Excellent session from Scaly and the DM crew. All RP this time, which gave us a good chance to develop our characters better, and get a sense of the personality of others. However, a small bit of combat might have been nice. From the looks of things, there might be some to come in future installments. Nice design on the abyssal plane we visited.

[scalyface's reply to comment: Again, 6 for challenge in an RP event is a little odd. If your looking for a fight..er well wrong event..]

NPCs needed more depth. Seemed too shallow. More effects in the background. Good job though!

[scalyface's reply to comment: 3 for stability is completely unfair...The server crashed AFTER the event was over?? With a 10 for treasure when there wasn't any...and a 5 for challenge in an RP event??? If you want a fight, don't join Rp events... ]

Great game today. Good amount of RP with some of the charcters and the NPC's with the DM's. The combat and design was a little bit weak with most combats being way too easy, and the final one almost a total party kill. However, part of this is the party's fault for not using any combat tactics, just basically running through the dungeon. Hopefully that will improve as the campaign goes on.

I loved the atmosphere of the underdark and next time on to the planes! I'm looking forward to future sessions.

[scalyface's reply to comment: The challenge of the critters was right for your levels, but some pc's had overpowered weapons for their levels which made it very difficult to guage encounters. I will check in future what PC's are packing, as weapons that do 2d6 vs evil plus fire damage shouldn't be in the hands of level 8 pc's. Others, indeed commented on it. Treasure you will never find abundant in campaigns as it is ongoing. ]

Fenixphire and Scalyface make a very good DM Duo it appears that they plan thier toryline well when integrating party chat with NPC chat. They certainly cover he basis and keep us guessing whats going to happen next. This particular session was 100% roleplay and no combat, at least not until the concluding execution at the end of the murder trial. I felt as if I played a role in a movie, and I'll do it again!

Really nice game, especially for a one-man DM team. The event got into the real spirit of Drow society, and provided ample opportunities for players to excel in roleplay.

I really look forward to the next session!

Great game Scaly and Fenix. You did exactly what you set out to do, which was introduce new players to the TUP mod in an interesting way. I especially liked the time you gave us to RP at some moments, and it rarely felt boring.

One thing though. I really think the hostage plot has been overused a bit, I'd loved it even more if there was a better twist to it.

Cheers!

[scalyface's reply to comment: This wasn't a hostage plot, it was to add credibility to the disappearances from the enclave. Originally, it was going to be a slaughter house with no survivors...but where would tha party have gone from there???]

I think this was a great low lvl adventure. There was a lot of good RP, and I enjoyed just making my cha interact with the others. The DM's did a great job, players also the newcommers played well. The only not so good thing was the leave of two fighters before the end of game.

Very good introductory session to TUP, made me want to come back for more. Seamless play with experienced DMs in a solid world, overall a very enjoyable experience, even though I usually hate worlds who force you to eat (there is a limit to realism). I'm impressed by the way you managed such a large party.

I'll be on the lookout for more adventures in TUP, and more adventures with Scalyface and Fenixphire.

[scalyface's reply to comment: thank you for the kind words, they are always appreciated.]

First I got sick during the game and had to drop ouit for a bit and I thank the GMs for letting me rejoin the game later. Once again I think the treasure was wack just not enough for what the party went though. The most trouble in the game seems to stem from the players themselves as they caqn't for some reason come together as a team. If the GMs could somehow help this all would be great save for the loot.

[scalyface's reply to comment: I disagree entirely, mature role players know what to do and generally don't need/and or don't want Dm intervention. Too much in-party chat and not enough organisation. You dropped out and missed half the event and then complain of lack of treasure, please, get your priorities right. Newt time there won't be a second chance.]

TuP has been having server difficulties lately. The basic plotline seems to come from the Baldur's Gate Computer game (the Iron Throne wants to take over the world). But it's nice and pretty good to be able to use higher level PCs in an event. Even though treasure and such like is avalable for PCs in TuP (especially at the higher levels), its nice to reward the Player's/PC's with item's/XP close to their level (or party level) at the end of the event. A round of appaulse for fhenixfire for her first event!!!

[scalyface's reply to comment: Correct, this campaign takes place after the events in Baldur's Gate. Why, because BG got me back into rping after a 15 year haitus and I felt like paying a tribute to it. The treasure was correct for the levels, but I was dissatisfied with the way the party handled themselves, which was poor, thus I held back some of it.]

Game was late to start but only because the server crashed. I feel that the amount of treasure was lacking for the number of encounters.

But for the above the game was great and I do like both DMs and will play in their games again if allowed

[scalyface's reply to comment: Treasure is also earned by playing on the server, it's a PW, and no, if you turn up at the last minute with an unprepared pc, you will not be allowed to play again. Read up on how a PW works before playing.]

a brief problem at the beginning of the game caused the server to crash, but as the event had not quite started yet, really, that was okay. Unfortunately for the Main DM, the crash destroyed all of his hard work at setting up encounters and other DM type stuff.

[scalyface's reply to comment: Yes it did, but your review is pretty unforgiving , thanks for that...not.]

It was a good game. It was only a shame the players couldn't get it together, with some of them charging off ahead of the rest. Maybe next time you could drop a few extra simple plot devices in to slow the party leaders down a bit. It was a good effort with some disorganised players. I would happily recommend this DM

[scalyface's reply to comment: Please read the reply on the site. I feel the party had enough information with which to work with. Teamwork was practically non existant and the chatting during the explaination of the plot led to the party being confused and disjointed, which can't really be tagged to the Dm's. The treasure was there but taken by one of the pc's.]

I enjoyed myself overall, I think it was a bit hard at the moment, can some say Bodaks :P

[scalyface's reply to comment: It wasn't hard, the party stayed fragmented throughout and thus paid the price. Added to that, one of the pc's stole all the treasure. But then again, he was the only one looking for it.]

Game was good and fast=paced, but was probably meant for more adventurers then who showed up and should have been scaled down fot that reason. Overall though the 2 DMs did a smashup job!!! And I enjoyed the game greatly . . . though perhaps the XP was kinda light . . . and the other PCs were mostly out for themselves. Grabbing the loot w/o sharing or anything.

[scalyface's reply to comment: I have to agree that there was little teamwork involved, which consequently made the encounters seem more difficult,(there wasn't that many). Unfortunately, one player dropped out due to modem trouble which upset the balance a little. I suspect the lack of a practiced mage also compounded the problem as protection spells were few and far between.]

The game being late was not the dm's fault it was the late coming people, so that is not against the dms. Also, the bad treasure score is also not against the dms. I never saw one piece of the treasure because two other players took it all before anyone else even got there. The guys were all way too tough for my fighter who was level 11. I normally don't have trouble in melee, but whenever i faced anyone i got owned. I had to change my fighting style from melee to ranged to compensate. The plot was a little hard to follow, but only because i had not partcipated in the first event. Other than that it was an excellent event. DMs were very pleasurable to play under, and I would do so again.

[scalyface's reply to comment: Just a point. The challenges faced by your pc were geared to all characters participating in combat to their best efforts. The two MU's in the party hardly used their magic at all during combat. This was their choice, not the Dm's. The Asabi are tough, but when the MU's did use their powers, they went down quite quickly.Read up on your CR's and EL's before rating......Scaly.]

Great job scaly, i know how hard it is to get everything to fit in the time frame you start out with. But I really think you're getting the hang of this.

Looking forward to the next event!

[scalyface's reply to comment: I should have made the plot clearer but being only the prelude, it was meant to keep the players guessing and off balance, which I believe succeeded. There are a million questions and a million answers to be found.]
