game lateness was based upon problems with a player logging on and not the fault of the dm's in any way. they went so far as to ask the players whether we wanted to continue without the player experiencing problems or wait to reshedule and run through a little prelude to another game they had set up in the meantime. thanks for taking our views into consideration guys. that's why you're tops!

Great gaming session. Every player had their chance for the spotlight, and the game moved along at a good place. Minor technical glitch with the chairs, but other then that everything seems to workd quite well.

well I have to say that was a lot of fun tonight. Each of us got to be the center of the party at one point or another and Clav loved the Kitty house. Great NPC's

Fleet street pwns, plain and simple.

The game was a blast. Although the hakpack download was massive, it was well worth it for the great visual work the Fleet Street team has put together. Although we may have only been through less than 10 areas total for the entire game, the work that they did really made them 'come alive'.

The theme was excellent and original - pure survival, being left with nothing but one's wits. First time I've really felt compelled to use the HotU crafting system.

Also to be noted is their ability to compensate for screw-ups along the way. Sometimes things didn't go exactly as the DMs' had planned, but they compensated admirably without sacrificing the plot - something hard to find in a non-DMed game.

This game was a little different than Iam use to but still was a good time. The interaction with the many NPC's made it a blast for me and kept us going along the path. Thank you for another fun time in the campaign.

Had a great time in this game. The DM's did a fantastic job, allowing the PC's the freedom to move forward at their own pace and explore the island. The additions in the Hak's were first rate, and the plot was intriguing. Well done!

Excellent game. Always ready to imporvise when a character went off the beaten path. I loved how you didn't try to stiffle the flow but instead go with it to make a godd game awesome. Visual one of the best games I have ever played. And anytime a 5th lvl sorc can become a Fire god is good times to me. Kudos to all the Fleet Street gamers.

Had a blast. The FleetStreet gang lived up to my high expectations. Their reputation is, it seems, well-earned. The module was beautifully assembled and made mind-boggling use of custom tiles and other content; but not just for custom-content sake. It all served the story of the module.

Impressive use of visual and sound effects. NPCs felt alive and were not all cut from the same cloth. The plot was fairly basic, but presented in a refreshing way.

My only concern was with the balance of some of the encounters. Some of the later encounters (while looking for the Furious Iron) seemed a bit overmatched, considering our disposition. It's a shame we didn't finish as planned, but in the end, it was a great time. I look forward to finishing next week. I'm sorry Rowena won't be able to join us, but she did make a rather striking decision. Game on!

[Garnak's reply to comment: In my haste to get the mod ready for NWCon, I didn't have time to test the encounters, so I had to go on instinct. For that I apologize ;)]

Great time playing the other night. Liked how things are turning out and good job working with players having difficulty being able to make the game. Always a pleasure with you guys, the DM team, and the rest of the players. Thanks!!!

Another great game. Sorry my computer crashed on me near the end of the session, so I missed a last little bit before game time was finished for the night. Defintely puts a unique twist on things to sort of be playing it all out in flash back.

Great, great time. We really got stuck into the fighting but it went along with the plot and the confrontation was needed. The design of the areas was superb and has inspired me and realize what can be done with just some simple thought and use of various settings on the area (and with apparently little hakage except for some interesting creatures we ran into). All and all, a very enjoyable experience.

Great game, once again!!! It is wonderful that we, the players, are allowed to meander about and explore as we will and still be able to enjoy the overall story (though, I'm sure it causes balding in our DMs :) ). Keep up the great work and I always look forward to our game nights.

Great fun. I am glad to see the world getting bigger as we move about and get more involved in the game. I actually dreaded moving around in that temple. A strange smattering of creatures as well. Understandable, though. They are like the Yuan-ti of this world, keeping servants of lower ilk along with animal companions and a flare of magic with the undead. Great job. I can sorta see a

absolutely wonderful game. heavy on both rp and combat, and well balanced as well. i was on the edge of my seat most of the night thinking we would all die at any moment; and the encounters, though tough, forced us to use all our resources and pool them as a party along with our talents...especially after our cleric failed to show.

01/27/04 7 9 9 8 7 8 3 9 8 8
An enjoyable game--the DM's were very accomplished, maintaining multiple, good NPC dialogs simultaneously and doing a great job of managing combat. The story was good--my only complaint was that the combat was tougher than it needed to be. The players were told to be tactical, but given the number and toughness of the foes, I don't know how much better the party could have performed. Still, I had a very fun evening in Menhir plains and would definitely play with any of these DM's again.

Very good game. Combat heavy, but not without roleplaying opportunity. The plot was interesting and the adventure very challenging. DM's worked well together in multiple NPC areas to allow the individuals to have side conversations and also used multiple NPCs well in the combat sections. Very enjoyable. I'd game with these DMs again.

I did find the game a bit too hard. I know it was partly our fault for not using the right tactics, but the sudden reinforcement battalions charging in when we were all busted up from the last fight weren't a lot of help, either :).

I don't want combat do be too easy in a module, of course, but I guess it's just that I'm a bigger fan of drama and character interaction than combat. Still, the game was fun.

Another great FleetStreet time -- and I'm really liking the flavor or this setting and the whole setup of this special forces type group -- as well as this particular assignment -- nice mix of mystery, atmosphere, some real characters in every sense of the word, and plot moving along nicely. Cross between some great novels, series, and movies I've liked, and as with all the FS stuff so far, exemplifies the best of what gaming can be in my opinion: a well run and well played blast.

01/07/04 9 9 8 10 10 10 8 9 9 9
Mighty good stuff. Highlights I particularly enjoyed: the construction of the city, felt truly large and multi-hooded; the use of the same as settings for great scenes and plot unfoldment; characters just right to be memorable, varied, and food for roleplay feasting by us as players with those NPC's and among ourselves; effects and custom content and/or new stuff, or just stuff I hadn't seen; and above all responsiveness and use of what we as players put into it, to make it clear we were really

12/29/03 9 10 9 9 9 10 10 8 10 10
This session and the first part last time mightily masterful! Loads of great plot stuff and world-bending stuff going on, and plenty of opportunity to roleplay in interesting ways all around, with fellow players and NPC's alike -- in other words deeply woven world with abundant material to enjoy and work with to become part of it. Once more, the best of fun.

12/29/03 9 9 9 10 9 5 9 10 8 9
Great game and story...though I think a little more hammering out of the plots and a few more clues could help deepen things, though being in the dark a lot helps build suspense, it just needs to be moderated a bit. Don't take that as a slam. I had a great time playing with everyone and I felt we all were pushing the story along. Look forward to somemore adventuring.

12/16/03 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
One of the best plot twists in any game ever. Fleet Street is one of the finest gaming groups found anywhere.

12/15/03 9 10 10 9 10 10 9 10 9 9
Creative use of bog-standard NWN sets and canned dialog! Its like taking a trip down memory lane to a time before we figured out how to run a game right ;) And that's not really a criticizm, it was actually fun in a meta-gaming kinda way. The characters are unusually odd, the interactions very enjoyable, the plot pretty much felt improvised at the last-minute yet pretty good(I actually appreciate this), and everything was very lightheared. Definitely different then usual. Good work!

12/12/03 7 8 9 10 9 9 10 10 7 8
Niceness! Obviously a lot more involved and unfolding aspects to this tale than expected at first! Mucho great opportunities for roleplay and interaction of many lively kinds. Looking forward to the continuation of the madness, mayhem, and meaningful murmurings....

12/03/03 9 9 10 9 10 10 10 9 9 9
Wondrous once again. High points: the Guardian Mech, the Nephilim all around on up to their leader, the bugwar, the setting for spreading out the action and allowing for some tension to build, and last but not least the gnome for some key interactions and plot forwardings. Low points: um, none I can think of, truly.

Great night - campaign is really beginning to pick up now that we've picked up the trail of the Uloo conflict. While level design once in the excavation site was inspired (loved tunneling under other passageways) the amount of area FX does tend to bog the system down a bit and make navigation, communication, and combat more difficult. it's the nature of the beast, for sure, but perhaps the ambience could be administered in a different way?

  great game!

i gave a moderate 'challenge' score only because we died so many times...but in reality, that was due to the naivety and urgency of some of our party. with proper tactics and well thought-out skirmishes, we probably wouldn't have used so many kits. also, i'm still not completely sold on using kits to raise/heal past negative HP. some people just deserve to die for their stupid actions, you know?

atmosphere and NPCs were wonderful. plot and characters were complex and made the game rewarding to explore.

i can't wait for the next opportunity to be a part of a FS campaign - especially a multiple session campaign!

thanks for a great game!

[Garnak's reply to comment: Heh, I tend to agree on the death issue. I would love it if we could really incorporate true death as a penalty for asanine playing, but in reality, we are here to provide enjoyment.   Great interactions with NPCs. The creature encounters were a little bland. Still no way to buy/find potions? -T

[Garnak's reply to comment: As noted in the documentation to this game, we run a low-magic world. Therefore, we use healkits (bandages) in the place of healing potions. I don't see the issue here, they work just as well. As for teh creatures, you were fighting an army. Hence, soldiers are the main segment you encounter. I don't beleive that driders and balors are necessarily appropriate.]

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. The players were great, the DM's top notch, the situations fantastic, the NPCs were typical FS excellent, the combat challenging, and the story... *grins*

I'm definitely looking forward to the next session!

This campaign is off to a promising start. The game suffered from several server crashes and stability problems, causing most of us who forgot to export frequently to lose the equipment we acquired. Otherwise, a fun experience regardless of the bumps and glitches along the way.

I've never had the pleasure to work with so many DMs playing NPCs before. The conversations they would hold with us or between themselves was always a blast to observe or participate in. It really brought life into what could have been an average module.

The only complaint I can lodge was the challenge level of encounters. Had the DMs not taken over many of the NPCs we were combatting, and many times

5 DMs could at times be overwhelming due to having so many NPCs chatting at once. In a crowded tavern this can really make your head spin. Great NPCs though just hard to really appreciate each and every one of them when they're all talking at once.

The plot started out a tad cliched (good guy turns out to be bad guy *gasp!*) but got more interesting and unique as it went on.

Challenging but by no means too hard. At one point when the going was getting rough, some heal kits -- dozens of the dang things -- kind of mysteriously appeared in some barrels. Probably not totally necessary. 3 would have been nice, but 50 of them was making things a bit too easy on us. Let some PCs (gee, I wonder which ones?) drop dead to teach them a lesson; a little suffering might help keep us in line. "Shucks, we are out of heal kits and it will take some time to find more. You'll have lie there holding your guts in for 5 minutes or so while we find more. Guess you might not want to charge into the middle of a room full of monsters next time..." ;)

I have heard good things about FleetStreet and now I know why. The Npc's were amazing. The module was top notch, the combat was extremely challenging....

If it wasn't for a few tech problems this one would have been 10's all around.

Excellent job running this game! And man did you guys have patience with us. It was insane how many problems we had. There were even more problems than I think you were aware of! It was unfortunate we had so many computer related issues because the individual it happened to is one that does not believe that roleplaying can be that good in NWN :). As to a critque of the game... My only problems were that a) No NPC interaction for 3 hours of the game. b) At the end I could not quite understand why the antagonist had done what he had done. However, the majority of it was outstanding. The beginning was one of the best intros I have ever seen! You guys do get my Top 5 vote. ~ Rizzen

Thank you for a great game. It was like no other game I have played so far and had some great plot points. Interesting character twists, really enjoyed the way things went and how the module started and ended. Great game to all the DMs. You did a fantastic job. Thanks for having us for your game. I really enjoyed playing. Thanks again

After overcoming wierd internet problems (not server related) things began to flow nicely. Nothing felt scripted. You guys did a great job. Thanks for taking the time to run us.

[Garnak's reply to comment: Thanks, and that's because we Fleeters all wear a big, shiny, metallic button on our chests that says "No Scripts"!]

My first Fleet Street Game and I surely hope not my last. The guys were very helpful. I like how you try to experiment with various aspects of the engine: add a cutscene, add custom music, etc. I also like some of your custom items, although, I think you misspelled Regan's name on her chainmail on purpose. ;P Hehe. I was not expecting some of my backstory to be used in some of the items you gave me, so thank you! I hope to see you both again in two weeks!

God's in the detail. So much cool stuff, such a ... responsive world. Like the NPC interaction (the kobold with the story, Rego on the boat), our crazy plans (drugging the swamp beast), "mom" dealing with the altar, the challenging fights, and then, at the end, all of us getting totally screwed by a slight cultural misunderstanding... Nifty. :)

Another well designed and executed adventure. I had a great time, and I hope this one continues into the future as a full blown campaign. I know I will be there. Thanks.

Okay, lets cut to the chase -- this game was amazing (and fun!). Why is that? Maybe it was the hugely entertaining and impressive range of NPCs? Or the bizarre situations? The wiseguys? The jester? The neat chess game? The really nice pawnbroker and his feathered friend? How about the setting that caused my frowning cleric to walk through town in a pouring rain, wearing only a soaking wet delicate white ball gown? Or her growing sense of insanity? Its to the point that I'm not sure what her state really is? You guys are tremendously good at keeping the humor, the tension, the fear, and the sense of losing it all soooo keen! Excellent! (J)

When the number of DMs out number the players by nearly two to one, you know its going to be an amazing game. Pitchforks gets better and better each week, which makes the week long wait to play again, even more difficult then ever before.

Excellent. M1 is an very well designed module, with an interesting story, a lot of nice touches both inside and outside of dungeons. NPCs felt alive. Nothing to critize at all. Nice to know you guys are around. - Shinji -

Great design! I'm not fond of huge downloads but the HAK had some really nice stuff in it. I also really liked the way the DMs handled scene changes. I hadn't seen anything like that before so I was a bit confused the first time. Wonderful handling of NPCs, except for a couple minor glitches. The party scene at the beginning was expecially good as the DMs must have been hopping from NPC to NPC almost constantly to keep the flow going the way they did. The game was maybe a bit too challenging at times for 5 players who had never played together before, but it was a good test and led to a conclusion that made a lot of sense. Had a blast.

Well, I have witnessed why these DM's are held in such high regard here on NWC. It was truly magical to get such a PnP feel from their efforts. I know it has been said before, but these guys are some of the best at what they do. Keep up the amazing job gentlemen.

One of the best Dmed games Ive been involved in. Very realistic and unpredictable.

Well the main DM had connection problems at some point and had to exit. Fortunately, there were three DM's in this game so the other 2 (vice DM's?) were able to step up and improvise a conclusion and did a fine job at that. Really well paced. Nothing beats a game with active DM's who keep the players on our toes the whole time.

Okay, I have to say it, what a cruel way to treat your low level characters :) I did not know whether to laugh or cry. I won't give spoilers here, but this mod does an excellent job creating a tense situation. I noticed that it also tends to bring out party conflict (to be expected in a similiar RL situation, so good job there), and I haven't figured out if this is a good or bad thing... Tileset use was just AWESOME, and the Jungle was laid out really well, I was lost after the first transition, lol.

I think perhaps the lack of magic was too far. Magic users should at least be able to have some extra scrolls or potions they have made. That is where a wizard really becomes useful.

Great game! Comments for improvement (minor spoiler): 1- The city seems a little bare--maybe have some townspeople milling around? 2- Present the PCs at first with some option besides killing the werewolves, or else any PC will not buy the anthropologist's line.

Hands down the best game I've played. I had lost faith in nwns ability to deal out the pnp experience, but this one did it. Very little fighting, but no lack of adventure. Lots of great improvising by dms. AWESOME GAME! Can't say enough good things.

This Cabaret game was an amazing feat to pull off. Spontaneously getting it all together like that, making the areas and setting up the plot, and then pulling it all off was a great display of DM ability. And what was even more impressive was the story being so emotionally rich and dramatic with such little preparation. This really shows you guys had this stuff in your bones, and were itching to get it out, and out it came, very well indeed.

This was a very well put together and excuted game. We had a tough time as players due to party composition and lack of experience, but it was still fun and interesting. I would play with these DM's again in a heartbeat.

I do belive Shape is an outstanding DM, however last nights game was a big disppointment to me. Bottom line: I felt the DMs were in competition with us not facilitating a story/adventure. IE it was bunker hill all over agian...not even sure why we were out there except to give the hordes of goblins target practice...(Not all the DMs fault there...the party did fall apart IMHO) (PS what the heck was up with all that time spent in the tavern...pointless) I also had connection problems to the point of program failure. Shape has done a fine job in the past and I look forward to games in the future.

As always the game was fun and moved along smoothly. Most of the glitches,( and they were few), were caused by players. I love playing in Shapers games.

I had a great time playing this module and although there were some glitches they were minor and far apart. The DMs did a great job of acting out the NPCs ( I loved the two dwarf furriers fighting between each other) and keeping the game moving along. They made roleplaying in this game easy and allowed us to make our characters seem more alive. I look forward to more games in the future from these DMs. There useage of messaging the players to set the mood of the game was outstanding. I learned alot about what its like to DM NWN games.

This was a well organized and well conducted class. When we students got carried away the teachers quickly got us back in line. We covered a lot more than I would have expected in such a short time. Teachers were quick to help and showed a lot of patience when anyone had trouble grasping a step. A lot of thought and preparation went into this class and it showed in the flawless execution. I never have expected anything so professional and I was truly delighted.

THANKS TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED. I am looking forward to DM201.
