Tarr is first and foremost a storyteller and is open to letting the characters alter the flow of events, even unexpectedly - he responds well. The story has great depth and has engendered impressive character depth and intense relationships. My only critique is not really a criticism, just an observation. Tarr is a perfectionist and wants everything just so. Admirable, but with an engine that is not perfect...sometimes all the details simply create more opportunity for things to go wrong (stability) and cause frustration and burnout. Keep the story foremost where it belongs, keep the rest simple(r).

Just excellent. That is the best description for this campaign. By playing it is easy to tell the energy and love that Tarr has for this campaign, and it is happily easy to get caught up in the energy.

The few techinical glitches that sometimes crop up are easily forgiven seeing what Tarr has done with the game engine. The plot moves smoothley ahead, and is engaging. The interest that Tarr shows in the characters backgrounds and developments is another positive aspect of the campaign.

Such a deeply mature and thoughtful game is a joy to play. Tarridus puts his all into the game and it shows. Kudo's, my friend. Can't wait for Chapter 3.

Excellent game as per usual Tarr. The story is very intriguing, and the NPCs are one of your strongest points as a DM. The module itself could have been a little more stable, but some of those issues were not within your control. I look forward to resolving loose story ends from chapter 2 on the boards- the amount of control you leave to your players is, as always, amazing.

Tarr's games are intricate and involved, as well as beautifully done. His NPCs are memorable. A lot of fun - enough that you really don't want each session to end. Of course, a great group of players helps that along as well.

I can only thank Tar for the awesome effort and organization he placed in the campaign, and hope to continue playing in this one or others. Kudos!

Tarridus runs an extremely fun and challenging game! The PnP feel of this campaign is what keeps an old-school'er like me coming back again and again. Thanks for such a great game!

The game was excellent. Things ran really smooth, and the encounters were incredibly challenging. Hooray for the tumble skill >.<

Week after week, Tarridus keeps me enthralled and deeply immersed in the game. Great NPCs, knowing how to keep a light rein on good players. Excellent job!

Delightful game, nicely paced, allowed the players to spend enough time to RP the necessary melding of new players with old players.

Very much enjoyed the game. As with Tear's, this game seems to have a deeply involved plot and provides an excellant opportunity for players to shine with their RPing skills. The setting is just outstanding, and the whole campaign is enjoyable because of it. Look forward to seeing it develope into full bloom.

Very well run game. The GM laid out the rules clearly, concisely, and briefly. He showed excellent ability to think on his feet, and hurry along the adventure to conclude on time without seeming rushed. Wait time for a response from an NPC or for one of our actions was very low. Only one prolonged pause in the game, and it was due to a technical issue beyond his control.

Negatives were few and minor, the only one that comes to mind is being slightly too pushy for the solving of a puzzle, but three of us absolutely had to leave when the game was originally scheduled to end, and we were running short on time, so this is understandable.

Excellent game overall. Running us through an entire adventure from start to finish with every action emoted verbosely in three hours, and not making it seem rushed or forced is an amazing accomplishment. Very well done.

A very succesful, fun game, i think we all had a great time. DM lead us among narration and action, gave us support for RP and good figths. I liked how we play in scenarios but still the style of DMing gave us enough space for imagination, which I think is the core of Roleplay. The unexpected unstability due to external little problems with internet connection(it happens sometimes ;) ) did not ruin the game, it still flew smoothly after solving the problem and it worthed waiting a few minutes to continue with the adventure. Good job, I cannot say but I look forward to playing with you again as DM.

Random thoughts and suggestions on the campaign will follow in the form of a PM.

I will say here that if you keep building on your city of the spider queen until you have about a months worth of game sessions prepared, as opposed to the week by week basis of this campaign, you could have a real winner.

11/05/05 8 9 9 8 9 8 9 8 9 9
I continue to be impressed by this game. The DMs are very skilled at making it seem real, rather than scripted. Things like throwing a portal in the middle of the woods, and then just letting us decide what to do with it, rather than encouraging us in one direction or the other. I was initially wary of the theme, involving gods and such as heavily as it does, now I just want to see what happens next.

Very nice job with this session. I was quite impressed with they layout of Candlekeep and how well the adventure flowed even with no combat to jazz things up. Look forward to continuing next week.

Very well run game. To set up a quickie interlude between to major sessions this fast was a big challenge, but met very well. A great hook for next week.

Bwahaha, you better believe that if you put a character as significant as Qilue infront of me, I'll challenge your interpretations of them with questions or dialogue, like inquiring the purpose of dancing naked.

Not that I'm saying using famous characters is bad, I just want y'all to use them for reasons other than just the celebrity appearance factor. Or at least be able to back their behavior up in ways that both educational and fitting of a legendary character. As in, I honestly don't know why Elistree dances naked, so you'd think that Qilue of all people could explain in depth. Even if you had Rule 0 it, and make stuff up on the fly that isn't canon, I hope in a quiet setting like that you'll be able to do something about inquiries in a characters field of expertise.

Other than that, the event at Baldur's gate MIGHT be interesting. So long as we come back to it, like some latent point that sneaks up on us again when it has faded from memory, and we least expect it. Such a latent area trick would do the campaign well - this assumes we'll either deal with Baldur's Gate, of the events pestering Baldur's Gate, or both, later.

If we don't, then there is no purpose to that Baldur's Gate moment at all.

And beware of wildly varying responses to situations that may spring up in a heartbeat. For instance, having a villain show up and admit he's an enemy, while the hero party is at an advantage, would have made SOME characters of the party initiate attack imediately while the odds were good, had the character in question been involved in the encounter outside...

Well looky there, don't yet have someone taking up my 5th favorite DM team. Guess I ought to fix that.

The story is starting off nicely. Bunch of godshards that need gathering. So its good, as a start. But not a whole- I'm anticipating some plot twisting, like I said.

Highlights include the interaction between the Slunum demi-avatar and some PCs, although thats partly due to the quality of the players.

There's not much I can say right now, because everything has worked out thus far. I suppose the usual advice is good: anticipate players jumping in directions you had not anticipated.

Great game! The module was well run, and an interesting lead into the campaign. Wish we had more time to have RP'd the introduction, but alas, it was not to be.

A solid RP game for the first session. It set the seen for the module very well, and it was clearly enjoyed by all involved. Looking forward to the next installment...

An excellant game. A few hiccups in the beginning, but that is to be expected in a new campaign. Made for a great setting for us to get to know each other a bit better though. Looks like this is going to be a fun group, and a great campaign start.

Tarridus has done an amazing job thus far. Although this was only our first session, and it took us a few moments to get started (which, of course, is always expected), the flow of the game was excellent. No bugs, that I could find.

Furthermore, Tarridus' ability to control all the NPC's and add more life to the story, has shown great promise. I look forward to playing in his DM'd games again.

03/27/05 9 10 10 9 9 9 9 10 9 9
Although this was only our first session, it was evident from the beginning that Tarridus put a lot of time into preparation. Things ran very smoothly, he dealt with situations fairly, and he kept the NPC's actively involved with the characters. This DM worked hard to keep things flowing and interesting, staying involved instead of sitting back and watching. Innovative, intriguing, and fun, this was a great start to the campaign!

This was the first campaign I have ever played with other people and it was very cool.I think it has inspired me to play more games on Neverwinter Nights.

02/21/05 10 9 9 10 10 10 10 10 9 10
The first game I've seen to use the ship decks hak - most of them (including my own sea-faring modules) use the city interior, inn, etc. tileset.

This hakpack truly added to the immersion. Only suggestion would be to cut down on the number of placeable chairs in some interiors - they won't all be filled and they do cause some systems to slow.

This game was for a group of new players to NWN. The DM's were great and had a lot of patience. If you are looking for someone to help you learn the game I highly recommend them. Based on this game if your a seasoned player I believe they can run a great game or campaign.

This was a great game. It was obvious that the DM's knew what they were doing. They kept the game going smoothly, and the DM's jumping from NPC to NPC so quickly in the Inn was fantastic.

Welcome Back Tarridus! You guys did a great job (again). The game is becoming more and more challanging for Quakers character. He set out to deliver a message to a Captian. He has since been swept away and hasn't found much justification is remaining with the party other than the fact that the other characters need him. In character i have mentioned that Quaker is coinserned about the monistary and if Joshera would want him to continue with the party. After seeing 6 companions fall (Allein Manasi, Kaethera Brightwood, Erina Yerrothy, Trentas Heartwarder, Tuane, and now Mirby) He is begining to wonder and question his purpose.

Great job guys

GAME DESIGN = 11.5!! This is the best designed mod I have ever seen, hands down. Burne's tower was truly impressive (guards on the walls!), the rolling hills are much better than Bioware defaults, and the tunnels were very cool, too (although a little hard to manuever in, especially because the camera gets all wacky and I can't see my char sometimes). I can tell a lot of work went into this mod, -- it really shows.

DM team worked seamlessly together. Nice job, guys!

Lili had to go the battle singlehandedly and we were none the worse the wear for it. I suppose I could rant on about how impressed I am with my protege, about how far she has come as a DM, blah blah, but then I remember she's the one teaching me things every week! I'm the protege! :) Nice job! PC

With Tarridus sick, I expected the game to be a little less vibrant than our last session. Amazingly you pulled off a great round. Sorry if I messed up your little shutting door but you should have made the lock DC higher (considering I was a thief). I loved the Inn Keeper and I don't understand how almost 90 % of my rolls were under 5! I hope I can stay the extra five minutes. Signing Off.

Truly enjoyed the session. Many thanks for giving me the opportunity to participate. You both did a stunning job with the NPC's. You both bounced in and out of the NPC's so quickly that they appeared to have life. I also like the starting area, very unique...& when you sit on the DM mat and blow up...well I have learned my lesson..hehe. There were a few problems with the server (I have never been in a game were there is not some problem with the server) but you both remained calm, solved the problem & eased us into game play. Thanks again...truly looking forward to next week.

For the First Session with all the Roleplaying and no NPCs I had a great time. Although we did have some troubles at the start it does occasionally happen. You switched from NPC's with practiced ease and you played them extremly well bringing out their personalities like I've never seen before. Hope I can make the whole sesssion next time.

The NPC's alone could have made for hours upon hours of play. The DM's were everywhere. I almost want to stay in town to see what other characters are about.

Bravo guys! it was amazing!

There was a few glitches to start, but they were straightened out very quickly. I love what was done with one of my custom items.

I only wish that I could rate the NPC interaction higher. Both DMs did an absolutely fantasic job with them.
