I am so sad this has wrapped up, my wednesdays will seem empty indeed now.

Wheldrake...you are a master storyteller, your DM'ing, your IC posts, all went to make this an awesome experience, I hope we can play again soon.

Taniki...You have been awesome, your skill has improved in leaps and bounds, you have learnt from the master I think.

I thank you both for making so many Wednesday nights so enjoyable.

Thanks for a great run on this campaign. Kudos to the entire DM team but especially to Wheldrake for leading. I'll miss this games while we take a summer break. I look forward to what you come up with for continuing the adventures of these characters.

Ah...the campaign comes to a close at last. It would have been nice, but very unrealistic for us to have been able to confront Vino directly. Anyway, it was a good ending to the main plotline; satisfying to finally reach our goal, and executed well.

I can't say too much about the DMs in this game as it was the players which mostly caused aggravation during this game. The only thing I can say is to possibly tone down the amount of SR monsters thrown at the party. It's become an all too frequent annoyance. Skeleton Warriors, Grigs, I can't name any encounter that didn't have an SR creature and wasn't well below the party's CR. Little was left to do for my character, actually nothing.

Another great session. A little less roleplay and more combat than your usual, but we had a lot of ground to cover and talking more would have slowed us down. Not actually facing Vino and having him die off-camera was a little bit anticlimactic--I get the reasons, but after all he'd been though, maybe he could've been weakened (like all his cleric spells were washed out cause his god deserted him or something). I wish we could have gotten some good loot as a result of defeating him. Hopefully the Baron will have a treasure trove. :)

One of the best games I've played in this series and just plain one of the top games overall as well. Taking control of the familiar, good work with Igor the, recent, history of the tower and so on. I also liked the amulet and it's drawing of summoned minions to us, the use of magical knowledge (spellcraft) to learn things was very handy and very enjoyable this time around as well. I had so much fun I started to wonder if I might be hogging it, great game.

This was a tough session. At the start, there was once again something wrong with the saved chars--unfortunately this is outside the control of the DMs. Encounters were interesting and challenging until we got into the castle. Then it was just overwhelming. I understand the intent that we couldn't beat the Bone Golem and had to find a way other than frontal assault. However, it was too much for us to be ambushed from behind as we encountered the golem. We were attempting to scout the level--from the cellar, there was nowhere to go but that area. While trying to look around, we were swamped with no way to retreat. If Jacia hadn't been luckily separated from us AND able to cast invisibility, it would have been a TPK, and not due to particularly bad decisions on player's parts. When the DM said they had us in a pincher movement and "I hadn't planned that" it bothered me... DMs need to work as deux ex machina to keep the encounters challenging and potentially fatal, but survivable. Please also watch the comments at the end of the game. Our objective has been to kill Vino, and now we've heard that we can't survive a fight with him. Does this mean it's always been intended that he's supposed to get away again? We'll try to roleplay our chars without metagaming, but a spoiler like that is hard to put out of mind. I've been critical of a couple decisions but I want to add that overall the DMing has been excellent, and the DMs did more things right than wrong last night. I appreciate your hard work, and even the very worst of your sessions have still been well-run and fun.

[Wheldrake's reply to comment: My end-game comment was simply intended to tell you this: don't expect to charge into him head-on and win. There must be other ways. ]

An amazing game. My favorite so far.

Really good job by both the DMs and designers. NPC chat was nicely done, and accidental plot twists (the odd unexpected player death) were handled really well on the fly. New areas were great, adding a lot to the atmosphere of the campaign

Great game you two. This game definitely was deserves to go on your highlight reel. I cannot say enough of how impressed I was especially the graphic with our monk, Elindith, having the breath of fire breathed into him returning him to life.

The difficulty of the opponents we faced was clearly a great fit. Challenging enough that we had to use our wits to keep everyone alive.

Only thing that I can ask for is there a way to have us replenish our healing supplies? For the past 3 sessions Col our low level druid has been our only healer and due to his level he cannot truly keep up with the damage that we now are required to face. This is just a suggestion to an otherwise GREAT GAME.

I think they did a good job with all the problems we had, but perhaps everyone was a bit too tired to really do a great job. I would play with them again anytime though.

The game ran smoothly and i had a lot of fun. Some of the pick-up players acted a bit immature at times, but it was way better than no players. Although the server had been troubled earlier, the game was fun and the DM was great at adapting to the situation.

Very good and balanced game. Many ways to use different skills and abilities to progress in the game

As always, superb job. Consistantly superb. The Red Slaad was a barrel of laughs! (bow to Taniki). The placables, layout, atmosphere, plot!.. er. there's really just too much to name. Peace.

Boy does time fly when having fun. I swear I blinked and the session was over! This was by far the best session to date.

04/14/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
This was an absolutely outstanding session. Great use of NPCs. The slaad and mindflayer were especially well played. Can't wait for next week.

Just when I think it cant get better it does, I so enjoyed this session, the players and the plot, I finally started to get into the plot instead of worrying about my char which was good! - the tells and stuff you sent me where good Whel, although it takes me time to process clues sometimes ;). All round awesome session, this absolutely makes my week playing this game.

Thanks to you DM's! This session was a lot of fun. I actually walked away feeling we accomplished something big! I know it is hard to herd some of the wanderlust struck players..but you guys do it somehow. Next week is sure to be a doozy!

Good game this week. The DMs always know what they are doing so I am always excited to participate in the campaign. This week the umber hulk was challenging I like that. I hope that there will be a lot more battles like that it seems that we are at that point where we just tear through monsters.

Igor was great he added that humour to the game that is always enjoyable to have. Great job on him.

On the hound archon it is hard to say what should have happened. I know my character would not have let him out since in truth he has no idea what it is. And than again is it really a hound archon or just some balor waiting to tear our heads off and feast on our innocent souls.

04/04/04 8 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9
Hmmm...not exactly what I was expecting (I was sure we'd see Barghal again already) but still lots of fun. Will be nice to have somewhere to stay where we're not in danger of being killed off all the time

04/01/04 8 10 10 10 10 9 8 10 8 10
This was a great game, I am glad my char is finally released from his mental shackles, a very enjoyable session, I think everyone players and DMs were a little tired at the end and we all disintegrated a bit, I have no ideas how I got killed at the end which is a bit of a peave, I simply cant lose Khaimas now!!! - Hehe only just feel like I got him back

If we are to have super hard combat like that (two players killed with single hits) it would be nice to have a bit more DM atmospheric telling to let us know how dark and evil the place was, and that we perhaps should have been much more careful, but as I said I think we were all tired, I know I was, I was nearly asleep!

All in all a superbly DM'ed game, NPCs are inspirationl, I think we as players soetimes try to have to much going on but you guys seem to cope admirably.

Well done

03/31/04 7 7 9 8 8 5 5 10 8 8
Once again well done! I cannot wait to venture further into the crypt. That reaper was scary as all hell!

03/29/04 10 9 9 10 9 9 7 10 9 8
I liked the game. One thing that was mentioned was that the challenges might be tweeked a little. The group with Algernon there, plus being provided the newer items of power, is a little more powerful than I otherwise thought. I loved the way the DM's had the manticore use guerilla tactics to fight. If it had stayed on the ground it would have died I believed. I am still perplexed at what occurred with Raven but I hope that will be explained over the boards this week.

03/28/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
I really loved how it flowed. The pace was perfect for me. Oh yes, and Gallandra was an absolute highlight. Kudos. Best game I had in months.

Loved the plot twist at the end...really didn't see that one coming. Amazing how a few items change the team's ability to fight...should be interesting

03/26/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 9 8
You guys are awesome, I love playing in this campaign. I am having a hard time with the way I have set my character up but all I get from you guys is encouragement, thank your for the tells giving me hints, I need that this week, I actually levelled due to all the DM wand bopping, I think my chars head should be sure from all that bopping =:)

I had a struggle following everything this week, a few times there were too many things happening, it can be hard it chars not present are still in party talk. Otherwise these games are flawless.

The plot thickens, and things start to come together. Another excellent session, and I can't wait to see how things pan out...

Oh, man that was quite possibly one of the best ever.

03/24/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Once again you have outdone yourselves. It seems each session is better than the previous. I cannot wait to see what next week brings!

Once again, a great game. It had become a little frustrating at times, as if we were somewhat stuck with little options but it seems we've picked up where we're

03/21/04 9 9 10 10 9 8 8 9 10 10
Again the DM team truly shined and handled an unexpected situation very well.

03/21/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 9 9
Great game as usual. The three DMs work great as a team. They set the mood and the environment of the game to be as close to a pen and paper as you can get with the engine.

Great job to all of you.

03/17/04 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 8 9 9
While I enjoyed the session, I felt like we were on a rudderless ship most of the evening. I like it better when we have some clear objectives versus wandering aimlessly. Very glad to solve the mystery of the harpy and that was well handled. I was also glad to see Noin get an interesting amulet artifact--I think this will help Hijima play a more active role. NPC roleplay was up to your usual high standards & continues to make the gameworld come alive. Thanks

03/17/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Good stuff tonight. The party was a bit slow to make decisions but thats no surprise. Good number of plot elements were dropped for being a game where many of our normal players where missing. I know you guys were just waiting for us to kill that dark spearman, with all his buddies up on that hill...

Oh yah, the description and jumping of the manticores to describe their flight was well done! You get S rank for that!

03/17/04 8 9 10 9 10 9 10 8 9 10
Well run, well roleplayed and well thought out. Cannot wait for another round!

03/15/04 8 10 10 10 10 8 8 9 9 10
This campaign is getting closer and closer to PnP. I don't know what higher compliment one can give. Up there with some of the best PnP sessions I have had.

But please - no more skeleton warriors! *winks*

03/14/04 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
A great time yet again. Thank you!

03/14/04 10 10 10 10 10 8 8 10 10 10
what thrilled me most were the dwarven mercenary npcs. Very, very nicely played. Kudos! :-)

Wow. The NPCs really came alive, combat encounters were handled well, and the mod is gorgeous. Really, really outstanding all around. I liked the way you handled the manticore glitch & let Kel try the ritual to bring Khaimas back. This was a Top 5 caliber game. Thanks!

03/10/04 10 10 10 10 10 8 10 9 10 10
Thid DM team just keeps getting better and better, I really look forward to the next game.

Loved all the intrigue and NPC interaction. Whoever played Garrity did a great job for not tipping their hand whose side he was on. Should make for an interesting next couple sessions

03/07/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 9 10
An amazing game, right up there with the best PnP sessions I have had. The players roleplayed excellently, the DMs were fantastic, and the plot wasn't predictable. Once we had pieced together the facts, we started to work out what was going on - and it wasn't obvious until the very end what that was. Simply excellent.

03/06/04 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Great game, yet again!!! Wonderful storyline, great storytelling dms, fantastic all around.

03/06/04 8 8 9 10 9 8 8 8 10 9
An excellent game as DM Wheldrake and another DM that jumped in for a while demonstrated their story-telling abilities. No combat but plenty of plot. A good

Great game as per usual. Trying to solve the Old Man's crazed words was excellent, especially as he painted what was to occur. I am wondering what would have happened to Danvill if he had been allowed to finish his picture?

02/29/04 9 10 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9
What can I say...some of the best DM's we have, working really well together. NPC talk was great, and with this many DM's it allowed a lot more intrigue to be added to the game. Great job guys

02/29/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
By far the best game I've played yet, with the best DM's.

Fantastic.

02/29/04 8 10 10 10 10 10 8 8 9 9
The game was extremely fun, and the DM team did much to make the plot come to life. Easily the best game I've had in a long time, and I'm looking forward to playing again.

02/28/04 10 10 10 10 10 5 10 10 10 10
Smooth game. I liked it very much

02/28/04 9 8 10 10 9 10 9 8 9 9
A lot of empty space where nothing happened. I can't say what is at fault for that exactly, but there was quite a bit of staring at the enemy while they stared at you. Given that a large portion of the session was taken up by very repetitive dialogue, it became rather boring, really.

02/27/04 10 10 10 10 10 9 9 10 9 10
Game was simply outstanding. Very quick response to the whims and wiles of the characters. I loved the preparation on the boat ride with the descriptions and effects - again - oustanding. The new DMs did a fantastic job - please come again! I bet it was a lot of fun working together. Great NPC work, very very responsive and fun to talk to. One avenue to work on - is possibly a little more character depth in the city. I understood the importance of implicating a tight tyrannical rule, however, the citizens/guards/populace were bordering on the cliche. Don't get me wrong, this is one of best game I've ever been in, and it has been noted as such. Have a great week!

This campaign has been consistently good, but this session stood out as one of the best so far. Excellent use of NPCs and lots of roleplay. Great environment of intrigue with many mysteries to follow. The new mod is great in spite of a few minor script problems. Overall... outstanding! Thanks for pulling this together.

I wanted to congratulate two new DMs DCortez71 and Patrick W. Austin on some great NPC interaction. They did a great job in helping me convey information via adlib conversations that could have been scripted.

It is great be reassured once again that my character is in a campaign where the DMs aid and promote his growth. I can't wait till the next session.

02/21/04 8 8 9 10 9 9 9 6 9 9
A few problems with lag, but no fault of the DM's there. A great job playing the NPC's, especially considering two of the DM's are new to this campaign.

Got a little silly toward the end, but was run well and fit the characters involved

01/31/04 8 9 10 10 10 9 9 9 8 8
All I need to say is innovation. Credit has to be given to different ending. As one player said and I quote "Not every game needs to end with the big fight at the end"

It is sad to see the ending of the this part of the module but I can't wait till we get to see the next part.

LT

That was a great game. Things got a little goofy towards the end...but I really loved it. We were not in a hurry to advance the plot, so it was a lot of fun to talk more this time. I was laughing in the temple wondering if the spanking scenario was going to come up. I love that movie!

This was a really intriguing story and also very well run. Wheldrake is a great DM, and I would love to play in another of his games. Hopefully I can find the time to play in the next installment of this.

01/30/04 7 8 10 7 8 9 9 10 8 8
Great use of puzzle-solving and thinking outside of the engine, as it were. The DM also did a great job of keeping track of and responding to everyone even though he was the only DM. Well integrated use of skill checks.

01/30/04 8 7 8 8 10 8 9 10 5 9
It was a very very nice game :)) My first game online in Nwn . Superp game.

01/30/04 9 9 10 9 9 9 9 10 9 9
Wheldrake was an excellent DM. Managed the group well, was extremely polite, played the NPCs to lead the adventure on, but let thep layers figure things out on their own, without rushing them.

01/30/04 8 10 10 8 10 7 8 10 9 10
The game was run quite well, and I'm glad that my friend suggested it to me. Some of the players didn't really contribute much to the atmosphere, but overall, the game was awesome.

01/30/04 8 8 10 9 10 8 8 10 8 10
Great DM. Did a fantastic job of keeping the story going but not spoon feeding the adventurers. Interesting story and it seemed as if you could do anything within the world (not limited to the NWN engine). FUN!

01/30/04 9 8 9 9 9 8 8 8 9 9
Thanks for setting up a game this week, was a lot of fun. We just *paranoid look* need to keep a watch for those chickens.. :-)

01/28/04 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 8 10 9
I hate to beat you up over the server because it's not your fault. Many technical problems but I think you did as well as anyone could have keeping the game running. It didn't help that party kept separating. I'm glad to get loose plot ends tied up--thanks for setting this pu. Thanks also for giving the team the +2 mace of disruption... I was drooling over it so I tried to steer it to someone who didn't already have a magic weapon. :)

Excellent job, as always fellas. The lag must have been frusterating. You guys are always well organized and prepared - a top notch combination. Also, you keep us on our toes, and keep the pacing moving right along. Again, cheers. Can't wait for till next time!

Two sides of a coin: Stability issues (lower score), but you were forgiving when lag was bad (higher score for fairness). Fewer NPCs this time, but that accounted for more action. Every session needs a Nymph.

I was a little lost on the plot, but things are wrapping up on that island...and it's been difficult for me to keep track of the A & B accomplishments. No suggestions, though.

Great game again. Don't know how we keep surviving these dire encounters. Oh! ANd the tailored items and NPC encounters are appreciated. Hope we can see that Temple to Selune.

But a nice recover from a nasty crash, and a good, solidly entertaining game. Thank you!

There was an initial problem with the server not being up which was beyond your control. As solo DM with 5-6 players, you were superb in keeping up with what all of us were doing & keeping the game organized and moving. Previously I gave feedback that I'd like to see more custom treasure and you've started doing that--thanks. Combat was especially well done and challenging today. Even with the server issue I enjoyed this session greatly and it made my Top 5 Best list. Bravo!

Very VERY good considering it was only Wheldrake. Bit heavy on the people to question but have no info, and some people in the party don't seem to get that, so a subtle *couch* reel us in *couch* hint might help.

Wheldrake and Felrazor are not good they are great. They work with one another (pre, during and post game) and you can see it by the way they tell the story (i.e. module). When you play with them you cannot be disappointed.

The game was late due to a server problem that was out of the controll of the DM's. This sort of thing happens and is not really anyones fault.

I truly enjoy playing in Forgotten Heroes and think the DMs are doing a marvelous job. Thanks for all your hard work. We had some server glitches beyond anyone's control, causing the game to start late. I did not mark this because everyone was present, just waiting for the server.

I have one request, a minor thing but it would increase my enjoyment. I'd like to see more custom magic items in the treasure which would be of specific interest & usefulness to individual players. Example: a scimitar with bonuses against undead for a druid, armor or boots that increase stealth for a scout, etc. (Can I say that my own char would really like a magic longbow without giving away my identity?) As a PnP DM, I always liked to place a few items targeted for specific PCs to enjoy, rather than just accept bland random treasure tables.

Overall this was another outstanding game. The adventure was well-plotted and moved along nicely. Excellent work as always on NPC roleplay.

The only downside was the final combat. It ended up being a train wreck. Most of the fault lies with the players for attacking without being fully prepared. We were never able to rest so we went in at partial strength. However I think the creatures were too strong to start with. We had 2 new chars at 2nd level, and the other chars were only level 3-4. Multiple ogres with berzerkers accompanied by many goblin elite was a fight way out of our league--even if we were at our full strength they still would have slaughtered us. I felt the DMs encouraged us to go after the chief ogre and in that case the encounters should have been scaled down so we had a chance of success.

Despite the rough ending I had a really great time & I'm glad to be playing again after the long break. Many thanks to the DM team.

The DMs overall did a great job as usual, but this was not a fun session due to the players not working together well.

As a PNP DM, I always avoided "instant kill" traps where one false step would immediately kill a player with no way they could recover themselves. The basilisk ended up being an instant-kill trap for Sable (and I suggest that at level 3, we should not be encountering basilisks). Further, as a PNP DM when one player was in a situation like that, I'd find a way prod the players into fixing their comrade (even to the point of putting the fix in their hands and shoving them into position, if they were being particularly obtuse) because I feel that no player should be left sitting alone for most of an hour listening to others fumbling around if there is any way to prevent it. Not saying you handled the situation wrong, just that I'd have done it differently.

I think the Soul Keep B group is in serious danger of disintigrating. Not sure there's anything you can do about it, but we definitely seem to be in a downward spiral.

Good game tonight, though a bit rough. First session in the campagin, after all, and there were those horrible crashes (me especially).. Could have been better on that front.

The plot promises to be incredibly rich, it seems. got me all confused with how much is happening. Although I can't really tie everything together right now, I suspect I will be, later.

The group had some teething problems, but I suppose that's to be expected.

The server did crash, but this was not due to the DMs, this was not something the DMs could have prevented. The server was only down for about 30 seconds though.

I was going to give 9's for the most part so that the 10's stood out...but I'm not sure how certains things could have been better.

I took off 1 point on Challenge due to the wererats...but you scored points for fairness by raising those that fell. :D

It's too bad we had to spend our last half hour together cleaning up after the crash. We were on a good roll at the end.

Overall, I obviously *really* enjoyed the game!

For a starting adventure of a campaign this was alot of fun. Everything flowed fairly smoothly and the only real problem I saw was the addition of Wererats as part of the second and third encounters which were difficult to deal with. Outside of that this was a great time and I look forward to the next session.

Good game. I would suggest having less players. I find with more than 4 players it starts to get hard to follow everything that is going on, and more importantly in a one-shot game, it is hard to get to know the other characters.

What can I say, this was a great game. From fantastic role-play to expertly handled cambat this game had it all. I can not wait to play again with these people.

This was my first experience playing a DM'd adventure outside of a DM supervised encounter in a persistant world. I would have to say that I was plesantly surprised! The atmosphere was set up quite well by the DM team and all NPCs encountered were made to come alive at some point and add to the story. The DM's did and excellent job of encouraging the players to keep the story moving along.

I would have liked a little more "role play" from some of the encounters - perhaps one of the goblins would have been an important "clue giving" player in the storyline, for example. But it was overall a well run event.

Wheldrake and Quillmaster are a team to be reckoned with. It was one hell of a joyride with them encouraging the group constantly to stay in role by method of reward (though no punishment. I would very much like them to do some of THAT :))

They without fault managed to control and contain our chaotic and constantly splitting party. Very nice indeed.

You really tried your best and I felt like getting enough personal attention to my actions so no fault on your part there, but the party was just too big and it was all too chaotic. Leaving people behind, running around the module which made the plot less visible for me, people that came in late (which you brought back in to the game really great btw), extra showups, etc. I lost track of what we were doing. Sorry. You did a good job I think, but the party couldn't co-operate really well.

DM's did great job on clues & preety much everything else. Shame players did not obey at all times...

Game was getting H&S acpect towards end but due to players & their affinity for it altho DM's did their best to keep roleplay high & were giving good amount of XP for every roleplay move worth mentioning.

I would & I hope i will play more games hosted by two of them. Great job!
