. It was fun and very refreshing. I would like to see the DMs try to expand their player base for Firefly. The DMs did a great job with this game.

The DMs did an incredible job making a non-medieval fantasy work. A script bug creeped in, but it merely stopped us for while to smoke and joke. JackForrest, Eliandi and Felrazor are credits to the hobby of DMing. I hope to continue this campaign.

Ah...the campaign comes to a close at last. It would have been nice, but very unrealistic for us to have been able to confront Vino directly. Anyway, it was a good ending to the main plotline; satisfying to finally reach our goal, and executed well.

I can't say too much about the DMs in this game as it was the players which mostly caused aggravation during this game. The only thing I can say is to possibly tone down the amount of SR monsters thrown at the party. It's become an all too frequent annoyance. Skeleton Warriors, Grigs, I can't name any encounter that didn't have an SR creature and wasn't well below the party's CR. Little was left to do for my character, actually nothing.

Another great session. A little less roleplay and more combat than your usual, but we had a lot of ground to cover and talking more would have slowed us down. Not actually facing Vino and having him die off-camera was a little bit anticlimactic--I get the reasons, but after all he'd been though, maybe he could've been weakened (like all his cleric spells were washed out cause his god deserted him or something). I wish we could have gotten some good loot as a result of defeating him. Hopefully the Baron will have a treasure trove. :)

One of the best games I've played in this series and just plain one of the top games overall as well. Taking control of the familiar, good work with Igor the, recent, history of the tower and so on. I also liked the amulet and it's drawing of summoned minions to us, the use of magical knowledge (spellcraft) to learn things was very handy and very enjoyable this time around as well. I had so much fun I started to wonder if I might be hogging it, great game.

An amazing game. My favorite so far.

Really good job by both the DMs and designers. NPC chat was nicely done, and accidental plot twists (the odd unexpected player death) were handled really well on the fly. New areas were great, adding a lot to the atmosphere of the campaign

Great game you two. This game definitely was deserves to go on your highlight reel. I cannot say enough of how impressed I was especially the graphic with our monk, Elindith, having the breath of fire breathed into him returning him to life.

The difficulty of the opponents we faced was clearly a great fit. Challenging enough that we had to use our wits to keep everyone alive.

Only thing that I can ask for is there a way to have us replenish our healing supplies? For the past 3 sessions Col our low level druid has been our only healer and due to his level he cannot truly keep up with the damage that we now are required to face. This is just a suggestion to an otherwise GREAT GAME.

At long last, the PC's have finally scored a victory against their numerous foes. The DM's organized the large battle very well. I was most impressed with how they were able to move large numbers of people around in different areas to where they were needed in a timely fashion. I imagine this took a good amount of preparation. However, the fight itself was disappointing, as the climactic battle was far too easy. Still, this is easily forgiven since we have so many more obstacles to overcome. :)

This also happened to be Felrazor's last session with the group. I'd like to thank him for providing us with so much fun. His NPC's were always full of life, distinct, and a joy to interact with. He'll definitely be missed.

As always, superb job. Consistantly superb. The Red Slaad was a barrel of laughs! (bow to Taniki). The placables, layout, atmosphere, plot!.. er. there's really just too much to name. Peace.

04/14/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Boy does time fly when having fun. I swear I blinked and the session was over! This was by far the best session to date.

04/14/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
This was an absolutely outstanding session. Great use of NPCs. The slaad and mindflayer were especially well played. Can't wait for next week.

Another great session even if I missed an hour (or more) of it. Had to give a 10 for the NPCs since I really love Rulinus! I always enjoy the NPC dialog, but Rulinus is quirky enough to put it over the top. Another engrossing session.

04/08/04 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 7 10 10
Another worthwhile session brought to you by Fel, Taniki, and now making his cameo appearance, Patrick! This game was a little delayed, but all were notified. Also, we waited for possible PC's who may join late. This is a practice I support, and it affords the PC's an oppurtunity to rehash last session, and "get into character". The NPC's were OUTSTANDING, as usual. Even for a fact finding aside, this was a great, if abbreviated session. I look forward to catching up on the PC journal page. Well done, All!

Good game this week. The DMs always know what they are doing so I am always excited to participate in the campaign. This week the umber hulk was challenging I like that. I hope that there will be a lot more battles like that it seems that we are at that point where we just tear through monsters.

Igor was great he added that humour to the game that is always enjoyable to have. Great job on him.

On the hound archon it is hard to say what should have happened. I know my character would not have let him out since in truth he has no idea what it is. And than again is it really a hound archon or just some balor waiting to tear our heads off and feast on our innocent souls.

04/04/04 8 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9
Hmmm...not exactly what I was expecting (I was sure we'd see Barghal again already) but still lots of fun. Will be nice to have somewhere to stay where we're not in danger of being killed off all the time

04/01/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 5 10 10 10
Great time guys as always. I am trying to get some tactics into the group since the monsters are toughter than normal ,which I like . Like the plot and pace. Thanks

04/01/04 8 10 10 10 10 9 8 10 8 10
This was a great game, I am glad my char is finally released from his mental shackles, a very enjoyable session, I think everyone players and DMs were a little tired at the end and we all disintegrated a bit, I have no ideas how I got killed at the end which is a bit of a peave, I simply cant lose Khaimas now!!! - Hehe only just feel like I got him back

If we are to have super hard combat like that (two players killed with single hits) it would be nice to have a bit more DM atmospheric telling to let us know how dark and evil the place was, and that we perhaps should have been much more careful, but as I said I think we were all tired, I know I was, I was nearly asleep!

All in all a superbly DM'ed game, NPCs are inspirationl, I think we as players soetimes try to have to much going on but you guys seem to cope admirably.

Well done

Another stellar session beneath the Purple Hills. I'm not just saying that because of the extreme generosity of the DM's in raising me from the cavern floor... Use of several NPC's was believable, and an excellent addition to the game. While the session was said to be an 'aside' due to missing players, it was no less enjoyable than any of the previous sessions. All hail Fel & Taniki!

[Felrazor's reply to comment: Bleeding wasn't working correctly. I don't think anyone would have died if it had been.]

This session seemed to move a little slow. It started late, but that was due to a lack of people. Outside of that, though, there was very little story involved, and the time we tried to move the story on, we were either ignored or basically pushed towards whatever the DM wanted. Also, it almost seemed like the DM wanted to have one person lead and did almost everything possible to put that label on the character.

[Felrazor's reply to comment: I spoke with this player afterwards, and we worked things out to my satisfaction. It seemed to be the result of his being angry, me being dissatisfied and neither of us communicating. I will not boot him, and he has asked to continue.]

Once again well done! I cannot wait to venture further into the crypt. That reaper was scary as all hell!

03/29/04 10 9 9 10 9 9 7 10 9 8
I liked the game. One thing that was mentioned was that the challenges might be tweeked a little. The group with Algernon there, plus being provided the newer items of power, is a little more powerful than I otherwise thought. I loved the way the DM's had the manticore use guerilla tactics to fight. If it had stayed on the ground it would have died I believed. I am still perplexed at what occurred with Raven but I hope that will be explained over the boards this week.

03/28/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
I really loved how it flowed. The pace was perfect for me. Oh yes, and Gallandra was an absolute highlight. Kudos. Best game I had in months.

Once again, a superbyl hosted, administered and DM'd game from Fel & Taniki. I look forward to next weeks session.

You guys are awesome, I love playing in this campaign. I am having a hard time with the way I have set my character up but all I get from you guys is encouragement, thank your for the tells giving me hints, I need that this week, I actually levelled due to all the DM wand bopping, I think my chars head should be sure from all that bopping =:)

I had a struggle following everything this week, a few times there were too many things happening, it can be hard it chars not present are still in party talk. Otherwise these games are flawless.

03/25/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Great time guys! I like the feel of this mod how it looks and the group interaction. Great NPC 's looking forward to next week.

Once again you have outdone yourselves. It seems each session is better than the previous. I cannot wait to see what next week brings!

Once again, a great game. It had become a little frustrating at times, as if we were somewhat stuck with little options but it seems we've picked up where we're

03/21/04 9 9 10 10 9 8 8 9 10 10
Again the DM team truly shined and handled an unexpected situation very well.

03/21/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 9 9
Great game as usual. The three DMs work great as a team. They set the mood and the environment of the game to be as close to a pen and paper as you can get with the engine.

Great job to all of you.

03/18/04 9 9 10 9 9 9 9 10 9 9
WHat an opening! :) Black sails, were-creatures, notes slipping into one's inventory.... Gotta love it when a DM says

03/17/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 5 10 10
Man do I hate to give out easy, or inflated scores. But this was EXACTLY what I was hoping NWN online would be. Without a doubt, this is where I will be, every Wed night until the earth crashes into the sun. The stability issue, as rated above, may have been my own. After a quick reboot, and rejoin, I was back with my party, and cleaning off the gelatinous slime. Fel & Tan, YOU ROCK!

03/17/04 8 9 10 8 9 10 9 10 8 8
Very well done. Good scripting, clues, combat balance, use of most character skills, and adventure hooks. Look forward to the next session.

03/17/04 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 8 9 9
While I enjoyed the session, I felt like we were on a rudderless ship most of the evening. I like it better when we have some clear objectives versus wandering aimlessly. Very glad to solve the mystery of the harpy and that was well handled. I was also glad to see Noin get an interesting amulet artifact--I think this will help Hijima play a more active role. NPC roleplay was up to your usual high standards & continues to make the gameworld come alive. Thanks

03/17/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Good stuff tonight. The party was a bit slow to make decisions but thats no surprise. Good number of plot elements were dropped for being a game where many of our normal players where missing. I know you guys were just waiting for us to kill that dark spearman, with all his buddies up on that hill...

Oh yah, the description and jumping of the manticores to describe their flight was well done! You get S rank for that!

03/17/04 8 9 10 9 10 9 10 8 9 10
Well run, well roleplayed and well thought out. Cannot wait for another round!

03/15/04 8 10 10 10 10 8 8 9 9 10
This campaign is getting closer and closer to PnP. I don't know what higher compliment one can give. Up there with some of the best PnP sessions I have had.

But please - no more skeleton warriors! *winks*

Wow. The NPCs really came alive, combat encounters were handled well, and the mod is gorgeous. Really, really outstanding all around. I liked the way you handled the manticore glitch & let Kel try the ritual to bring Khaimas back. This was a Top 5 caliber game. Thanks!

Loved all the intrigue and NPC interaction. Whoever played Garrity did a great job for not tipping their hand whose side he was on. Should make for an interesting next couple sessions

03/07/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 9 10
An amazing game, right up there with the best PnP sessions I have had. The players roleplayed excellently, the DMs were fantastic, and the plot wasn't predictable. Once we had pieced together the facts, we started to work out what was going on - and it wasn't obvious until the very end what that was. Simply excellent.

03/06/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Great game, yet again!!! Wonderful storyline, great storytelling dms, fantastic all around.

Great game as per usual. Trying to solve the Old Man's crazed words was excellent, especially as he painted what was to occur. I am wondering what would have happened to Danvill if he had been allowed to finish his picture?

02/29/04 9 10 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9
What can I say...some of the best DM's we have, working really well together. NPC talk was great, and with this many DM's it allowed a lot more intrigue to be added to the game. Great job guys

02/29/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
By far the best game I've played yet, with the best DM's.

Fantastic.

02/29/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 8 8 9 9
The game was extremely fun, and the DM team did much to make the plot come to life. Easily the best game I've had in a long time, and I'm looking forward to playing again.

02/28/04 10 10 10 10 10 5 10 10 10 10
Smooth game. I liked it very much

02/28/04 9 8 10 10 9 10 9 8 9 9
A lot of empty space where nothing happened. I can't say what is at fault for that exactly, but there was quite a bit of staring at the enemy while they stared at you. Given that a large portion of the session was taken up by very repetitive dialogue, it became rather boring, really.

[Felrazor's reply to comment: Choosing to have a seat on the floor away from the group while the other players interacted in the scene might get a little boring, yes. However I will grant that the session was a bit slow, with lots of RP and problems to solve. Will try to remedy that next time.]
02/09/04 6 9 9 8 9 8 6 8 9 8
Excellent game you guys. I love the plot. Though I still think I die/fall a bit too often in-game. Mostly because Calasil is to be the leader, and falling each battle undermines that slightly. Not sure if it is my medium character build, supported by his light armor and the 0 supply of potions I had (I have some now though), but I'll keep a look-out for bracers of armor or something similar, maybe that can become a new nice item for the group to find ;) But enough of the complaining. The campaign is great and I can't wait till the 2 weeks are over - Play Mate

I'm so happy to be in this campaign. I've been looking for something exotic and immersive as this is, for quite some time. I'm glad I found it because the dm's are absolutely fabulous with the npc's and the content, and the music is grand! Loving it, gonesailing :)

Good show. The hints were well placed and kept me interested in the plot. It has a lot of possible ways to go too, which is all the better. Combats were good, though I had some difficulty with assessing the combat in the room before Corbash. I saw one enemy, but he was talking so I walked towards him to speak with him, but suddenly a second one appeared from the shadows? and started to attack me. I was caught off-guard a bit, unsure if I was supposed to attack or not. Otherwise another superb game. - Play Mate

Excellent job, as always fellas. The lag must have been frusterating. You guys are always well organized and prepared - a top notch combination. Also, you keep us on our toes, and keep the pacing moving right along. Again, cheers. Can't wait for till next time!

Two sides of a coin: Stability issues (lower score), but you were forgiving when lag was bad (higher score for fairness). Fewer NPCs this time, but that accounted for more action. Every session needs a Nymph.

I was a little lost on the plot, but things are wrapping up on that island...and it's been difficult for me to keep track of the A & B accomplishments. No suggestions, though.

Great game again. Don't know how we keep surviving these dire encounters. Oh! ANd the tailored items and NPC encounters are appreciated. Hope we can see that Temple to Selune.

An amazing game! I liked how the DM team handled the skill checks (and the players too!). The style how they build the module from session to session, in according to the happenings, is just great! The hakpak is great and the use of all the goodies like DMFI Wand package, PHB Movement skills, Supply-based resting, Bleeding to death,... makes this game/campaign to one of the bests I ever played in!   You guys are great. I love the freedom in this campaign, though a strong leader character is absolutely required. I feel Calasil is getting into his role of leader now, and that the others get more respect for him and his capabilities (well Toby and Nathaniel at least :D)

Absolutely a superb game.

Good game, nice plot. DM's very active in playing NPC's. Server a bit unstable at the start of the game.

I felt there where too many players in the group - I never got to know some of them.

But a nice recover from a nasty crash, and a good, solidly entertaining game. Thank you!

There was an initial problem with the server not being up which was beyond your control. As solo DM with 5-6 players, you were superb in keeping up with what all of us were doing & keeping the game organized and moving. Previously I gave feedback that I'd like to see more custom treasure and you've started doing that--thanks. Combat was especially well done and challenging today. Even with the server issue I enjoyed this session greatly and it made my Top 5 Best list. Bravo!

Very VERY good considering it was only Wheldrake. Bit heavy on the people to question but have no info, and some people in the party don't seem to get that, so a subtle *couch* reel us in *couch* hint might help.

Excellent. Another one of those big pay off sessions. This campaign has the narrative flow of an well written TV show (both the DM's and Players being part of that) and it shows. This was a very good episode. Loved it.

Wheldrake and Felrazor are not good they are great. They work with one another (pre, during and post game) and you can see it by the way they tell the story (i.e. module). When you play with them you cannot be disappointed.

The game was late due to a server problem that was out of the controll of the DM's. This sort of thing happens and is not really anyones fault.

01/16/04 9 10 10 10 10 9 9 5 10 10
I truly enjoy playing in Forgotten Heroes and think the DMs are doing a marvelous job. Thanks for all your hard work. We had some server glitches beyond anyone's control, causing the game to start late. I did not mark this because everyone was present, just waiting for the server.

I have one request, a minor thing but it would increase my enjoyment. I'd like to see more custom magic items in the treasure which would be of specific interest & usefulness to individual players. Example: a scimitar with bonuses against undead for a druid, armor or boots that increase stealth for a scout, etc. (Can I say that my own char would really like a magic longbow without giving away my identity?) As a PnP DM, I always liked to place a few items targeted for specific PCs to enjoy, rather than just accept bland random treasure tables.

Tough to provide a review for this game. The DM team consists of 4 capable people, and the PC group was equally competent in all aspects of the game. However, that said, there is an obvious lack of motivation present on the DMing side which is a significant factor to consider. Being on that side of the fence many times before, I would find it difficult to judge, were there not 4 DMs present.

Top notch people all around, players and DMs, but no one at the top of their game. We have room for improvement.

[Felrazor's reply to comment: Huh? There is currently the main plot and 6 sub-plots revolving around it, including one of us saddled with a tag-along NPC. Each is designed for flexibility, yet to involve each player personally. That takes work, and occasionally the game play will slow for some. I guess I don't really understand what you see is the problem, something more specific would have been helpful.]

A great as ever a session. Giving us opportunities to roleplaying going mad. I think what I liked best about todays session is that we went up against a Spider King we had no hope of defeating by fighting. We had to figure out another way to stop him. Good game!

Overall this was another outstanding game. The adventure was well-plotted and moved along nicely. Excellent work as always on NPC roleplay.

The only downside was the final combat. It ended up being a train wreck. Most of the fault lies with the players for attacking without being fully prepared. We were never able to rest so we went in at partial strength. However I think the creatures were too strong to start with. We had 2 new chars at 2nd level, and the other chars were only level 3-4. Multiple ogres with berzerkers accompanied by many goblin elite was a fight way out of our league--even if we were at our full strength they still would have slaughtered us. I felt the DMs encouraged us to go after the chief ogre and in that case the encounters should have been scaled down so we had a chance of success.

Despite the rough ending I had a really great time & I'm glad to be playing again after the long break. Many thanks to the DM team.

This was a quieter affair than normal, but it was still filled with the things that make these games so enjoyable; characterisation, intrigue, plot and more plot, with a dash of plot for seasoning. The lower than normal number (and varying presence) of GMs was hardly noticeable.

When a game is called the world should no longer be influenced by what is done and said. It should all be taken as oc.

[Felrazor's reply to comment: That's OOC, not oc.]

The DMs overall did a great job as usual, but this was not a fun session due to the players not working together well.

As a PNP DM, I always avoided "instant kill" traps where one false step would immediately kill a player with no way they could recover themselves. The basilisk ended up being an instant-kill trap for Sable (and I suggest that at level 3, we should not be encountering basilisks). Further, as a PNP DM when one player was in a situation like that, I'd find a way prod the players into fixing their comrade (even to the point of putting the fix in their hands and shoving them into position, if they were being particularly obtuse) because I feel that no player should be left sitting alone for most of an hour listening to others fumbling around if there is any way to prevent it. Not saying you handled the situation wrong, just that I'd have done it differently.

I think the Soul Keep B group is in serious danger of disintigrating. Not sure there's anything you can do about it, but we definitely seem to be in a downward spiral.

[Felrazor's reply to comment: A basilisk is a CR 5 creature and the Will save DC is not unpassable by any means. A perfectly resonable encounter for a group of 6 3rd level PCs that slaughter everything in their quest for... more slaughter. The fact the the group ignored several areas before hand (in one of which was the means to cure you) is a consequence of their actions. My apologies for the 25 minute wait.]

This game met the typically high standards of this AMOOF DM team. I thought the NPC roleplaying was especially good tonight--distinct personalities all with their own beliefs and agendas. Always a pleasure. I'm looking forward to next week.

Good show you two. The plot hints (the coin, the city name) are well thought of and very mysterious to keep me eager. Very well done. The group is also very carefully selected which payed off. Thumbs up for that. If I may give you some tips. Give the players access to stores with placeables, this way you don't have to unpossess the merchants. Also if you can the non-plot related NPC's, such as the female villager who ignored me two times :(, that would make me a happy man. Otherwise a great start of an interesting campaign - Play Mate

[Felrazor's reply to comment: Heh, there were 4 Merchants available for the session. Three of them were placeables... Most women ignore strangers who make passes at them...]

What a game!! *WHEW!!!!* You guys threw the book at us with this one. There were plots running amok! What a blast, but I am sure you all need a good stiff drink. I was dizzy after this one. Seriously.

Even if this one hadn't directly related to my character, it would be on my best list. You guys worked real hard to put it together, and execute it. :)

Our first session went pretty smoothly. The NPCs had unique personalities and were fun to interact with. The plot is unraveling the more we investigate. All in all a good start.

I thinkthe game was quite well run and organised. What was eup[posed to be easy had turned on us, and proved to be a fun night. It is a little odd to be runnign off a module, as the side quest seem to be getting involved, but the Dm's are giving enough impetus to keep us moving.

11/23/03 10 10 10 10 10 5 10 10 10 10
It was a perfect, well balanced game, the best I played in months. I had my good share of fun. The only tear I shed is on account of treasure. I think it ought to be provided IN GAME. I don't mean there should have been tons of gems or gold, no. I like to finish the chapter of a campaign with enough gold to stock up on potions again and maybe be able to buy a little piece of gear. Every player should have the opportunity to gain as much, without being driven to make a rush at what the monsters drop, before their team mates can snatch it away. This is a sort of useless stress I do not like in game. You'll never see me dart to a chest or a loot bag. Bad vibes between teammates should be roleplayed, not forced upon by deprivation. Besides the roleplaying my aim is to adapt to the others, to improve the teamplay. Quarreling for loot is counterproductive. I believe it's fairly enough when you have monsters to fight and problems to solve. And one more thing: I do not believe that a bunch of sailors, mercenaries and fugitives would ever endanger their own lives and spend all of their dough without getting anything in return but battling experience and a warm handshake. I think they rather stay in their hammocks (like Kaal, lol) or help repair the ship in order to get away from that cursed place as soon as possible. Hence only a fair amount of treasure will keep the plot believable.
