It's a hard one to rate for two reasons. First, because it's a Lazybones Team Challenge, and second...because, well, it was Lazybones' that made it. lol There were certainly some interesting additions though. I particularly liked the explosive kegs. ;) And the creeping coins were just...well, creepy! I apologize fully for my ooc knowledge, but that's two LTC I've played in a row and it's stuck to the point I don't even think about it. Looking forward to another try sometime, without the knowledge and with a more team-oriented character. :) - Alexander Frost

Ah, finally played a Team Challenge. I'm not a hack-and-slash fan, but it was still fun. Hard to judge the DMing though...you WERE evil enough to possess the Master of the Pyramid. And that counts for SOMETHING. ;) Like the short-lived crossroads, you're still doing a great job.

This was a great campaign, that came to a very grand finale indeed. Special thanks to Shinji for help with the flower searching, and thanks to Aas for exellent DM'ing and design. Had a blast. Looking forward to the next episode. -Aragorn

I don't know what the reason was but everyone seemed little disoriented yesterday. But still Aas and Shinji took the trophy home. There were some tech-problems as I noticed the many connection problems and the crash during the game. I'm little sad that the game didn't have a "proper" ending but you can't always win..I'm looking forward the next game where you guys are DMing! -Tom

Difficult to enjoy the game because of illness, but it was a good end to a good module, with 2 very good DM's. You need to work on the challenge level a little when giving us on the fly encounters, (dire bear!) otherwise not a lot to complain about. Perhaps one day we'll continue as a group in GG2. -Valad-

Another very good session. I was little unsure why we started back at the library as we had already passed the portal in the last session. Capturing Pugh was a very nice cliche. And you were right about Lake Sembia, it was definetely worth a visit. But what were the bears about? Pugh was locked away and Carais afk. Small wonder we survived them. The marsh looks really cool. Overall one of the best campaign games I've played! -Tom

Aas and Shinji bends over backwards to make their game world as convincing and flexible as possible. This session left the game speed entirely up to the party, yet the flow seemed incredibly natural. Whenever there was an NPC, they had already possessed it and gotten into it's character. The prison detour was a great way of getting us back to the city and explore more. Very well done in all aspects.

Having the torch boy somewhat took the feel out of the game. Messed up the faction with the dog. It was funny though. However, I loved all the RP elements in the game.

The NPCs were wonderful, as usual. I love the bickering between guards, barkeep and servers, and the comments running between the lord and guardsmen. They add much to the depth of the game. It did feel like the party was being rushed a bit...we were still trying to get to know each other, and things were pretty chaotic. We didn't really get a chance to explore Sembia further before we were hustling through that portal, and I would have liked a bit more time to roleplay in there. It was a short session, however, and I know DMs wanted us to get SOMEWHERE before the end of it!

As was discussed, not much of a story. Not any story, actually, and that's a huge part of what NW Connections rates. The challenges weren't bad...so long as you did things intelligently, and not charged into everything head-first. That's how challenges should be: impossible if done stupidly, mildly challenging if you think before-hand.
Overall, great DMing, but not-so-great mod.

The game was fun and deployed an intelligent use of NPCs which was entertaining. I am new to this campaign, and it was a bit disorientating trying to figure out where we were going, that kind of thing. But this added to the overall sense of having set out on a crazy mission into the arms of the wilderness where we'd all but fall to damnation for our folly, but for what? ...clinging on to the vague hope that we might find somebody's cow? May the Gods have mercy on our souls! ~Cheers~

Good game. Not quite as good a some of the pnp games I've had, but fun. The DMing was competent, though not amazing. Character RP was a bit sketchy. With a lot of players I can see it being really tough, to RP properly. Again, it wasn't a bad start really. I think it'll get better as we go along.

I was really impressed with the part of the game sessions 'away from the engine' action. One minor suggestion - it should be possibel for characters not directly invovled in combat to interact with objects (the kegs in this session).

This is a great Campaign, and the DM's are doing their job in an excellent way. I'm really sorry that I kinda missed a lot of the game due to all my connection problems. This is not your fault, but my (insert proper swearing sentence here) modem. Hope to get on a broadband soon so I can enjoy the game properly...

Shinji did a good job of running someone else's module, good use of NPCs.

Great Job, one of the best sessions I've ever had. Mediocre NPC's being about the only noticable flaw. Objectivity score is a lower than others because my character was killed (and received harsh xp and gp hit) due to the fireball cast by an inkeepers cow? But overall it was an excellent session run by an excellent DM

Weel, I'm quite happy of this session. Almost a pure RP session, really enjoyed it. Also, you did a great work with Npc! - Adamanth

Once again another very good game by Aas and Shinji. Some constructive critisism: I'd like to see more use of placeables such as rocks, shrubs or the large amount of indoor placeables that could have gone in the castle. It's too late for GG1 I know, but perhaps add (if you haven't already) them to GG2. Your maps are well designed but the overall look could improve vastly with a liberal (yet careful) placement of the many items available in the toolset. One other main gripe I had with today's session was the ease of combat- it was just too easy. It was good that we went the majority of the 3 hours with no combat, but when we finally found some it was a cakewalk. After the first few encounters it was obvious we were strolling though, so perhaps you could have laid out a more dangerous encounter with them. If it soon became obvious the party were out of thier depth that's when the difficulty slider comes into action, which can prevent needless deaths. I still loved the game but there's always room for improvement with every DM/Module/Player - you can't please everyone 100% :) Valad.

Another great game. I particularly love the distinct feels of the NPCs, and how they interact with the different members of the party - like each one is a fully realized and well role-played character in his or her own right. Well done, and thanks!

Enjoyable, but some problems that I think should have been handled with better (or maybe just faster) DM communication.
Did a good job of organizing the group and getting the game started on time with a minimum of fuss. Server is regularly stable.
Would be nice to have a clearer direction in the game, but its still only the second session, and half of that is the player's fault.
The game looks like it will have an engaging plot, but so far feels disconnected.
Monster spawning is hit and miss. Some ambushes are well thought out and organized, while others feel arbitrary or unfair.
Things are looking up instead of down, and hopefully further sessions will continue to improve on the good and resolve the bad.

The guys did a very good job. Although, next time maybe you should try and host a game with not so many players. Imho it would help you get the group more closely knitted and would surely promote the RP.

Another superbly DM'd game by Aas and Shinji. Some great roleplaying involved and I especially liked the insulted ranger after my orc said he was ugly ;) My only gripe is the length of game, but I understand your reasons for cutting the length to two hours. May this campaign continue and hopefully improve even more. Valad.

Good effort and making sure that the fact it was a computer game didn't limit roleplaying.

Well I enjoyed this game very much, god roleplaying, good world, imaginative plot construction.
Couple of things I would like to see in the future.
a) More XP given out for roleplaying b) More NPC's possessed rather than scripted c) SLightly longer gaming session, maybe 4 hours rather than 3

I wasn't going to review because of the major packetloss on my end, and the lag coming from the server end, but I'm going to try to overlook all of that for this review. Npc's were well played by Aas and Shinji and added much to the game. From what I've seen so far, the maps are well designed and Aas places many sounds in the build stage (something this reviewer cannot do without when building). It's difficult to comment on the plot too much because with my packetloss situation I missed a lot of dialogue, but I'm not going to score you low just because of the lag which was no one's fault really. Hopefully the server situation can be fixed for next time and I'm looking forward to seeing more of Gruenal's Gambit, as well as our Crossroads campaign. Valad

I really enjoyed getting into this world. Our first adventure was interesting and got us involved and working as a team. It also gave us a good chance to roleplay character reactions. Thanks and well done.

Very good DMing by both Aas and Shinji. The whole game was fun, the npc's were well roleplayed and I liked the style. Considering this is a campaign I think each session will get better and better, hence the scores are only very good instead of great/awesome (I want to be able to score higher when things get better!) Oh and you're the first DM's I've thought good enough to be in my top 5! Thanks guys. Valad
