The two DMs involved were very friendly and helpful at the beginning of the session. I'm looking forward to more adventures with them at the lead.

This intro to the world of The Full Monty was just right. In just a few minutes, I felt I was becomming involed in a story that was much deeper than the part I played... Just what I needed for the role playing I crave.

I was disappointed in that the Lead DM, Onda.. did not answer several direct questionis in the preliminary gathering before the game started, and then seemed in a rush without offering a viable in game reason. This looks to be a world that I could enjoy, if things were made a little more clear, rather than just seeming to be a forced recruitment drive.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: Hey there is a forum for that. Do you think it's easy to explain a complex PW using a few chat lines and when all the other players are making silly comments? The chat window sometimes scrolls very fast. Beside, a good player will always research the game before the start.]

A very nice adventure, that was very heavy on the role play side. The DMs did a great job of setting the table, and then letting the players role play their way through it. The banter and conflict was great. I look forward to seeing more, as the characters grow and are ready to face sterner foes.

Seemed a very good team of Dm's, and a great world they 've made and are maintaining. Something I will definitely look into. thanks for a good game

This was just an intro game, so the plot didn't go as deep as it will. I can already sense the plot will deepen considerably and things get better. The DM's were fair, and ran a great game. I will definately be back for more of The Full Monty. Thanks for the good game, and the perfect world for a rogue to get in trouble.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: Exactly. It was just a short 1 hour intro for new players. More complex plots happen in other sessions.]

A very professionally run event by a very professional DM team. The setting and NPCs were vibrant, especially the DM controlled characters. The pace of the game was never rushed, but there were several twists to the plotline. Roleplay was encouraged and rewarded as stated. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience and one that I hope to repeat

Running around in the snow trying to figure out what happened to the map and where the bones were was fun. The crypt seemed a bit tough for the group (but we survived), and the last encounter was way above their heads, so balanced encounters still seem to need a bit of working on. But this was fun and I hope the next session in the story is soon.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: The encounters are never "balanced" for the benefit of the party in TFM. Unlike the previous modules, this one has dangerous places and easy places regardless of the level of the party members.]

Good game. Plot was well thought out. The encounters did get too difficult at some stages though.

More fun to have the encounters mitigated (remove most higher level critters) and maybe more frequent to compensate.

When the DM has to resort to making PCs immortal then its too tough. I had the damage numbers scrolling for about 5 minutes after the combat ended (in tower) (then the server crashed).

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: I soon realised that it was getting too tough. But it was Doffer choice of location... The drow tower encounters may have to be permanently toned down. Last time another party went in there they also got massacred.]

Although the game went into overtime there was so much action I didn't notice until the very end when someone mentioned it. Although I am curious as to if the Bones were actually located there in the first place or moved there do to the duration of the game.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: The "bones" were located in the Drow tower for a very specific still unknown reason. See forum for more info.]

The best laid plans of mice and DM's often go awry. We killed the golem, eventually, although not in the clean and skillful way he deserved. Spark D. Mithral Golem will be sorely missed... It will be interesting to see how the plot goes from here.

An excellent plot, pitting the good characters against the devious triumverant of Pliny, Piddle and Naa'la. The Mithral golum is a great addition and the race to find witnesses to that dastardly murder last week was great. Can't wait to see who Black Lotus is.

Peddler says go to Gangrene High Passage. We do. Shades says chase the Golem. Then the Golem shows up? Really felt like we were being manipulated into doing what the DM wanted instead of playing our PCs. So the golem leaves, we can't find him (teleported again?). We are told to go to the Farmlands. I don't think any of us could even dent the thing. We weren't given time to find ways to harm him. Why make him too hard for the party you had? Despite the Peddler saying evidence was likely to be found on the golem, there was none. The convo with the "three" felt like they had a different script than us (partly their fault for not listening well). I also didn't like having no choice to take the mission. Didn't feel party led, but ring-through-the-PCs-noses led. And the pick-pocketing really makes it difficult to choose whether to run in circles or talk. Feels unbalanced.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: When a PC register for a scheduled session it implies that they accept the mission. No ifs - No buts. From your comments you show that you are a newbie and should listen more to what the more experienced characters had to say. This was a 3 faction story and of course you would get pulled by each in turn to "work for them". It only shows your ignorance of the plot. Go back to your run of the mill campaigns.]

It was tougher, no doubt, this time for the DM's to balance everything. Level 12, 7 and 4 playing. Yet it was done and the adventure was a good one. The interactions with the characters and the DM controlled NPC's was fun, especially in, can't remember spelling, bearded gnome town. Can't wait for next installment. Pliny

The game was well run. Obviously since no one is very advanced or have good equipment there wasn't much fighting that was challenging. A simple task for low level characters. Map the area. The DM took advantage of our party by picking off stragglers who thought it was a good idea to rest and picnic amidst speared corpes and this drew the rest of us in like flies to a honey pot when we tried to rescue them. The rewards were rather limited as was the xp. Could have gotten more individually but the server is dedicated to roleplaying anyway. Can't wait to get my evangelistic Paladin Doffer back into the game. But I'm happy to make do with Billy Bumpershoot for now.

Thought this game was bad when it started, but it just got worse. Nobody seemed to be working together, the rogues took all the treasure, the DM seemed to be in a bad mood, the monsters were way too difficult for level 1 characters (making me feel like a useless add-on), there was no room for roleplay and the only NPC was the DM's avatar who constantly spoke OOC.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: reply to the above score of Challenge = 3 (didn't leave a comment) "The adventure was way too challenging or not challenging enough." After the second attempt at the smuggler's port, those left in the party succeeded with no problem at all. The first attempt was a failure because the party refused repeated tips from the 2 DMs. ]

This session seemed much more balanced. There was room for roleplaying, too, which I really liked, though still quite a bit of fighting. I would have wished for a bit more complexity, however, in finding the guardian. I hope to see sessions in the new mod soon.

A good game. The creatures were weighted well according to the strenghts of our party. Would have been nice if there were more baddies than those lousy electricity slinging entins (who I had a propensity of failingmy saving throw against). But it was a good conclusion to a well done module. I only got 3 hours of sleep the past two days just so I could participate (waking up at 4 am. like I did). This is an excellent world for folks that like to solve problems, roleplay and fight. The DM has rewarded me well for my characters overacting and

The challenge of the vrocks seemed too much for the level of the group as a whole. The first battle at the portal was not fun for me because it took so long and more baddies kept coming. The second was not as bad as there were fewer and they weren't there all at the beginning. It seemed scaled for the character levels present. Thank you for the NPC help. Despite this, I do look forward to the next session as we look for the portal guardian.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: A fitting description since there was a "pit" in the crypt. The spawns in that place scale up to the party level. I have seen previous parties getting no Bodaks at all but lots of revenants and others had skeleton warriors. Never easy but challenging according to the party involved.]

Onda has put together a great world. I really enjoy how everything is tied together, little things in one place affect another. This session is the first for this quest and there will be many more quests, all affecting the world and in which I hope to participate.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: Yes little things somewhere affect other big things somewhere else. (Chaos theory) I spent a lot of time devising the relations of different elements in the campaign (on paper) the drawback is that new players often miss the plot because of it's subtility. ]

DM did a good job getting an unruly, unorganised and inexperienced group together, salvaging what could have been the session from hell and turning it into a good game. One player who immediately showed himself to be an idiot was dealt with harshly but fairly, which stopped him spoiling it for others. Good work.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: Yes and this players was not even booked for the session. It was a casual player brough in by someone else.   I think there was too much of a spread between levels. Some characters were cutting down enemies like a hot knife through butter, while others were struggling. But, with more people joining the campaign late in, I can't see what the DM can do. As such, this is not a comment aimed at the DM but newcomers - try and play as often as you can, including out of session, and catch up levels fast. This was still a great game though, no doubt about that.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: This is a reply to the scores below. Since it has no comments. Organizing play >> 4 Objectivity >> 4 ?? I don't get it. Does this mean that I am not any good at organizing a game? and there is favoritism? If people are unhappy about something they should at least explain why. Will we save those human settlements from the giants' raids?

One more step on a long and twisting trail, and a very satisfying session. We killed hordes of goblins, achieved our goal, and made it home again. This world draws one in with comradeship, fun and urgent battle--til it seems near as real as the one left behind.

Well, we put up a valiant fight and made it out alive, but we didn't get the stone. Once more into the breach...

The game is getting better and better as we begin to journey and fight as a team, and as we begin to get some glimmerings of the underlying plot.

Good game. Server crashes made it hard but the DM helped us cope and pushed us to get started.

Kudos to the DM's for handling so many new to the world players as well as the familiar with the world players.... As well as the influx of new players eager to learn about the world, but who hadn't signed up for the game. The on-the-fly separation of of the huge group into 2 parties, and coming up with different quests for the two parties was admirable. Both the intro quest and the ongoing "listening at windows" quest are good variations on a "live the world, learn the world" theme, and will help those who stay become more well rounded successful characters. (And the battles! ugh - goblins breed like rabbits.)

Very nice! Though we went to areas that all have visited before, the unexpected addition of monsters, clues and treasure made this a pleasure of an adventure. Hands-on yet non-obtrusive DMing makes these adventures personalized and fun. The plot-line is a nice one for demonstrating the crafting capabilities in this world.

This was a great session, and I expect to see more instalements. The two DM's were on time and handled the unexpected onflow of extra players. This was an overly enjoyable session.

One bad thing about it was delay in NPC control but since we had two parties and they had to be dealt with at the same time makes it alright. I'm glad my first NWC session stared, progressed and ended well.

Good game play and I never knew you were there which what I expect in a good DM.

One minor problem with one of the scripts dealing with the QM quest to exchange goblin scout hides for $. Even though the script indicated he would purchase them, i could not get rid of them.

Great game, very good party play. Even though we failed to achieve our quest goal, still had a blast. Thanks

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: Bug noted. The original scriptor tells me that I have to add one of the skins on the ground somewhere in the module. I do place one manually atm but I must have forgotten after reloading the mod. Will correct it for the next upgrade. Thnx for reminding me.]

A well deserved ten for everything! It started as an easy recon mission, but then by misadventure we ended up in a deep dungeon inhabited by undead and cultists. During one big battle where we were surrounded in this big room was the most memorable, maybe one of my most memorable battles to date. Turn undead did it's job while I ran around healing the fallen, until we managed to fight our way through the mass of zombies to get to the exit.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: Because the party had a healer they even managed to get back all in one piece and nobody died. Someone said that zombies breed like rabbits...;-) ]

A peek at the machinations underlying our beginners' session--this is recruiting for the main plot, a story which started about 2 months ago and may last up to 2 years. Best comment in this session--"next time Borg being eaten by pigs - you people not stand and watch"

Play dragged a bit at first, but I felt that was mainly due to the players. I like the DM's style, don;t even know hes there most of the time and his NPC interaction is seamless.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: I was reading some comments from other DMs in the NW University forum.. They mention that it takes an average party over an Hour to get organized. We are well within the norm.]

This series is an excellent way to give newer players an intensive introduction to their new world. Today's episode was more hack-n-slash than some, but provided ample opportunities for players to role-play and practice the skills of working as a team.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: Yes I like to run the party through the Hack and slash section from time to time. This was the series that attracted the regular players in the first place. It is a fun dungeon and a change of pace from the more roleplay missions. And there are necessary clues to be found there too. (and more treasure than in the usual stories)]

This quest was a lot of fun. It was a good mix with high and low level characters, and a great travelling adventure. The dragon at the end was a little overpowering, but the party ran with style and made it to safety. Good job dealing with some inter-party friction too, letting everyone try to role play a way out of the conflict.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: There was ample warning before hand. A cryptic message from the Great druid about which side is safer, A corpse on the ground with pools of blood. etc.. The Dragon was not supposed to leave the building through the door. But I just lost my connection (ISP disconnect) precisely at that time ;-( ]

Probably my own fault but I believe I initially went to the wrong area. It was a little tough but I survived and went up a level. Main problem I couldn't find any shops not inns with the exception of a caravan merchant which was beyond my level to use. The DM did show up and give me hints on where to go (North). I was probably suppose to leave the city but stayed put to use my Temple as a base to resupply and level from.

A lot of time went into this module and I definately am appreciative of that. I'll feel my way around a bit more head North as instructed.

I look forward to becoming immersed in the role playing and this world.

Piddle

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: This is the problem with playing an evil character when on the server for the first time. I would recommend testing the place with a chaotic good fighter for ease of getting to know the place. Other more complex characters can be developped later on. I must also say that this was the only player for the session and that I had a lot of connections problems that day. (must have crashed 5 or 6 times in an hour)]

Oh and by the way... What you call a viking helmet isn't.. they didn't have horns in them.. One like that Thanos weared is more correctly...

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: The plot seem vague to a newbie because it is far too complex to be typed in-game chat. Refer to the forum threads: http://www.neverwinterconnections.com/forums/index.cfm/fuseaction/viewthreads/id/842/.htm ]

Any scores seen as negative a) are not meant to be, and

b) reflect on the players of this particular session more than anything

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: Well I don't understand because the numbers are meant to reflect the server / module / DM The players are to be rated separatly. So it is possible to have a great party of players with a bad DM and vice versa. But after all some low scores are more meaningfull than some DMs I have seen with perfect straight 10's from their mates... ]

A very well organized training system for new players and plenty of attention by DMs makes this world an outstanding pick, especially for newbie players. I thoroughly enjoyed my training and the game. I am especially grateful to the players who were recruited to form a party strong enough to effectively use a beginning bard.

[Ondaderthad's reply to comment: And the DM had a fantastic time too. I hope the Bard recorded Peirdot family stories for a song. I was literally Laughing Out Loud. Although the plot was rather simplistic, the characters were all so well played... This is the stuff that makes epic stories. ]

It's rare someone can run an adventure with a large group of characters of such varying levels (3rd-9th I think), and have everyone able to contribute and accomplish their goals.

It started a little slow and confusing, but picked up some speed, with a big finale battle, setting the stage for part 2. Great job!

I do have to say that you showed extrordinary patience letting some players take pot shots at a dragon... I might have toasted them, except it might have meant a little too much carnage for the rest of the party....
