Through no fault of you own, I keep getting a certain silver sword. I am starting to think it is fate(plus I really like all the magic in that sword). Anyway, I hope to up my magic sword to something that can actually hit the grand ghost in the tombs. Fun game, thanks for being patient with the server and letting us stubborn people play on it.

Some technical problems delayed the start of the game awhile but once it got going it was great fun as usual.

Nice use of CC thru out the mod, though occasionally a bit of lag due to number of active NPCs and placeables.

Adapted difficulty to the smaller than anticipated party fairly well.

A few too many traps thrown in we had no real rogue in the group.

I blew it big time. Sorry for the no show, no note. My wife changed all my plans for Mothers day, then backed out of them all. Grrrrr. I wound up laying down to take a nap and sleeping 'til the game was over, only to find out I could have played. We were supposed to have company come at 2pm, she was supposed to wake me up. I woke on my own, wondering what was going on. All I can say is sorry. I should be good to go next weekend.

Another great game from Thorn. Luruar is truly a wondrous place.

Great session today. I wasn't aware of what was downstairs behind that door and it moved me...pure mystery and excitement with a mix of horror...

The fact that the team split up gave the DM some headaches this week.

I always enjoy playing in Thorn's games. His plots are always finely crafted and his sessions are always full of excitement.

once again Jeb Thorn has shown why hes my favourite DM with yet another fun filled adventure.

Thorn put on a most enjoyable subplot session for the easter weekend. I believe that all the players had fun and it was nice having Thorn along as one of the team for a change. Thanks Thorn. Great game.

The DM did a good job. Real multitasking both running the game , npc;s and providing a character to the group that looks to be a hook to the story and valuable muscle for the game played.

A little bit of a delay due to tech glitch.

DM ran an interesting and enjoyable game. Good use of NPCs to set up and interact with party thru out the session.

A very challenging game this week. The team had their work cut out; especially after they foolishly split up. Lots of nice loot as well. Great game as always.

Respawn rates are a bit too high given that RP slows down how quickly the party moves thru areas designed more for PW play.

Threw some addition spawns in as well, which added more drama and atmosphere, but burned up party healing resources rather quickly. Some players failed to adjust appropriately and led to several KIAs.

Generous treasure drops - and added some healing supplies in a couple to help out.

Awarded additional XP during play for RP and progress bonuses - always nice.

Like his mostly hands-off approach which allows the party and players to forge their own way thru the scenario at their own pace.

A fun (and thus far rare) mostly-roleplay session. The DM did a particularly effective job maintaining a challenging dialogue between NPCs when his co-DM was unable to make the session.

The Heavy RP session was a good break from the previous two action oriented ones. Plenty of NPCs and they all had character. Great Game ^_^

Not enough NPCs interaction to really gauge that, nor enough of the plot to gauge it just yet. A very fun game though - I was genuinely surprised how well balanced it turned out to be, with treasure and suchlike aiding in that. There were times I thought we would get mauled and didn't, which is how I'd say it should be. It was a little faster-paced than I'm used to, with less time to breathe/roleplay, but I still thoroughly enjoyed myself. Can hardly wait for next week!

Very fun, action-packed, non-stop tour and post-tour adventure (I'm including the adventure in my marks). The module is well-designed and aesthetically pleasing, but does have a number of scripting and related glitches - which the DMs did admit and are working to rectify. I'd place the adventure heavily on the hack'n'slash side of the scale, but there was enough roleplaying to keep me (a fairly hardcore roleplayer) happy. I'd personally have lowered the pace a bit to allow more roleplay, but given the time constraints on players and DMs both I can understand hurrying toward the main section of the adventure.

Not perfect, but very very fun. And isn't that really what it's about? I'd have no hesitation in playing again. None whatsoever.

Thanks for the tour. Enjoyed seeing some of the new areas and the preview of some stuff still under construction.

I cannot say strongly enough just how good these DMs are. They go to endless trouble in preparing areas and NPCs for each of the sessions in the campaign and they quickly adapt to what the players are doing. The plots are always interesting and challenging, requiring the players to use brains as well as brawn. I feel privaledged to be allowed to play with them.

RL and a sleepy DM meant the game was late to start but well worth the wait. These guys are amazing and offered up yet another visual and fun filled game. A power cut did little to dampen the game which goes to underscore just how good it was.

Callavan made the adventure lively and fun. He was able to adjust as we went to unexpected places, added personality to non-story related NPC's as well as the ones that were crucial to the story. I look forward to playing with him as DM again!

Luruar/Silverymoon is the most beautiful world that I have ever seen, by a very wide margin. Thorn is a fine DM who shows concern and respect for his players. His campaigns are always well crafted and highly enjoyable.

The battle with the Shadovar was hard going, especially in the presence of the black dragon who only Nordon seemed to be able to hurt. The melee fighters were taken out early on due to the dragon's aura of fear and missed most of the battle. The RP session in the council chamber was interesting.

Technichal problems made for a late start and despite a little lag the game was enjoyable and well worth the wait.

Superb NPC interction from a whole cast of story book figures. heroes you could cheer for and villians you could hiss at. Edge of the seat action as the group race toward silvermoon and dramatic rolepaly within the council chamber.

The game started late due to assistant dm being late and awaiting on a player who unfortunately could not make it due to computer problems. To compensate we went into overtime. A new character was introduced and very timely too as the small band of hero's and heroins found them selfs ambushed by Royal bodyguards and arch mages. Good fast paced game with some nice visual details and good NPC character interaction. Another fun and detailed game well spun by a good team of dm's.

The game seemed jinxed from the beginning reboot problems made a late start and several no shows ruined a well planned out game. The lack of fighters made it hard going until the group adjusted their tactics but by now the game had become spoilt by players tempers being frayed.

[Jeb Thorn's reply to comment: It was a rough one. Ecspecially when that player tried to hijack the game..I mean come on really now, would I have set up a area that stuff could attack you thru the walls on purpose? I don't mind if a player has a problem and try to work with them, unless they act out the way he did and insult me and the campaign. Been running this campaign over 8 months with the same players, so I must be doing something right.]

The DMs did an excellent job in providing everything that was needed for a great session. All kudos to them. Unfortunately some chaotic play prevented the session from being as great as it could have been. My thanks to the DMs.

I was a bit harsh after the game in terms of discussing with another player the lack of roleplaying (it seemed that it was directed at the players as a failing of us) that seemed to pervade our style of play. Jach and I both ran off at times away from the party and we did not function well as group.

That being said there is good reason for this. And it goes directly to one thing:

Respawning

and that's it. Some things were supposed to change in this regard but they never did. And when your character personally kills 30 Trolls in game then you tend to adopt a more Hack and Slash attitude.

This is not rocket science.

This is constructive criticism.

To anyone going to play in one of their campaigns or one offs (all the diehards that are still clinging on) don't take things too seriously. Have fun. Its a wild power gaming romp hack and slack fiesta at its best.

Just don't expect Shakespeare. ;)

The DMs had their work cut out for them with such a large group, but they handled it expertly. The difficulty of the battles was well-judged, even though there were a number of deaths due to player impulsiveness. Overall, a most enjoyable time was had by all.

Fun stuff. Gave me a chance to get a better feel for my character's personality, and to roleplay without being rushed by someone running ahead of the party and triggering an encounter. I had fun with it; I do like to spend time role playing instead of just hacking my way to a 'finish line'.

One thing I did notice, though. The XP roleplaying bonuses *could* stand to be a little higher at times. I don't believe in dumping XP and treasure randomly on players, but I saw some good RP in this event, and felt it was perhaps slightly undervalued. Of course, that's probably in the eye of the beholder...

Just when I think there couldn't possibly be anything new in this world I find more amazing areas to gawk at in wide-eyed wonder. This week it was the rocky mountains. It is clear that the builders have gone to great lengths to give us a truly different and beautiful world to play in. Luruar is spectacular.

We need more events like this!

I would say that the use of haks on the world is impressive. Very good looking.

The one stipulation I had was not knowing where we were going. Probably the PCs fault.

Oh well.

Beautiful server. Whatever bugs it might have don't seem to affect gameplay too much. Good game.

There were quite a lot of monsters to slash through, but not so many that I was completely prevented from getting into my character's persona. Game balance is often a touchy thing; it seemed well-managed here.

06/09/07 7 10 10 8 10 9 9 7 7 7
This was my first session with NR. DMs were good at getting me up to speed on the game and giving us a challenging time. I didn't know goblins could be that fierce!

Thanks again for a fun session.

06/09/07 7 9 8 7 7 8 9 10 7 5
The players RPed. But I would say the good majority was H&S. It was fun. A good cavern romp. It seemed excessive at some points. Some characters probably felt at the wayside. Or felt left-behind. Considering there were no traps...(which I clued in on) and LOTS of goblins... it was mainly tactically something where we just melee and storm thru.

A most enjoyable session of pure RP. The design of this world continues to amaze me. A great deal of attention is given to every detail of each session, from the area designs to the custom made creatures. There is so much eye candy that one spends a lot of time just trying to take it all in and to get one's eyes back in their sockets :)

06/02/07 7 8 9 8 5 7 7 8 7 7
Slight delay in starting due to various issues most outside the DM's control. Lag though seemed to be a factor throughout and despite this the dM organised a fun game and helped merge a bunch of misfits into a well oiled unit.

A rather unfortunate server crash a little bit after the session was scheduled to start delayed the adventure about 45 minutes or so.

The number of placeables and active NPCs in a couple of areas of town cause considerable lag sometimes. However, The world is a very beautifully done with a wide variety of CC well-employed.

Some of the respawns are a bit quick, which means you have to fight the same stuff on the way out of the dungeons as well as on the way in.

The DM provided some good leads prior to the session and during play to help the party out when stuck. He may have intervened a time or two in combats to clear some respawns as well - not sure on that:)

DM responded promptly to player queries during the session and has been very flexible in the scheduling of sessions to match player's availablity.

05/30/07 7 2 10 2 8 7 8 2 8 7
A bit of bad luck with this one. The server decided to go wonky at game time, causing a huge delay. Talk about bad timing. It may be for this reason that the DM presented us with a quest other than the one originally scheduled; I'm not sure. Things seemed a bit rushed from the start, as though everyone (me included, I'm sure) wanted to make up for lost time.

Some further preparation would have been useful. For instance, the henchman was scripted for another game, so his dialogue didn't fit the current adventure all that well. Someone forgot to finish the dialogue on another NPC (one of the quest givers). While not a game-breaker, I notice little things like that tend to spoil the immersion.

The plot made me laugh; the DM was obviously having some fun with an old fantasy theme. A variety of monsters ensured we'd need to re-think our tactics once in a while. This wasn't half bad, for a dungeon romp.

Despite some rough spots, I had fun, and the DM really went out of his way to make up for those. Thanks for the game!

The game was late to start but not because of the DM.

This was my first multiplayer experience and it went great.

It was a fairly small area with only one NPC so there wasn't too much interaction with the DM outside of the introduction.

Fun time, will look to join one of his more advanced games now that I have my feet wet.

Beautiful setting. Good plot, made sense and presented opportunities to really get into my character's skin. Some of the monsters were pretty overbearing for a level 1 character, but I was originally supposed to be playing a level 3 (a glitch with the character forced me to make a different one). That might have thrown things off a bit. The DM did balance it out with a few well-timed recoveries, though.

We had a lot of fun playing this one. I'll look for more single-shots in this setting.

I dunno about the top five...you guys still have to a lot of work to do for "Dming."

Overall Luruar is amazing. The level of detail is beyond anything. And the modeling is top notch/building etc.

And there is a certain level of humor that seems absent in many a campaign.

[Jeb Thorn's reply to comment: #1 its just me running this campaign. #2 I have a broken arm. #3 Go play somewhere else then if we are not up to your standards.]

Marvelous, enjoyable fun the game ran quickly with moments of pivotle importance. Great fun and suprisingly no bloodshed.

A slow start to this campaign, which was a good thing. It gave the party an opportunity to get aquainted through roleplay. A mixup over inn names caused the group not to progress with their mission as far as they might otherwise have done. A promising start to what looks like becoming a fun campaign.

A great begining for a new campaign. *coughs* Well, except the messing up with the Inn, everything went fine.

A complex game. Large group made up of 7 diferent countries and due to personal circumstances had to run single handedly until around halfway through the session.

Not an easy session due to both player and dm problems with their computers. A time limit also was a factor but a large mix of character classes show promise to cope with a wide range of challenges.

It is rare indeed that I award all 10s to a session, but the Luruar team certainly earned them this week. There was not a single aspect of the game that I could mark down. Simply outstanding! Thank you, guys, for all the work you put in to giving us such a lot of pleasure :)

What can I say the Dms for the PW world of Silverymoon / Luruar are very professional in how well they run a live event. Sometime it makes me wonder if they are actually paid by the server as they are very skilled and have never in the entire time I have been with them said anything that I have seen that would offend anyone, and they attempt to fit in a bit of storyline from the characters into the world in which they live in. If more people would take the time to actually download the haks and join one of the live event I am sure they wouls see exactly what I am saying here. GREAT JOB DM's!!!!!!! (I found it hard to see what was done by the DMs in the event versus what is non-DM involvement / scripted). I am marking this DM team into my top 5! :D (to bad I cant do that for the server as well)

Was designed to be run by 2 Dm's but I believe Jeb ran much of the session on his own due to the co DM having connection problems. I think most players didnt notice this as Jeb coped admirabley and the game flowed smoothly and fast pace showing his skill as a host and he also managed to fit in an extra player to a already large party. Well done.

The session this week was a big improvement. The party was better behaved and the DMs were able to do their jobs more easily. I would like to thank them for their patience through some trying times. Good job, guys.

To be honest, the game was not as much fun for me this week as it usually is. Perhaps it was the large, noisy and unruly party or perhaps it was the lag due to too much all going on at once. Despite this, the DMs coped well and did their usual competent job. I would prefer to see a smaller, more cooperative group.

Jeb did an outstanding job this week in controlling a HUGE party of very unruly characters. How he managed to throw up all the enemies needed to feed the blood-lust of the party, I'll never know. Hat's off to Jeb. Well done!

I've never played in such a large party before and I'm sure it was an organisational nightmare for the DMs who managed without losing total control. I felt that there could have been better use made of the forums to help the new PCs integrate themselves into the plot.

The DM's were very objective and tried to accomodate everyone's needs. I'd like to thank them for that. I usually like smaller parties because it allows for better RP. Here, it seemed we were just running non-stop through a field of orcs and shades like in a single player mod. Thankfully, there are a couple of good RP'ers and the DM team who prevented it from becoming a total waste of time.

The campaign's designed extremely well and a lot of effort has been put into the scripting, area layouts and bad guys. The fights were challenging, the treasure was great but I don't have the vaguest idea of the plot except that it has something to do with Shar. I'd like to come back for another session because of a few players who made the game bearable because of their PCs.

This campaign has a lot of potential and my advice is to slow down the pace a little and give everyone a chance to bring out their characters and get involved in the plot. Thank you for a good session and please take my feedback in a positive light to improve a great campaign.

The DM had his handsfull this week as a much larger group than usual, both player wise and manster wise were in the mix. Jeb however(and any helper/s?} did a wonderfull job and once leeving the city the game flowed smoothly.

What can I say but yet another enjoyable time.

The DM did a good job unfortunately the server seemed doomed to glitches this week. Players also seemed plagued by connection issue which to be fair were outside the dm's control. Still worthy of praise as over alll it was an enjoyable game although querky due to characters dropping in and out of the game.

Although organised and fun which I must add most of Jebs games are this week we were plagued by crashes which I think may have been caused by heavy snows this despite a few valiant attempts to rekindle the game did put a dampener on it.

I enjoyed this experience. It was my first time in "team" play, but the DM was practically "invisible". The game flow was very good and the party worked well together IMO.

The setting as always in the Luruar world was 1st rate. The challenge of the Orcs and some of the Gnolls was very fair for the Treasure received.

A nice "rescue/detective search" plot was the motive. Searching for a "lost or missing" traveler to the city of Silverymoon. I really think the DM never lost control of events, and even when I almost "got sent to the Fugue" it was more exciting than depressing. Sadly I had to leave before the end of the Game today but I hope to be able to play again since it has a very different feel and is most exciting to play along with other "human controlled PC's".

Given the fact that players didn't pitch and he had to scramble something together at the last minute, Jeb did a great job. The fireworks display was truly spectacular. Thanks, Jeb, for a nice, gentle session of RP.

I felt very sorry for the DM in this session. A couple of unruly players made it almost impossible to control the flow of the game. The DM did his best, but it was a thankless task. Thank you so much for trying.
