A great trio of DMs! The NPCs were FULL of personality ... or something ;)

Quick to jump in when needed and easy to talk to!

My word, my word, my word... This session only re-affirmed my belief in GW and Purple's complete and utter awesomeness as DMs. Of course, the amazing group of players is always a plus, but the skill you two display in crafting those memorable moments is just incredible. What I loved most was the echoes of situations from the Star Wars films in-game; like approaching the droid facility (reminiscent of the Imperial Shuttle infiltration in Return of the Jedi). Just, simply, awesome.

Wow, oh wow, oh wow - what can I say? This game just gets better and better. Great non-player characters, great dialogue, great action (though there were one or two places where NPCs did seem a little tough perhaps). Most of all, at least from my position, the DMs try their hardest to give a great interactive game to all the players, and I certainly experienced one of the best series of events I ever have done in an NWN game today. I simply cannot find the words to express the praise I'd like to give you; and I'm not boot-licking, you two just really are the tops. Can't wait until next time.

Great new concept for DM'ing games. D20 Modern is possibly the start of a new wave. It may have a few bugs in the system; but, so does any game system when it starts. The storytelling is phenominal.

Great work with the NPC's. Really adds a lot to the experience when they have distinct personalities. Other small details like changes in music to suit the mood is what sets apart a great DM team like yourselves from the good ones. Looking forward to the week after next. Enjoy your easter break! Interesting story and setting. Nice variety of NPC interaction.

This was a brilliantly executed session today. The DMs did a great job of handling the often-split party. I must give my thanks to the DM(s) dealing with my semi-solo antics sneaking about inside the garage; I had an absolute blast with that. My only quibble was that I (and I think one or two others echoed this) found I had a very low chance of hitting anything, despite my character being a fairly combat-oriented one with the appropriate feats etc. I think perhaps just a slightly overpowered AC on the enemies? Regardless, a marvelous game. You guys are the tops!

03/05/07 9 9 10 10 10 10 9 10 10 9
Good first session of a new campaign. Custom content looks great and added to the Star Wars atmosphere. The interiors did seem a little dark and could do with more lighting or giving the PC's some torches. The NPC's were interesting and well played. I was a little thrown after the first skirmish as it took a while to discover what had happened. But all in all great stuff. Cheers

This was a most enjoyable first session, and all around, a great introduction to the campaign. The NPCs I saw were excellently played with a lot of colour. I was a little uncertain as to balancing issues, particularly between the factions - characters starting with the republic do seem more powerful, but that arguably does make sense. Looking forward to what the campaign's future holds.

A very interesting scenario thought it ended a bit abruptly - story worked out shorter than I expected. I think this was due in part to we jail birds all working together more or less.

Fun session overall. However, it was a bit frustrating that my weaponry was useless vs a couple of the major opponents. One was avoidable - fortunately, but the other was the main boss:(

Good session. DM’s managed to keep the game flowing and on its storyline despite an unruly party. Cheers

I thoroughly enjoyed this session. At the beginning, it was a little disorganized, but I can totally relate to it since this is the first session and all... I'm sure as soon as you two get into the rhythm, we'll be seeing even greater stuff! :)

01/19/07 8 8 9 9 9 10 10 10 9 9
I was going to say that it was a pure roleplaying game but remembered that we did fight at some point. It was so smooth that i barely noticed the fight.

It'd been one of the best campaigns I've played in. It's sad we eventually lost so many players, but that's okay. The DMs were tough enough to stick through it, and we won. Still, the ending was somewhat anticlimactic... but I guess that left us time to say our good byes to each other and the NPCs. OVerall, I loved the campaign, and can't wait for the next.

01/12/07 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Absolutely a fantastic campaign. I really grew attacked to all of the characters and felt my own character grew in ways I never imagined through the guidance of the DMs. It was challenging and yet easy because they constantly had things running smoothly. They were able to follow the weirdness of my character without batting an eyelash! Splendid team, absolutely Brilliant!

12/16/06 9 8 9 8 10 9 9 9 9 9
One of the things I love about this campaign is that, althought combat isn't too common, the combat (a few per a session at most) is difficult just to be challenging, and really well decided for the power of the party. I also love how the use of social skills (persuade, bluff, intimidate) are worth the effort.

12/08/06 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Always an excellent session with opportunities to roleplay and fight as well.

12/03/06 8 9 9 8 9 8 9 8 9 8
Most of the session is spent with just the characters standing around and talking, which is really one of the things I like most, and why I look forward to this game every week.

11/17/06 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
One of the finest DM teams ever! The NPCs come alive and the plot is always taking turns when you least expect it! They challenge us but don't overwhelm us.

11/05/06 9 9 8 8 10 10 8 9 9 9
A bit more action this session, but it was well balanced with the roleplay. The golems may have been a little much, though, as we were down two players, and two of our attending players rely on sneak attacks to deal damage. None the less, y'all are do an EXCELLENT job as dungeon masters, and are easily one of my favorite DM or DM-teams I've ever had the pleasure to play with.

11/04/06 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
This team is absolutely the best! Always a great session with great care taken for believeable NPCs with plenty of opportunity for roleplaying a character development.

10/29/06 8 9 9 8 9 8 10 9 9 9
PP and Zackal are just fun. There wasn't any combat this session (not that it mattered, the pure roleplay was fun enough), but the DMs still had quite a job on their hand, with party splitting up to multitask every 30 or so minutes. I think at one point we had two sneaking around the prison, two talking to the receptionist at the Mages Guild, and the last hiding his friend in the temple. Not only that, they controlled a doppelganger of our missing player. I have no idea HOW they pulled off three or four different things, but it just goes to show how talented and wonderful a team these two make.

All 10's this week!!! The DM's really had a flow going, seemed tighter script-wise and event-wise. Lots of roleplay this session and the DM's were there to move the plot along. I loved the colorful descriptions that were projected regarding the conditions of the town and the long journey it took to get there, a little something to convey the tone and atmosphere of the setting. Best game yet.

Best, Kandelai

As always, exciting and unexpected things happen in the sessions... Purple and Zackal are masters at creation and fine-tuning the session so that all are participating and working hard at doing the best that they can. I have never seen such great roleplaying by ALL the players and the DMs. It is truly one of the best campaigns I have ever taken part in!

09/23/06 9 9 8 9 9 8 9 9 9 9
The game was very well done, as usual. The DMs did a great job of keeping the game moving, despite that the party was seperated half the game. Most of the session this week, though, was dealing with the character tensions.

Beautifully orchestrated session! This game had a faster pace which is nice at times. The plot continues to thicken. The NPC's are woven into the story with depth, poor Nara. I am really enjoying myself and that is the true mark of a good DM and storyteller.

One small suggestion which is technical in nature would be to darken the rooms more, pointing to the monastery where evil now dwells. The atmosphere is important and nothing like putting the party on edge with a little darkness as they make their way about a building full of undead, perfect game otherwise.

Best, Kandelai

Purple and Zackal work so smoothly as a team. The plot is engrossing and they really take the time to get to know the characters. Everything is ready when we are and the NPCs are great! The skirmishes are just enough to make your blood pound but not enough to frustrate you. Great job!

Great job!!! Loved the atmosphere of the game. Climbing to the top of the eleven tree with the music playing was a scene right out of LOTR. I love a DM who can balance RP with good game design. The NPC acting was amazing and never missed a beat. Besides the glitch with the zombies, it was perfect. Hope to see more of this. Best, Kandelai

There's not much I can say except I loved it. The pure RP was just delicious, and the one sudden combat at the end made a perfect little ending to the session.

07/22/06 9 10 10 9 10 10 10 10 9 10
This session had both story advancement and time for us to roleplay--a nice mix of both. The gnomes had wonderful personalities, and I particularly enjoyed that Lyle got to experience what Carabell complained about immediately afterward--accidental? Or very creative? Either way, it was a hoot. Keep up the good work.

Purple really focuses on the long haul in this game: people and incidents from our past return to haunt us, we find clues and books that don't have a clear bearing (but that hint they will be useful much later in the story), and even hints of politics between the various groups we see. I really like the speed at which this story is unfolding itself--we're busy every session, but behind it is a slow, graceful development of something bigger.

It was a really, really, REALLY fun game, though it might just be personal bias, though I don't really care. At times, I was just way too happy to even really think properly.

07/01/06 8 8 10 8 9 10 10 7 8 9
Quite a fun game with interesting developments. It was a bit slow, but of course I don't blame you for anything.

07/01/06 9 9 10 8 10 10 10 10 10 9
This game has it all: unusual premise, creative story, inventive ways to progress. The only think I can see that's missing is consequences for character behavior: I would fully have expected the drow to punish some of us by now. It might have the benefit of giving the characters some real urgency and a sense of the danger they're in.

06/17/06 10 9 10 9 10 10 8 10 10 9
Purple has been doing a great job of providing us with opportunities for helping ourselves--invaluable, since we can't initiate much for ourselves, being trapped in prison. She has even been managing to provide fighting opportunities, something I hadn't thought would be easy. An unusual story situation, nicely handled.

A great beginning to the campaign. Good things:

- The NPCs often interacted with each other, not just with us, which made the world feel real. - The DMs responded promptly and creatively to requests for "out-of-engine" actions. - In spite of the apparent hopelessness of being trapped, they gave us several opportunities to help ourselves.

06/09/06 8 7 10 10 10 10 10 9 9 9
Very nice work, nothing bad at all. Bellna was a good touch. The only thing that's even remotely close to worrying me is how far we are from escaping, but that really is partly my fault, and it's not a problem, anyway.

10/08/05 8 10 10 10 10 10 3 8 9 10
Although I was not in any fights, I saw lots of dead and wounded. This was because I pulled that twist on you guys by insisting on staying in the cell, despite everyone trying to convince me to go proving every reason there was and more. They finally had to take me by force. I wondered if you were prepared if the crew left me and Jordan. :) I was prepared for any consequences.

I very much enjoyed the scenes with Cy and the Commandant (I thought the Commandant was actually going to pushed into killing Cy); Endaren and the guard (Jedi mind-tricks :) ; Jayne's constant hurled insults at us while we were locked in the cells and Jayne putting a gun to Jinny's head when she said she wouldn't put on the vacc suit unless someone put a gun to her head (Jayne and Cy complied).

The running scene out of the prison to the shuttle reminded me of the video

Look.. this DM combination just rocks. It's as simple as that. If you want a fun game, then this is the crew, anchored by Forrestwolf and Left-Handed Bob Thundergut, you simply cannot find a better DM crew than this crew. Period.

09/30/05 10 8 10 10 8 10 9 10 9 9
The plot seemed pretty solid over all - its sad that it was not handled well for the ship-side portion of the group. I am certain that should those on Serenity get more attention sooner in the story that it would be more enjoyable for all.

Currently, for those that stayed with Serenity it was mostly RP among themselves for 3/4ths of the time the away team searched for the cargo. True, River did get some 'visions' of what was occuring with the other group, but nothing able to paint obvious pictures in the minds of the ship-resident crew.

The last 1/4th of action was cut short by the demands of the other half of the group, so that as soon as the ship-side members stepped out and began to involve themselves in the plot, the away team shouted them down and forced them back onto the ship without any explanation, making it feel (inadvertantly I understand) as though even the rest of the players were against having the other crew involved in the action.

The game seemed well designed. The GM's were quick to respond to any requested character actions and kept the game moving. The scenario had a couple of GM admitted timing problems but I enjoyed the evening. Thanks!

I think I saw the game from a unique perspective given the character (as expected) and many improvements were done since the weekly campaigns for this one-shot game in terms of scenary inside the ship, so I can only imagine what the outside worlds looked like. The new layout was phenominally better and I look forward to seeing it eventually incorporated into the weekly campaign. The scrounging you did to find an entire cast of 9 excellent crew members that were extremely true to the original cast of the show, led one to believe we've been playing this for years, instead of just one night with nearly all strangers to each other. The work done to recruit players from everywhere was amazing. The vividness of the psionic readings and premonitions etc went far beyond just point and click simple mechanics and totally went to a major reason why River Tam was nearly insane from them... yet highly informative if only an observant enough listener to her ramblings was present... which was nearly the case in some instances... perfectly roleplayed again by players and NPC's. The story seemed to piece together through her visions well enough that I understood the synopsis at the end of the session, which I enjoyed, since I then got to share the big picture along with everyone else.

As this was my first scheduled game, it seemed to go well. I look forward in interacting more with this DM.

This was really, really fun. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and it kept me worrying about getting my people killed.

OMFG I love you guys. You guys rock my socks! This was a great game and I only hope my own Firefly campaign will do just as well.

Just... awesome.. totally awesome. This is one of those things you truly have to be a part of to describe it. The DM's work as a well oiled machine, smooth without hiccups (at least that are noticable anyway). Game moves along, and the RP is... well.. if there's a word better than awesome, it would be that word. This DM tandem is.... good. J/K.. gihugically awesome!
