It's easy to tell your campaign has been going a while. Seemless NPC interaction, nudges to help the plot along, but still leaving pleny of room for player control. Lots of fun. Even if the guards were stone-hearted *a tear slides down her cheek*

Great job on the 'little girl' subplot. I don't know how you managed to get the battle with the Balrog to be a standoff but that was a perfect outcome. Virtuoso-level control of the DM client when you opened the portal and had the Balrog exit.

Bravo!

I have to say one of the most enjoyable sessions yet. My only regret was that time went so fast, the game seem liked it had barely started when it was over.

Great mix of fights, plot advancement, and NPC interaction.

I thought that was a really good session by you last time (which is why so many 10s). Great balance of action and dialogue, interesting npcs. Treasure seems to be coming along, although $ treasure still seems low to nonexistent (we seem to only get $ by selling surplus items , which is odd, don't people have $ here for monsters to hoard? heh. Keep up the good work

Very fun night as usual. I am particularly enjoying our friends from the East.

I was a bit frustrated by the dungeon. It seemed quite the meat grinder. Perhaps there were clues that we misssed on how to avoid damage. Also, after all this time I think it would be appropriate to have a (another?) PC death, so DM intervention was not strictly required after the steel minions battle/debacle. Then again, the way that was handled was very smooth.

Nice module, and nice work running it. A few glitches on factioning etc. Also, the puzzles seem sometimes to be only solvable after they have stung you sometimes ("a posteriori/after experience" rather than "a priori/ with intellect only" as we philosophers might say. Maybe I am just dumb (you would not be the first to say so! ;) ) The lazybones module this replaces is also puzzle oriented but they seemed to be more of the "a priori" variety (you could think your way around them entirely- although they were a bit obvious I grant you). Good stuff though. The mushroom room and the mirror room were top drawer module making in my opinion

05/26/05 9 9 10 10 9 8 9 10 9 9
Nice module, still needs tweaking but a nice puzzling module. I like the way the traps and puzzles required teamwork in many cases to solve or circumvent. This was an excellent game.

Spiffy game design and scripting! Even though I am not a fan of puzzle dungeons (especially when the only player-to-player communications is by clunky text messages) yours has some well crafted challenges backed by great rewards. It also helps that the RP reason for the puzzles is very solid. Great work!

Organizing: You generally nail this but the new server tripped you up this week. Still you recovered nicely.

Challenge: I'm of two minds -- putting monsters in that can't be beat encourages creativity but it's a pain if the creativity doesn't appear...

Overall: The campaign rocks and I'm glad I'm in it.

Hard to judge NPC this session as we only met one. The play flowed smoothly and the players were allowed time to roleplay not just rush or be pushed from one encounter to another.

I completely enjoyed the experience and must add this has been the best DMed game I have played through NeverwinterConnections, of course it is the only game I have played. :) Enjoyed the creative traps. My poor dwarf will be sore for a month. Can't wait to play with this DM again.

Surviving the Great Comcast Burp of '05, the game chugged on to a very fun conclusion. As always, well done Festivus for running the show and patching bugs. Your NPCs are unique and individual, especially liked the sphinx, and the sessions invariably enjoyable.

Superb!

Good session. DM does a good job. I am somewhat new to DMed multi player so not a lot to compare to. Combats handled fairly and a balanced challenge, NPCs are well handled. My small complaint is probably more aimed at the mod than the DM, and is something I have found in other lower level mods: the treasure is not commensurate with the endeavor. For example, if we have 3 or 4 fights, and combined as a group use up 6 or 8 cure light wound potions (which cost 25 gp each or whatever) the players should have a feeling of getting ahead rather than not even making enough to rebuy the potions used to fight the monsters! This is especially true when resting is so expensive (I don't mind buying a ration to rest each time but those resting kits are too expensive compared to what we are earning in the mod). As I said probably the mod is to blame here (also, maybe treasure doesn't scale to a larger group?). And furthermore, the last half of the session we seemed to get some more stuff. So, this (very minor) complaint has probably been solved already Otherwise, I am enjoying it thoroughly and it really shows I have been missing out by playing mostly single player mods. Neverwinter really comees alive in multiplayer, especially with a good DM as we have here.

Fantastic job Festivus! The CEP changeover was smooth, and as much as you like to hype up the bugs you handle them extremely well! It was nice to do a bit of hack-n-slash, get over the level 1 hump, and start getting some decent equipment.

With CEP on board I look forward to some customized weapons and armor, not that it makes the game but it is a nice addition to the atmosphere.

Fantastic job organizing this kickoff. Players were all on time, and HABD worked flawlessly. Plot was not revolutionary (rat hunting) but it was appropriate to a group of 1st level poverty-stricken n00bs with delusions of grandeur.

We had ONE disruptive player which I will not hold against the DM.

A great start and I can't wait until next week!!

Some of the categories are not really applicable since we played a scripted module from the Vault. However, Festivus did a great job of breathing life into it! Well done!

On the challenge: Somehow, we got ourselves into a bit more difficult situation than we could really cope with at our level. I don't know how much was our weak characters, poor tactics (I've seen worse!), or misleading information by the module designer. Fest did a good job of helping us survive though.

The Game was abit slow to start but what can you expect on saint patty's day. Once the ball got rolling the fun started. It was slow to begin and we didn't get far into the module but it was fun for what it was and a look forward to playing through the remainder of this module with the dm and party.

I really enjoyed this game. The DM did have his hand in balancing the game, but that just went as it should have.

Gameplay is good. The module felt nonlinear and you had the freedom to do whatever you want. The author also uses excellent language in the dialog, and there are very few typos. All classes can find something valuable in this module. The challenge is about right, and there is loot for everyone. I particularly enjoyed the fights. If a little tough near the end for our small group. A cleric and rogue should be almost essential. Great time with this one...LION

The DM was excellant nearly all the problems could be atttributed entirely to poor module design and errors, and a player who was unwilling to follow the RP oriented nature of play.

My first Neverwinterconnections.com game. PNP Roleplaying, was quite enjoyable! Ran into a few bugs, but were minor and were fixed on-the-spot.

Hey, you did a good job despite some unruly and immature players. Enjoyed NPC characterization. I'd look forward to playing with you again.

Wonderful, engaging DM. Really takes NPCs to a new level with his ability to breath new life into the usual bunch.

This was very fun and well done and the DM's were excellant. Understanding minor player errors and interface problems.

Excellent work!

Very well managed game. You were on top of helping everyone and getting new players in and jumped around to catch the group. You handle the fights well not letting them get over powering when we were short but keeping them tough when we had everyone. Big kudos and keep up the great work.

I would play any campaign this DM was in. RP was encouraged, i even had a hard time RPing enough. Well done indeed.

Great game! You gave us a lot of room to roleplay stuff out - it was good fun to work with things like sounds from upstairs, startign a fire, and such. It was a little strange to run into that goblin chief who killed us all with ease, would've been cool if we got to talk with him beforehand or something. Especially enjoyed your vibrant possession of Ned Shakeshaft! Haha, he was great.

Good use of NPC's, especially the lizardmen with their ssssspessscial voisscesssss. :)

I thought that the mod was a little short - there were still a few more areas to be explored, but the DM did a great job of letting the party make their own course. He didn't lead us by the nose, and even allowed for snippy characters to mouth off at the local mayor. :))

An outstanding game from Festivus, once again!

Your DMing skills and the personality variety were what made this test actually fun. Quite a bit of adjusting to do, if there might be parties as small as ours going through this module again. Also, despite our group's good humor about it, you should get rid of the little halfling named Dildo. Or at least change his name. Others might find it a bit offensive, and you don't want to have to continuously explain that you didn't name him.

Even if you have the monsters redone, should come up with some method of reviving for the party. Maybe one in their group can start with a rod of resurrection with only two charges tops, so that the party only has two chances to revive fallen members.

This was a pretty average module. Not too many twists or turns. I also felt that the challenge was a little hard to get right. The encounters we faced seemed to be either too easy or too hard, with little in between. The NPCs as usual were top rate. Good job and thanks!

Nice game, although I admit this was my first DM'd game of NWN, so I don't have much of a yardstick. I had a good time, and I can only assume that if we'd played at a more reasonable hour we would all have been a bit sharper . Still, it was a good experience!

There was a late start, but it was -not- the DM's fault (late players), so I won't include it in the rating. Otherwise, I enjoyed myself.

Comparing it to my experience with DM's other work, I thought it was an average module. Dungeon delving (going from room to room) can be quite tedious in PnP, let alone NWN, so I thought the game was missing some variety as in DM's previous games (traps, ambushes, puzzles, tough monsters). I thought game was too linear. Add to that that front line fighter seemed to take almost all monsters out by himself, it seemed there was no sense of danger in game. I never saw him wounded more than half hp in whole game. Kills tension and suspense. I still would like to continue series if DM can fix this last issue and the technical difficulties.

Great conclusion to the second module in the series. Still struggled with some module glitches, but the DM was able to compensate. It would certainly make the DMs job easier if we had a consistant party.
