I've held off to review for a few sessions to get more of a feel for the campaign and its characters and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed by BBP and Venture's efforts. The best compliment I can give is that this campaign seems 'alive' in a sense and its only just begun. Great Job -Tarridus

Very eventful and exciting game this evening. One of the largest and longest battles I recall us having, and we were down our main upfront fighter!! Figures I was one of the only ones to go down and need healing!! lol Great game.

Today's session was great. The NPC's were so alive and the twists with incorporationg new people, it's all so fun. Now that sword was amazing. It's going to be great fun seeing how Frewin rp's that. Another good game. Again, the effort put into this module really shone. I loved the magic mouths, and whoever RP'd Jenna did a fantastic job. Well, all the NPCs were good, but that one stuck out in my mind.

This was one of my first games on a MP game, and my first with these DM's and I loved it. The NPC's were unique and done well, a good balance of suspense and action, and it really pulled you in. I completely lost track of time and was sad to see it end. I can't wait for the next game!! :)

This campaign's greatest attribute is the acting ability, and great coordination, of the DMs. The characters are fantastically believable and vivid. The world scenery of particular places obviously took some time and care to prepare. I'm not so sure about the plot, which thus far seems rather generic, albeit fully fleshed out with ever-present history. Then again, I have been spoiled by chancier stories recently, and the campaign is not yet finished.
Highly recomended.

Absolutely wonderful session, the best so far! Excellent integration of characters into the game, storyline, NPCs, and especially organizing gameplay. Very few DMs go to the trouble that you do to created the organized forum and recount the session summaries plus all the other relevant information and lore for the campaign as you do. I think more DMs should follow in your example when running campaigns. (I know I will) Since I've now officially played four games with you as the DM, I'm happy to put you on my top 5! I am sure that this campaign will be one of the best I've played!

It's only been our second session, and I can already tell that this campaign is going to be a blast for everyone!
We have the workings of a great adventuring group, and once our characters get comforatable with each other, I am sure that we will prove to be an overwhelming force for the Light, or darkness, or the lukewarm grey, or whichever side we choose to defend.
The only reason I have not yet marked this campaign off as one of my top 5 best is that I have a 4 session rule before choosing best DMs. But that means 2 more session and it's in.

I have a sincere appreciation for the work that you have put into this, as I nearly spent a whole summer building a custom campaign of my own. Nervertheless, it is nice to be on the player end finally and I am glad that the ship is comandeered by two very capable DM's. The pace is perfect..while a rp nut myself, I was actually hoping we'd get a chance to mix it up and we did.

My connection was hiccuping during this session, but it was a great game nonetheless. The pacing, the atmosphere, and the NPCs were excellent, and just what I am looking for in a campaign. Also, the game design and envorinment pay meticulous attention to detail, awesome work in module building, to say the least!
I have a lot of praise that I can heap upon this game right now, but then, what I'm I going to say in the comments section for the DM/module next week??
I think this campaign is more than promising, and I can't wait until it gets fully underway!

A wonderful DM team - these two seem to work very well together, taking the players through their story.. and best of all, took the time to discuss the game later with them to take in all comments and ideas for future sessions. I felt that the Dms were a little too easy on us though.. the group seemed to be far too hack and slashy to be allowed to win the game (our fault, it steamed rolled into a blood bath, what can I say!). One comment Id make is that they should for this game allow a 'session failure' scenario to occur - players are often unhappy to fail in their games but I think it would make them work harder at being 'shadows in the night' rather than blood thirsty maniacs :) This module has so much potential and I know these guys will keep on perfecting it.. two thumbs up and heartily recommended.

Top 5 DM list for sure! NPCs were very interesting and well played. Pace of the game was smooth and some of the best developed background I have seen (maps, characters, etc). Loved the use of die bags to achieve certain goals that allowed players to think out of the NWN engine. My only regret its a one shot and not an ongoing campaign. -bugbig

Venture and Bluepaw did a great job. You can tell they are real pros at this. Despite the game being an outside the engine, Rogue adventure, they still made it all happen smoothly and realistically without a hitch. Can't wait to get into another one of their games/campaigns.

The group split up which I know wasn't easy for the dms. A suggestion I have is if the group splits up, make it tough for those who decided to wander on their own. If they die well the others can always find their bodies to bring them back to the temple.

I loved the maze at the end, either by luck or by just amazing building the very last place we explored was the exit. Interesting way of having Siss leave the group, though it'll be hard for Bedeo to make a character that lives up to Siss. ;) Oh and the fact that you let Bedeo make up the ending for his character just goes even further to show how relaxed, laid back, and fun the two of you are as DMs. Too bad I can't vote for Top 5 twice.

The only problem had was that the plot didn't makr that much sense...It might not have beeen your fault but the mods...Overall I would recommend these DMs and DM team to any hardcore rpger and hack and slasher b/c they provide a good balacne of both.Oh and one thing 400 hundred gold pieces i thought it would be 2000 each! *Fumes*

As far as the gameplay went, I was pleased, I havn't had a solid D&D session like this since my last Pen and Paper campaign, and for a one-nighter adventure it went rather smoothly, having 3 DMs was an awesome experience as well, it really helped the NPC flow out a *lot*, the story was a bit choppy sometimes, but still, considering this was my first time ever playing in a game like this (and my first time ever playing on this community as well) I can honestly say I'm impressed.
Good Game all around, slight issues here and there, and I really dug that Hemopheliacs mod as well.

It was an interesting game. The story arc was a little choppy, and would have benefitted from more clues about the nature of what was really going on once we were in the thick of things, either through revelation IC by the observations of the Wizard or Cleric in the group, or by direct description. Object clues (notes, books, etc. . ) would have been nice as well.
The unbeatable zombies were an interesting addition. One or two impossible encounters are always nice.
XP was a little low. I am not sure if this is because of relative CR of the creatures we fought, or lack of non-combat awards that were designed to be included but weren't.
[Bigbluepaw's reply to comment: Sorry you really didn't enjoy the game. This was advertised and was a one-shot game. In the future, you will begin to realize that it is nigh impossible to have in-depth character development or plot development in three hours. Good luck in the future in finding games more to your liking.]

Good team of DMs who were patient with a bunch of new players. Depsite a few technical and other glitches, the team led us through, using a good combination of subtle coaxing and the tools of the Dm to keep things interesting.

You can tell that the dms worked hard on creating a interesting battle scene. Not just your normal hack and slack. You had riddles, switches that needed to be hit, and mirror doubles that attack you. Good job with building that tower.

A lot more hack'n'slash this game, but it was actually quite a nice change from the past few sessions! Looking forward to next Wednesday with eagerness, like always. Just hope those twins did their job by the time we leave the assassin hideout. :)

A great module built by Lazybones, expertly run by this impressive team of DMs. The setting was excellent, effects add to the drama. Action was well paced and NPC interaction was well handled, with a collection of vibrant characters. Hope to return to game with any of these DMs, especially if it is on another Lazybones mod.

Great game! Well-played introduction, involving several NPCs at once, thanks o the tag-team DMing going on. The other NPCs were done well, too. I particularly liked little girl. I don't want to say anything else about that for fear of spoiling it for someone else.
A better selection of equipment from the start would have been nice... particularly a few magic items, considering the challenges we faced. (Also, some crafting supplies/dyes.)
Overall, the adventure had a nice bleak mood going. Not too oppressive, but definitely creepy. The DMs allowed for time to role-play, rather than trying to push us through a huge module in a short period of time. I personally appreciated that, a lot - I think the whole group did. It was obvious that the DMs were enjoying role-playing/story-telling as much as we players enjoyed fleshing out our characters.
A great time was had by all, I believe. I definitely look forward to playing with any of these DMs again, together or separately.

Great game, gentlemen. While you didn't design this mod yourselves, you did do an excellent job running it.
The NPC's were great, especially the drunkard in the pub. I think you could have allowed for a bit more RP with the 'friendly ghost'. It would be a great opportunity to enrich the game and really bring out the story.
The treasure was well placed and balanced well.
I only had one frustration, access to more magical weapons... for obvious reasons.
Other than that minor little annoyance, I had a blast and would love to play in one of your games again.

Thanks for the game. It was enjoyable and creative. Great job with interacting with us and allowing us to act *outside the game* (burying our dead). Look forward to more of your stuff. Suggestions I would make: Maybe add some traps for rogues. Beef up the Evil Cleric with a group this size. Add a few more VFX at dramatic moments (Darkness was a great example)
Good job for the first timer!

You know some dms are sometimes scared to give really difficult opponents to fight. But luckily these dms test you to your limit in fights. I might complain sometimes about it, but I prefer too much difficulty over too little.

Very fun game tonight. Good amount of action and intrigue. So much going on though, lots of things to try and keep track of. DMs are spinning a good bit of mystery and intrigue into the plot. Excellent job.

Great session like always. I love how the NPCs always have their own motives, though Garth remains quite a mystery. My big gripe is that each session only lasts two hours! :P
Perhaps different rewards would be nice, like weapons or armor from the black helm stash instead of getting money for everything? Not sure how well that would work with our big group, though.

This was one of those games which I'm always looking for. Mostly NPC interaction which I like. The NPCs had unique personalities from creepy smuggler to arrogant Audrey. And the hill giants we fought had the right difficulty. Could kill us if we were not careful, but could be defeated by working together. Hope the rest are like this.

Pros- Complicated mysteries and nothing seems obvious. Also dm did great by himself. I couldn't have been easy considering we didn't stay together all the time. Cons- The gangsters were a bit too difficult I think. I mean I like a challenge, but I want a slight chance of winning.:)

Another great session. Venture delivered a great adventure running as solo DM for a party seven adventures. Who like to go in different directions a lot of the time, ha,ha. Did an amazing job by himself with such a large party to watch over.

Great NPC interaction from damsels in distress to cocky councilmen. We definitely need to work on our tactics. Once we get more experienced with battles as a group, I think maybe the dms should be less merciful in giving us a break. If we end up defeated, we end up defeated and have our dead bodies left on the road.

This game had the perfect balance of roleplaying and fighting. Probably the most enjoyable part was how the gold got stolen by the halfling and we ended up attacked by the gang because of it. Never saw it coming.

All I can say is wow. You guys rocked. For being a new player, I had no idea how it would go, but I was amazed when you almost seemed to have planned how you would fit my character into the story. Your roleplaying was great, and helped bring out some of the best parts of my character. Looking back on the game, I realize how many curveballs I threw at you guys, showing the chaotic nature of my character to the extreme, but you guy's reacted like pros! I look forward to next wednesday. :)

The structure of the model was well built. The ambushes caught us by surprise and more than once I thought we were in trouble. Also a great plot line to play by.

Was a reallygood game, we didnt notice the glitches that you were having problems with just the major ones. watch the spelling when being an npc it will be more beleivable as a real character if you do. experience was fair, a bit too many treasure on the monsters when they died i thought. overall i really enjoyed and would love to be invited for another game!

Great game tonight. I've only just entered into the campaign and am finding my feet and place amidst the others who are long time players. They made me feel very welcome there, and I can't wait to play with everyone again. All the characters had distinct personalities and habits and I got a great sense of them during the game tonight. Venture and BBP thanks so much for helping me out at the beginning of the game and letting me participate tonight. The game ran smoothly and with no lag and the NPC's came to life. I felt like I was really there. Just awesome.

You guys did an excellent job, even though I felt that the emphasis was more on the dungeon crawl than on the RP, so I rated you all a bit more towards hack and slash on the slider, but in all I loved the NPC work and think you run a fun game. Thanks for the game! :)

This was a very good game and I don't really know if you are to blame for the rushed feel or we are. We did rush ahead alot but I think there might have been times when you could have slowed us down by adding more NPC interaction. Us trying to debt w/ the goblins would have been nice if it had gone on longer. Also maybe cut down on the number of healer kits. I thought as the only healer I might run out but there was no chance. I ended up with 20 more than I started with. Other than that this was a very good game. I had alot of fun playing it. Thanks for putting it on.
