This was definitely one of the best sessions I've ever had under you, Hoya. It makes me wonder, in part, how much of that was due to our dwindled numbers. Sometimes when we are in full, I get the feeling that you're having trouble handling us all (and rightly so). But with just 3-4 of us, you definitely excelled. You made the environment react to us, and while I've often felt in the past that we did the things we were doing because you were pushing us in that direction, this felt so much more free and non-linear.
I think it's a shame that I'm still completely in the dark as far as the purpose of the adventuring troupe, even though I've read the forums (which aren't entirely clear on the subject either). I think with the number of new recruits, namely Beyazid and Blaine, the opening 30 minutes or so of next session should really be focused on

Although it was one DM monitoring two separate groups at the same time, he managed to pull it off excellently. I never experienced any uncomofortable waits for feedback. Lots of vivid environmental descriptions.

Felt a bit rushed at times during inter-party banter when it really didn't need to be rushed. (i.e. thunderstorm and rat attacks) This indirectly caused the party to think that little to no planning should be done, making way for many bad decisions.
[hoyasaxa's reply to comment: Very good point and well taken. Rolled for the big storm (and wandering monster rats) and probably should not have pushed it so much - need to add weather effects scripting on pcs...Thsanks for the comment.]

Really well designed world. Very realistic. Did a good job at setting the envrionment and helping to keep the game moving foward. Great DM, good to have em out there doing us all a service.

Generally, the DM team did a pretty a good job.
Some of the encounters were a bit overpowering for a party of our level and equipment - which wasn't helped any by the oft disorganized approach the party took, not the DMs fault :)
Didn't seem to be much treasure; most of the monsters had no drops.
Had problems with resting due to area limits, though the DMs did make use of a workaround.
[hoyasaxa's reply to comment: The treasure like mthe counters are ment to be as realistic as possible. That said, there is always a way and you all were close, in battle, to objectives, and to booty.]

Some initial problems with the mod delayed the start by over an hour while things got sorted out with the server.
DMs were a little slow in providing info requested at one point which contributed in part to the party dividing, as other PC's kept going while I stood waiting for a response.
DMs seemed to do a good job of juggling NPCs and trying to interact with the party.
Monsters didn't have much of anything on them, not even gear to be stripped and sold.
DM provided a good backdrop for the campaign and session, and forums for players to post IC/OOC comments.

Server problems led to a late start. DM had power loss about an hour later and wasn't able to rejoin. Some of the encounters were a bit tough due to missing main warrior and the lack of gear possessed by new members.
New members were introduced into the story well and NPC interaction was interesting too. Party used time remaining after DM's disappearance to RP getting acquainted, so not a total loss.

An involved and intriguing storyline continues to evolve.
Server problems led to a rather extended break from play and then some lost time as things were reconstructed. We also ran a bit later than scheduled.
The endless summons by the spider leader were a bit excessive.

Fairly entertaining all the way around. One thing to be careful about is the respawing of stuff already found earlier. This happened a time or two in DOD as well I think. When it's minor stuff, it's no big deal, but if they are major items, it could imbalance things some.

*snif!* Time passes by too quickly, and sessions go by so fast. Things are picking up. I'm not sure where the OOC moments were... The only one I could think of is when one in the party decided to randomly rest and you had to cover. Above and beyond that, it'd be nice to know where some things struck *you* as OOC so that we can improve on that in future.

Wow, 100% roleplaying... Awesome! Nice use of the DM powers, what with using sounds and placeables and the like. The only *real* downside of the game was the glitches, caused by those *dreaded* scripts. Game would go so much more smoothly without them, heh! Above and beyond our second session with some sense of order. Congrats to all!

It was hard to review this game. The first half was basically a group witnessing a solo adventure, while the second half was incredibly entertaining. Even if it was a really hard battle, it got us to really co-operate (mildly). Brilliant move with the martyrdom of a party member, added a certain tragedy to the story and redefined the party. Also thought that the control over the NPC Astriel was also well done, made her feel slightly less scripted than usual (an aspect that's bugged me somewhat with this particular mod). Next session the party really should discuss things through rather than act as though they've played the mod before (as not all of us have). So otherwise, things are improving more and more with each session. See you on tuesday!

Yet again, another captivating job by the DMs. I always felt involved and knew there was more going on than only what was shown on the screen. The NPCs are entertaining and alive. This is what I look forward to during the week. They even catered to my horrible computer problems. Thank you and well done.

Interesting plots and subplots. Like the open-ended nature of things. Do think the DMs should be a little less merciful to those who wander into trouble unsupported. ; that might help cure the more chaotic tendencies of some. Server problems again forced a restart after a bit of a delay.

I had a ridiculously fun time playing with this DM. Coupled with the out of game forum, the gameplay he provides is simply astounding. I feel like I can count on him for any problems I might encounter, and I can always assume I'll be amply rewarded for my roleplaying efforts. This is what Neverwinter Nights and Dungeons & Dragons strives to be, and Hoyasaxa hits it right on the nail.

Excellently done! Finally there seems to be some sense and some order. Definitely the best session thus far. It's a shame that none of the cut-scenes or other scripted materials seem to work at all, but to be perfectly honest, it's far more entertaining and involving when the player speaks with a DM-possessed NPC, rather than engages in a scripted dialog. And the new use of 'talk' rather than 'party' was absolutely great. My text screen was no longer flooded with things that I wasn't hearing. I think that the more customising you do with the module itself, and less you make players really on scripted variables, the better these sessions will become! The scripts should be used to add a sense of ambience, rather than directly liven up the PCs lives.
Once again, very nicely done, and still room for improvement! I have high hopes. Hopefully things will stay this good as we inflate back to our original size.

The cat herding continues:) The DM's quite creative but obviously stretched thin trying to keep up with a party of the size and diversity of interests as our is thus far.
Server problems led to a rather late start.
[hoyasaxa's reply to comment: Size yes, diversity of characters no. Diversity of players...maybe. But we shall see. 2nd game back from a long hiatus. Think we will have smoother and smoother experiences- I for one relish diversity of characters types and motivations with common ends and diffeent means and rationales for reaching them.]

It was really hectic. Though, that wasn't your fault. That kind of insanity is unavoidable when one DM tries to manage seven players, all with different ideas. And if the players don't have different ideas, then the characters do. The group itself has no center. We're a semi-communal collective, who are forced to help each other reluctantly. Almost everyone has their own personal goals that they want to pursue. In that sense, the group can't be realistically forced to stick together.
And with one DM around, this tends to lead to a feeling that only one character can actually interact with their world at a time. The rest either have to go wander off and interact on their own way privately, or talk amongst themselves, flooding the chat window, no matter how far away. The group might just be too big for using the Party mode.
But ultimately, it's just too much to ask for from a single DM, in a world filled with so many things to interact with. Even when all the players are together, there's disorder amongst them, because everyone's trying to put in their say. It's the equivalent of having a party where everyone talks at once. A lot of things end up being left out, and a lot of people too. The only suggestion I can possibly make is to try and get another DM or two on board, and to possibly turn the messaging from 'party' to 'talk'. Because as it stands, everything with the campaign is just fine, except for the disorder.
On a positive note, the level of 'order' has improved since the last session. No reason we can't somehow make it work and improve it some more. But at this point, sticking-together might not be the best solution.

A very conversation-dominant game, with no fighting or combat at all - but an excellent 'scene-setting' episode.

The Bad
The transition from being on the road to reaching town was rather abrupt. I think this cut off some RP and some player interaction with NPCs was disrupted as well.
Occasionally there was a little lag in the main town.
Given there were supposed to be 3 DMs, occasionally responses from NPCs were a little slow.
I think it would've been wise to set up a short get acquainted and partying up scene at the beginning of the session. While some PCs met in the mini-session last week on the road, not everyone was there and IC rationale to just starting trooping around town together simply wasn't there.
Not all players adhered to the revised starting level announcements in creating characters, so some in the party are a couple of levels higher than others and the DMs did not correct this.
Given the number of quests and sidequest that can be started by scripted conversations, I think it would wise for the DMs to take a bit stronger role in reinforcing the direction they would like us to go. Otherwise, I see a really slow and drawnout future in store for us as people start more and more quests without everyone being on hand to get all the info related to such missions.
The Good
Good creative use by DMs of various NPCs and animals.
Quite a bit of dicebag use to expand options and allow players more creativity in the game.
DM's award bonus XP during session for RP actions.
Overall
A fun, but rather chaotic, first session:)

Overall, it was really fun. However, I think it could've used a good preliminary session or something, because we were all thrown into the action at the very beginning without really knowing what was going on or where we stood on things. This caused our party to be somewhat scattered at the very beginning. It would be nice to be able to have a bit more time to have a bit of "lax" RP, like at the taverns, or when people tried to introduce each other. But then again, that's probably one the difficulties of managing a fairly large group. However by the end of it all, I just kept wanting to play on, so good show!

Good Job guys, even with the technical problems. I used to build a lot myself, and scripts can be a pain. Ya fix one think only to break 2 other. You did a good job overcoming the problems and the game continued smoothly.

The game was fun, though a bit frustrating on my end. I am on dial up, and when 15 orcs are on the screen, Lag is terrible. Also the challenges seemed a bit overwhelming, granted, some of them we could have avoided, and would have if not for the power of the majority. Overall it was fun and a good job

Good job DMs, the game went relatively smoothly, though there was a little confusion at the end. Who was where, up or down, across the chasm or back to the other side? A rope or a rope bridge? Just some issues, also maybe next time when the party get separated, have the others break from the party, so we don't know where they are and can't hear them on Party Chat. Just some suggestion, overall I give the game a 9 out of 10, having DMed online, I know how hard it is to coordinate with other DMs and keep track of the players at the same time. Kudos to you guys, you did a great job!

Hmm.. Well, it's tough with so many people to get them all going in the same direction. But that isn't a DM issue. It was good you gave us all the time we needed to figure things out. Once we got moving the game was more fun and it was nice to see some of the inter-character issues coming to the surface.

Noticed a big difference in the treasures we had came across. Like more healing and scrolls. Very Nicely done. Not too much, but just perfect. Probably could of used more NPC/Player involvement in the beginning with the slaves. Felt you let us move to quickly, to fight. Didnt get the full feel of being tied to the Oar. This may of been, because of too many people playing also. Great Game, Thanks.

well, Joe and co. welcomed Merry back with open arms and then promptly threw him into the Underdark without a map. Fortunately, his companions, although a bit quirky, helped the halfling survive in the brutal Underdark at least for this one session.

Perhaps best yet...I would've thought with all of the DM's I wouldn't have a problem getting a request taken care of, and had a few times checks didn't get taken care of. Oh well perhaps too many cooks in the kitchen. I was verall satisfied with Hoya and and Schranz, schranz of whom is never vocal enough. This is a good way to keep the adventure though.

Great game.
I was going to exit my character after a great scene that left him with one main goal, but the way the DMs handled it made me think that maybe it would be better to stay - as the character. There is more yet to be accomplished and, perhaps, new 'personal' goals and missions to acquire. A major communique needs to be delivered for sure.

Lots of combat, borderline impossible battles but it was about time, we dealt with some serious motivated foes and didn't really have time to prepare for the next battle. That's fine, things happen and I welcomed the challenge. DM's really do reward for thinking outside of the box. Still trying to figure out all of the factions!! We destroyed the drow outpost, but mind flayers were there, and more drow that looked different. Were they reinforcements or a waring faction? Then the DUERGAR showed up to add their two copper pieces. Wish the session was longer and can't wait to play again.

Excellent game even with the near TPK. After all, we made it through, right? ;)
The NPCs were superbly played this week and there was lots of room for good roleplay and tactics to avoid unecessary difficulty.
The traps were a bit overpowering in some areas, but then again we're mostly dealing with powerful ancient places. You wouldn't expect to see weak traps. I just wish we could see more of them, so they might be avoided.
Oh and the Urdunnir holy city is gorgeous, as well as deadly!

Well paced again. There were breaks or pauses like a good TV show at all of the right places. More role playing this time, which is perfectly ok. Need a brain compass to keep up with all that is going on. Love it.

Another good game guys. Thank you for helping me get sorted out when I lost everything after my crash. Even though I did crash, it seemed like the server was much more stable.
This plot is getting good. Especially with the group split up, or did they get back together at the end? I don't know because when I could get back on everyone was in the bubble and you all had left already.
Will Vincent listen to anybody with direction sense? Or a map? Stay tuned.

The only complaint I can come up with is that the trap that killed me hit for 170 points of damage. thats an instant kill for us at our level. I saw the scorch marks and decided to still open it ....thats all my fault though ill think twice about doing that again

Better treasure this time, I just wish there was a better way of handling it instead of everyone hording and/or kill jumping.
A few too many glitches and crashes made playing quite frustating at times, especially in the beginning of the session.
However, Hoyasaxa still ran a fairly tight game that was fun to play.

Another great game. Had problems with two characters with connection problems. A bit of fighting and lots of role playing. I like the way the characters can make their own adventure, very fluid.

Great job! This was my first DMed game using NWN and it took a bit of getting used to, but once I got in the swing of things, these guys made it an awesome experience. Nice plot twists and interesting NPC's.
There were a few glitches with the game freezing on me, but overall everything went quite smoothly.

Lots of creatures killed, few treasures found. Loved the maze aspect of the underground. Lots of choices on what to do next. Great job.
[hoyasaxa's reply to comment: Thanks, fun session! treasure score: 10 would be "just right"...given what you faced and where you are...you never did get to any 'lairs' - save the cubes... mostly you were in 'transit' - and not much is simply lying around in the Underdark ...you all moved so quickly you may have missed a lot treasure...assure you there is much more booty to be had and won inm this adventure.....]

well besides me coming in an hour late(clock was not set right) and not knowing what was going on at the start It picked up and we got rolling. their were some slow parts(the death which happened because of miscommunication or misunderstanding) were dealt with with very innovative measures added alot to the game good quick wit there. I wish the game would have continued seems we just get rolling and blamo time to wrap it up hits up. That is a good sign i think though
[hoyasaxa's reply to comment: Player one hour late and dies out of foolishness quickly. The game was well organized, the plot and subplots tight, treasure totally appropriate for where the characters are..hard time understanding why this player continues to give the DM(s) sub-par marks. Perhaps more rationale into his scoring would be helpful.
