As always, a top quality session. It's nice to see Morte back, with his "morbid" views on necromancy. The game design was also quite nice. Looking forward to the next session in 2 weeks time!

Nice to see you're back from your exams in one piece and haven't cracked ;) The new chapter post-tower is definately a nice break, and gives a chance to illuminate the damage the party has sustained. Very thoughtful of you to drop in a new player :) And that bug... the voices! the voices!

Top game that really played with our heads, literally. It was quite difficult to determine what happened with Roo and the shade, since Roo was acting so weird. And the dream sequence where Evani and Cale really could have hurt each other was a nice touch. Quite tempting to pick up that knife and stab the brutal "father" of Evani... which turned out to be Cale in the end... confused? Yup, I am too. But it all fell nicely into place. One of the best games I've ever played!

The late start was well worth the wait I have to say. The technical problems with your PC/server was forgivable given the fact that you presented a nicely disturbing and creepy session hehe. Delivered nicely and I just love the dwarven avatar, all dressed in pink and so fat and cute :D The atmos with the music and sound really add to the tension. Well done!

Obstacles doesn't seem to hamper any of your storytelling at all, even with the drop out of one member. You handled the situation quite nicely and now the party is down to its small size once more :) The dream sequence was especially nice, very descriptive. One problem though, and that's the "stoned" accident. I wonder how you will aid/hinder us in this little predicament?

Was a great if somewhat disturbing game. With poor old Levi quite literally left a physical wreck, Evani's continued descent into madness and now Roo's touch with fear and suffering, Cale seems to be the only member of the party relatively uneffected. Can he keep it together with the burdens of the party seemingly stuck on his shoulders? Or will he snap like a dried out twig ... only time will tell.
Thanks again for your assistance and patience with my connection problems - Loc

The session looked very promising, but I must apologise once again for its premature end. The game was well designed, especially the shelves full of skulls. I'd have to say you are becoming the DM manifestation of crazy voices, and the campaign itself is making for a more disturbing twist. Reading that tome of tortures doesn't help when you're feeling woozy in real life y'know ;) Thanks again for the game!

As always one of your strong points is building up tension, and we can start to feel it building again. I wonder if it will reach the near breaking point of the vampire nest? Cale was soo close to snapping there ;-) I liked the design of the mage's tower, it is rather eery. Enjoyed the game a lot - Loc

This session looked like it would turn out to be very promising and revealing. But alas, it wasn't meant to be. All those lovely firemen in your house must have been a massive distraction to your DMing, but the RP that was going on during the game was excellent stuff. Will we get to sneak a peek at that cutscene once you get it fixed? Till next time! :D

Was good to visit Gloomfaust again, though it certainly isn't a place I would to stay ;-) As a group of players, I don't think we are well suited to one shots, we RP a lot (more so if we have to intoduce new chars) and it can forever to get to the plot, not that an RP fest is a bad thing mind :-) Was a good game, the only thing I regret is that we didn't get a little further along, especially since you probably put a lot of effort into it - Loc

I wonder what Cale would have done if his hand had got lopped off? I guess he would have had to get some sort of hook, maybe a pirates outfit and possibly start spouting the phase 'shiver me timbers' at random intervals ... *shivers* doesn't bare thinking about. Lets just hope that Cale's luck continues to hold out. Talking of which, don't suppose I can interest you in these 'special' dice? ;-) Great game as always - Loc

Morte was an interesting character and although he truely believes necromancy can be justified he seemed unable to convince the party of this, though lets be honest we aren't the most unbiased of groups :-P I really felt Morte came to life and it made for an interesting session - Loc
[Elorin's reply to comment: Thanks.

Well i can't really say much about the gameplay as we were simply chatting in a bar, however the RP was great and the NPCs were really great each haveing a diffrent personality (specially the harlot), i loved the way you set up the shops, so much better then the simple NWN style click and buy. Hopefully i'll get to see more of the module and gameplay next session, and hopefully it'll be just as great.

Another pure RP game which became more interesting when the newest addition to the party came along. I have to say, the reference to Hamlet (which I credit to you since it was your idea :) was unexpected. And you played that harlot so convincingly it became scary. What a b!tch, but I loved every second of it. Love the obscene gesture from her tail, what an idea! Well done

Wow what a tragic character this Morte DiAngelo is. Obviously the fanatical cleric is going to lay into him a bit over his views on necromancy, but you played very well. I enjoyed the talk-around-the-tavern-table session which is a nice break away from the usual dungeon crawling. Thanks for that!

What a nice change from the dingy perilous tower. The planar shop had just about all the solutions to our problems, but way out of our budget. The smart orc was roleplayed very well though Cale felt a little dum when it started using words he didn't understand and even more so when the others did. Loved how he chatted Evani up ;-). Game was a close one, methinks the party was on the verge of dying a horrible death. Thanks for the game, was really fun to play. Mud Man was a bit weird though, but at least he's dead now *cheers* We've probably wiped out a race of experimental monsters. Never found out what those eggs do, perhaps next session :) Thanks again, well done!

I don't think I can wait a month till the next game, but I'll try. You slipped up a little with mis-tells, but who doesn't once in a while? Aside from those minor errors, you cooked up a nice little session. You've even tested the party to it's limits and have one member attack the other, you sadist! :D Lovely as always! Great game, though I sometimes wonder what runs through that sick mind of yours ;) Loved the hanging corpes and especially the hooks on chains for weapons (though I prefer it when I do the knocking down :P ). Next time remind me to dodge when a monster twice my size decides to practice his uppercut :)

A nice creepy, disturbing session. You haven't lost your touch as DM and this proves it. Swinging corpses, experiments gone wrong, bugs... you've been watching too many Clive Barker films I bet. But a nice touch to the ever twisted tower, I just hope we can get out of there alive. Oh and Happy New Year! :D

It was really a great session. Although without touching the plot of the main campaign and without any npc interaction it was an adventure full of tension and surprises. Im really looking forward to discover how the world outside that crypt actually looks like :)

Been looking forward to this session for a couple of weeks and it didn't disappoint in the slightest. Every room of the tower had a challenge, and we didn't run low on any fights. Lucky we have Cale and Stergan around, otherwise my cleric wouldn't be able to get a heal in hehe. Say, that when that cockatrice egg hatches... can I have one as a pet? :D Great game

What an excellent one-off setting. The morbid atmosphere in the basement and the taxidermist's place really stand out to the player, well at least to me. Loved your NPCs, especially the taxidermist, but there was no way I was gonna try and haggle with him hehe. Only qualm was the bloody server crashes, but that was out of your hands ;) Nice game, please organize more of these Gloomfaust settings.

Wow what a creepy session. The room upstairs is very scary, what's that skeleton doing in the middle of the room anyway? You managed to save us quickly from our eternal doom in the Styx, which was excellently thought out on the fly. I guess it's hard to determine how a party of 3 will fare in an ambush. Can't wait for tonight's little game extra... sometimes a server crash can be a blessing for those who need thier fix *winks*

This is probably one of the more "action packed" of the sessions, with a nice array of foes. My cleric was having a hard time with limited healing, and she still managed to die! Considering we were one player down, you had to expect that :) We'll never reach the tower through those nasty bogs, I'm sure you have more sinister plans right? hehe. Excellent design as well, you're really pushing toolset now. Well done!

Nice storytelling, and a real pub brawl as well. The appearance of the Red wolves had me crapping my pants, I really don't want the party to be caught again. You've really treated us tonight, thanks for the game Elorin! Hope more games are like this.

A great comeback, with a new intriguing plotline. The world is vivid, with so many events seeming to go on during the party's absence from civilization. Definately a top DM, but an excellent builder as well. The areas were cosy, and the next town-area has left me wondering what's going on in the world of Calire. Ain't the end of the world is it? ;) Keep up the good work!

What a brilliant start to something that could be truly great. It's not everyday you come across a campaign where the more sinister of characters become the protagonists. Saying that, the game design reeks an atmosphere that only skilled builders can achieve, and the story so far is creeping up to a level of anticipation. Gaxtor was my favourite character, even though Credne doesn't like him hehe. The new system of dice rolling is pretty cool too. Saves a lot of time for the player, and for you I guess. Well done! :)

You've really left a lot of plot strands hanging in the air with this final session to the chapter. It might not have as much impact to those who weren't there at the start, but if I remember correctly all the events that happened, I'm glad we uncovered some clues on what may happen to the party. I'm gonna miss Bob, he was one of the coolest NPCs I've encountered :) Lovely game

This "shopping session" was brilliantly played. It must have been difficult for you to play the twin smiths :D keeping track of the bartering must have been confusing... but it didn't show. You were seemless, fluid and excellent when it came to RPing your NPCs. Excellent game, lovely game design. Well Done

Elorin, created a fun game all around. The merchant we visited was nearly unintelligiable but fun to sit and try to figure out, you don't get the best deals in town without working for it. The sewers parts where well balanced, though as always kobolds have bigger bite than body. Overall a great game can't wait till next week.

What the heck was Jarnell saying? The dialogue incorporated within the NPC merchant was fantastic, and it took a long time to read and decipher what was actually being said. Those rats were nasty too *grabs her toe, jumping on one foot around the room*... excellent game as always Elorin :) Can't wait a month to play... again, but well worth the wait. Well done!

A brilliant entrance to Nudrak. Who would have expected it to be under siege from Undead? Dropped from a gauntlet of a crypt, to a warzone of a city, you're pushing the party to it's limits :) But not without help. The quirky Bob and his menacing pet seems more than happy to help the party. Bob was played brilliantly, and I enjoyed watching the RP going on here more than getting involved for some reason. Please let all games top this quality each time, it's a pleasure to play always! Well done!

Really wonderfull first session of a starting campaign. The organisation of the game was good. The story telling descriptions were very atmospheric and brought the 'game world' to a higher level. The NPC's were wonderfull as well and really came alive. 'Excellent' is the word here and I'm looking forward to the next session.

Elorin, is a great dm but as with any campaign, you have to start somewhere. Starting modules are always a little rocky and rarely the most fun. As always Elorin's NPC's where vibrant and unique making them a pleasure to interact with. We saw so little of the module, that I can only say from past expierence that the game design is top notch. Elorin use of little touches wether designing character specific armor for a unique character or slowing the pass of the game to get all the details into the chat window, is much appreciated.

Some of the best RPing I've ever seen you do, and he even managed to get the lovely Nuada to flirt provocatively with our "benefactor" Kergan *winks* A very enjoyable session with an excellent compilation of more than capapble players :) Well done!

Was a great game this week! Khelred came over as arrogant and self-confident but was compeltely believable. I can understand why you liked to play this guy as he was a formidable enemy with a great personality.
The thing I think you did best though was your control of the combat. It is my biggest pet hate of NWN that when it comes to combat is that due to the limited time you just fight the same guy until he falls over then move on. The fight with Khelred was different, his use of darkness to catch the party unaware at the beginning of the fight was good (typical that it is the first fight in a long time that I have used a sheild rather than a torch) and the way when Roo blasted him with magic missile that he switched target and went after poor Roo was much more like an intelligent opponent. Cale for the most part did almost no damage and spent most of the fight trying to keep the attention off Evani and Roo which was good (this is a feature of WOW that I like). To this end I even tried to annoy him before the fight but he just laughed me off :(
I'll end this rather long comment with my favourite moment of the session. For me its got to be knocking Khelred onto his butt ... he was just asking for it ;)

Wow, that was a great game. Too bad not all the players could make it because of nwc being down, but the members who showed up worked together brilliantly during the final battle against Kheldred-*wolf whistle*... who was played perfectly :D Too bad he died... Well Done old chap!
[Elorin's reply to comment: Indeed, Kheldred has let me know to be slightly annoyed with his current condition.]

I'd just like to point out how happy I am for this campaign to be back :)The DMing is always top notch, and to actually sit back an realise you're the builder and storywriter as well is pretty quite amazing. Despite the minor hiccup with the server, the first game back went a lot smoother than expected. Thanks for all the excellent work you've done.

Excellent mod, with top notch DMing, but it seems minor details are becoming the focus of the campaign, which I think you didn't intend. An original short and sweet session. I don't know if roleplay is the right description, but the cutscene idea is fantastic and adds a lot of depth to Evani's "visions". An amazing techinical feat as well as brilliant dialogue and camera angles.... more players gotta see it!

One of the best games so far I thought. Really enjoyed Kheldred's persona..and all the great organising of play throughout the session. Great game El, and thanks for the tips again!

The game is picking up pace, and we're treated to a series of obstacles and amazing and inventive traps. The vampire NPC was played with such callousness and arrogance towards the party; it was great :) It's quite remarkable what a single DM can do in a game, well done and excellent job.

Our first session, and already I have an ominous feeling about our group and the adventure. ^^ I quite liked the pnp feel to the entire session, although having the game pause every five minutes did seem to distract slightly. Needless, it's understandable as writing area descriptions takes time, and players tend to run off... right?
Some of the effects that happened really made me grin - rats leaping from the fungi patch, and especially the 'lump of dense orcness'. My cheeks burned from reading that description and grinning too much.
I didn't rate the plotline very high, as we've only just started. From what I've seen so far, it looks fun with the possibility of twists and turns, but I can't give an accurate score for it just as yet. I will most likely improve it over the course of the campaign. :)
Area design was fantastic - great going. And to end, i'm looking forwards to the next session. Kudos, Elorin.

Excellent idea with the ghoul-spider, and the fact that it is sentient! The parchment we found was disconcerting. The Mourn Bile Berry thing with Cale was also a nice mirror of what happened to Evani all those sessions ago. Everyone thinks she's going mad, guess it's only a matter of time before the party starts listening to her :) Nice game, and I seriously can't wait 3 weeks until the next!

The typical "clear the rats from the cellars" has become quite an intriguing plotline. The addition of the snake has made it more of a chase for revenge, and the refusal of pay for our work has the party cheesed off with doing extra work. I can see this plot working for a bunch of priests and paladins, but they'd be willing for little pay. Where's the fun in that? ;) Excellent game and can't wait till next.

This was a splendidly ran, and planed game. The game was not without its share of set backs, one player mixing due to schedule and another late due to nwn but even with these Elorin made this one of the most enjoyable games I've played on neverwinterconnections. The npc interactions where vibrant with each one taking a completely different tune. The plot of this one little quest has become so interesting it sucked me in and now all I'll think about for the next few days is who done it.

Game was great. Depite small misunderstanding at the beginning, the whole session went smoothly. The NPCs were great, Derrick the barman, the other barman in that poncy winebar and the soliders were excellently played. Wish I could punch that guard in the face though! Commoner? Me? I don't think so ;) Excellent game

This game had it all. Traps, firey bats... everything was great, but the over-cautiousness of the party kinda makes everything slower :) The odd fatality can't be that bad can it? Taking risks is what adventuring is all about, so I laughed when Evani ran the guantlet instead of Arlan. Perhaps the "fanatic" nature of the cleric was out of bounds, but the job got done where the rogue was hesitant. The allownace of these rare occassions make this game worth playing :)

Another great game, the campaign is picking up as we got our first job an interesting one at that. Good use of the enviroment and all our skills. Some of the skill checks used make the game that much greater. The descriptions he uses as we enter each area create the feel of a pnp game mixed with the ease of the neverwinter system. The server was unstable at times and I was lagging at times during the fights but overall it was a great game and not even the internet could keep it down.

As the second session of the campaign it was unfortunately short due to many factors but was very fun and vibrant while it went on. Several new areas in module where seen which all seemed polished and well designed. The pace was slow and leisurely not rushed at all and that suited me just fine. The NPC personality were unique from the surely bartender to the overworked clerk, they had their own personalities that where low key but believable. Only wish it could have been longer because a week is too long to wait for more.

A perfect game for a rogue character, each action must be thought out carefully, and I just love the extra effort you have to make to open a lock instead of using the basic Bioware-built vesion. Your NPC's were great too, you wouldn't think it was the same DM behind each one of them. Excellent game, I look forward to the next one.

This wasn't a very good game for any of us. Sh*t happens though, it's not always possible to have the best game everytime. A plot thread like the one we just played needs to be more organised I think, it can't really be done on the fly. Aside from that, please keep up the good work!
