I thought this was a fun little module and you had put some neat designs such as with the statues and the magic mouth (!). I thought, however, that many of the rooms seemed largely empty or maybe you were trying to portray grandness of scale in the temple. I especially liked your little map points with long descriptions. It was quite nice as a reference.

Although the module was little more than a fetch quest, it was perfect for those of us that couldn't take part in long games. Good on you.

The game had some server problems which was really beyond anyone's control. I definitely would play this module again either from the beginning or from where we left off. The DMing was fantastic!

I thought the CEP was put to good use. Good atmosphere. There were times when combat wasn't fair or over used. I thought Barovia itself should have been more populated. Also Madame Eva was sort of downplayed. If that even makes sense. Its tough because its an AD&D staple, and the story is somewhat stereotypical.

An extremely well laid out module, and masterfully DM'd. The atmosphere intensely creepy, I found myself checking my 6 more often that I usually do.
Character development of key characters was also impressive. The text was fast and full of flavor, and each character had believable traits and personality.
I would adventure with this DM anytime.

This was my first time to play in a DMed game of NWN and it was a total blast! Danebo and his DM Crew did a fantastic job and I didn't realize exactly how much fun NWN could be when you get away from the single player game. I'm glad my first experience was with a fantastic DM crew and a wonderful bunch of players. Thank you.

It is a grand service you and people like the Neverwinter University provide for this community by helping us green DMs learn to use the tools of our trade. The only thing I would've liked more would've been like a virtual DM/GM Academy, but designed a touch elaborately. That would be awesome! Like a PW, with sign up applications similar to ALFA or NWC. Those that aspire to great storytellers could be given the opportunity to instruct their own classes regularly or once and a while stop in as a guest speaker or lecturer. The potential is astonishing!

Well. Four great games followed by one not so well.... 1 in 4, I don't think that is such a horrible thing.
I think you did another great job building the module. It is unfortunate that it did not meet your expectations.
I did give a lower than usual score in objectivity. That is because it appeared to me as though a couple monsters were out to get Lady Aribell in particular. Am I wrong? I hope that I am. I also gave a less than average score in overall category, but that is mostly due to my performance and lack of party teamwork. Once again, great job! Keep it up. Anything that went awry was not your fault. :)

First, I want to start by saying that my comments are directed mainly toward Danebo. He was the coordinator and the author of the module. We had little direct interation with the other two DMs. Second, I have to state that I was not part of this campaign from the start. I applied and was accepted on the assumption that I would play in this session only, so my comments are for just this session.
I think that the module was very well put together. There were good puzzles to solve, good balanced battles, neat scripted events, unique looking contraptions and nasty evil things. Danebo definately has a knack for module building. I wish I could have seen some of the other sessions, as some players said that they were better. The DM's style during the session was strict from the beginning. Commands like "get in line", and "I'm going to stop this game if you all do not regroup" are what is needed by a DM sometimes to keep order. Danebo is a good leader and shoud be praised for keeping the order at the beginning.
At a certain point in the game, however, it seemed that the DM lost interest in the players. There was not as much DM interaction (I kept typing "looks at wall") and never got any responses. Also, he kept accidentally typing into the [shout] channel things that the players were not supposed to see (like "I can't believe they missed that", or "he walked right over that trigger", or "you guys missed six things in the last area") I was getting the feeling that Danebo wanted the players to experience some things in the module, but we were not doing it the way he wanted. It is unfortunate that the DM chose to give negative reviews to all players across the board. There was some really good role-playing going on, but the DM did not acknowledge any of it in the game or in the follow-up reviews.
Overall I thought the game was fun, and enjoyable. But the DM seemed to have a different agenda. He seemed not to be interested in the players experience, other than showing off certain module features. Sorry it turned out as it did.
[Danebo's reply to comment: First of all I would compliment this person on their observation skills. I did lose interest in the game. That I let it show is a failing on my part. When games fall apart as badly as this one did, it is disheartening. And quite frankly, had I had it my way I would have shut it down after 2 hours. However that would have been unfair to the players.
As to wanting to show off the module, damn right I do that. I spend up to 2 hours a day building and testing it. Why would I not want to gu]

A fine job! Despite the one flub. By the way I figured out the problem I had finding the right character save. I have found the save I should have had i game and brought hin current. Just need to train a little to bring him where he should now be. So I still have the water and earth swords. :)

Great game! This takes first in my top five. Woohoo! This is what I got this game for. I'm not sure wether the DM is a bit of a perfectionist or simply modest. The adventure may have been hurriedly thrown together but I thought it was well executed.

Was a blast. DMs used a stock module, but spiced it up quite a bit with some DM intervention and took it in some new directions.
Had some good NPC interactions that were fairly complex. The story kept me guessing.
They DM'd with a very light hand. You didn't really know what was DM intervention and what was a normal part of the module. It was very immersive.

Some harsh areas, like dropping tough monsters on us a little to often but if we stand around in an unsecure place we deserve it although it still seamed excesive. Great relief leting the cleric raise people with healing spells even when they died all to often. Most of the deaths we our fault but some were a little to harsh in my humble opinion. The game had a cool feal to it like the old pnp.
[Danebo's reply to comment: Hints on overcoming harsh monsters:
1) Don't fight them in the center of the room. Doing so will allow you to be attacked by as many as six.
2) Treat all doors as if there are monsters behind them. Be ready with a battle plan in case there are a lot of monsters behind that door
3) Retreat if you have to so you can plan a different strategy
4) Retreat when you have less than half you hit points left. By the time you drink that potion of healing you could end up dead.

It was a well done effort by all three DMs.. especially considering the party must have had them running everywhere to keep up with our questioning of various NPCs

Well, things got really chaotic, but it was still fun, and that's what matters. We started understaffed and underequipped, so some of our difficulties made sense.
One problem, though, is that many of the characters seem to not quite be all there. I don't know if the multiple DM's are just getting their wires crossed or if the characters are supposed to be a little thick. It's not really a big deal, but we have a few problems with interaction.
[Danebo's reply to comment: If an NPC seems to not be responding right the reason is usually one of the following:
1) The DM may not know the background of the story and his relying on the other DMs to provide the information through the DM channel.
2) The DM may be caught off guard by a question posed to the NPC by a player.
3) The NPC may just not have the answer the player is looking for. Many times the information needed to advance the plot is given in the first few minutes but players sometimes are intent on ]

I enjoyed this game and look forward to the next. There were lots of neat effects that let you know what was going on, like ground shaking or far-away voices. A few times conversation seemed to drag a little, like in the church, but overall they kept a really good job of keeping up with us, and I never really thought about someone being behind the curtain, just acted naturally.

Wow, ok this was a great game. Pimarch: way to go, did a great job with the Npc, and that little blunder with the scream turned out to be a boon in my book. Dortmunder: Way to go, you did a great job Danebo: I must say this is fun. This is why you hold the top spot so far for me.
Can't wait till next session.

The DMs brought life to the NPCs. Most of the NPCs including merchants have to be possessed by the DMs to talk to them. Is this by design or is the module a work-in-progress? The combat challenge is varied. The early encounters were too easy for the group, but the later ones were challenging.
[Danebo's reply to comment: It is by design. In PNP games, expecially with out guild, there is no scripted dialoque, as the idea is to emulate real life games.]

Once again DM's were very polite and helpful. The module is a very well made and run even thought the server was very buggy that night and there was some considerable lag throughout the game (not the DM's fault) Hopefully it will be better next session.

The only negative thing I can say is that I think too many people were invited for the server. Previously we'd had 3 DMs and 5 players and things had been fine, but this time we had 4 DMs and 7 players (I think) and lag was a factor. Otherwise, I had fun. I think the DMs are improving and look forward to the future!

I was shocked after last time being so darn good. I'd limit the players, too many this time 'round. With 4 DM's I really expected a bit more too. Server was very laggy and too many players chatting made it hard for many to pay attention. Probably hard for you all as well. Thus missed RP opportunities and frustrated players.
I also thought the story/plot was very hard to follow. I still have a very vague idea of what actually happened. What our goal was. What the point was. Etc. Some cool stuff we seemed to flee from where I was hoping the story would grab us.
More actual chatter initially from the DM's about story, giving players time to rp and meet each other, etc. Felt very rushed both times I played.
I know you guys strive to improve and I'm eagerly awaiting your future sessions. An asset to NWC. I also think you guys do a great job of NPC interaction. Give the players some time to develop and rp... if you get bored and want to throw something else at 'em - Wait! =) Then... get 'em! LOL
[Danebo's reply to comment: We regret that you found this session not to your likeing. Perhaps future sessions will be more within your preferences. If the game was not going in the direction you preferred, you should not feel you are duty bound to play the whole session. Next time you feel this way, just excuse yourself from the game. We understand that not every game can be to your liking. :) There is nothing wrong with saying " I am not really enjoying tonights game! I will see you next time". In fact it is better]

The DM team was very organised and very professional. I did rate the game as more hack & slash, but I don't blame that on the DMs... it seems that we accidentally killed some NPCs. Ooops!

This was an excellent session,The Dm was a very gracious host and handled all the NPC's very well and the party (all 3 of us) worked very well together considering this was the first time that we had played together. The leader of the party did have some problems with getting ahead of the group on several occasions but after some friendly incouragement by the rest of us he finally did slow down the pace and stuck with the rest of us. Thank you Danebo for a wonderful experience and keep up the great work!!
