It is a grand service you and people like the Neverwinter University provide for this community by helping us green DMs learn to use the tools of our trade. The only thing I would've liked more would've been like a virtual DM/GM Academy, but designed a touch elaborately. That would be awesome! Like a PW, with sign up applications similar to ALFA or NWC. Those that aspire to great storytellers could be given the opportunity to instruct their own classes regularly or once and a while stop in as a guest speaker or lecturer. The potential is astonishing!

Enjoyed thr RP elements of the session immensely but braeking in to smaller groups was rather disappointing, though I do see where it was driving *smiles* My crafting list is just a little too lengthy for tinkering with *laughs* and I'm not even sure just what I'm still crafting!

of of bloo and dha'kron's better games! This was a really good one. It flowed well, and had some real tension. Slightly more action-packed than normal as well and really quite engaging. The plot dev't was excellent as well, definitely a great game, can't wait till next week!

The Tournement of asero was one of the best thought out 'days' I've had on CS. Deservedly well attended by a large part of the player / admin body it lived up to it's promise and more. Thanks Everyone.

My hat is off to the dm's for staying awake during this one..as we learned the basics..gemmy you really were...very excellent "devil's advocate" of setting up scenarios and things that could go wrong.. and solutions.. it's to darn bad.Pang is not cut out for the spy business.. your thinking is excellent for this stuff.. you're a natural at it.. the espionage game..very impressed to see this side of you...LRP

Another well run game Sparky, it must be tough on your own but I find things flow seamlessly when you're in control. That little bit about Goran the wizard was good, and I enjoyed the constant pursuit and tension that went with it.

Yay Sparky you rule! Once again you've kept things flowing smoothly. We should really hold that Sparky day...we could have pie, beverages, some of those female Rakshasa from the CS buildkit...*nods* We can give Sparky an escort of them then...like Robert Palmer's girls *grins* Special thanks to Zax as well for helping out - Dha'Kron

Wow. Another great one by hansoo and dha'kron. I died but they brought me back in a totally appropriate and seamless way. Again, I marvel at the world hahnsoo has built. Great work on taking over the NPC's. A good deal of important plot stuff happened through NPC's in this game. Can't wait till next week!

09/15/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Reckon it was not your fault none who lead this group as a rule were there and I was being stubborn and not wanting to do it..hence my one and only very feeble attempt..still I strongly recommend SOME plan be in place next time..it's true agents are operating somewhat independently but they need to operate ON SOMETHING...and..going directionless when the group was being changed around to run differently was a BAD idea...won't keep good players this way eh? ...once again this is NOT a critique OF THE dm's themselves..hence no low marks....but OF THE GAME....and what needs to happen..LRP

09/15/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10

Great game, as usual. There is a lot of material to be presented in these classes, and the tempo is high. The occasional pauses are very good, as they let us develop our relationships and role-play among all the new technologies.

Wow, Totally fun. WTG BLOO! I'm new to NWN online and stuff, and never played PNP, but what a great time! And the world itself is incredible. It's clear alot of hard work went into everything. was an honor to play.

This game felt kind of hectic - as if too much content was crammed into one session. Nio wonder - this was a short summary of a whole lecture series! And Cyrus was very busy with his own project - looking for Cyan. /Starfox

To whoever did the "illusion" of Caldor and the elves he killed, awsome job. As soon as it appeared, I knew it was supposed to be an illusion, and it really conveyed the idea of Caldor moving around, as the elves disappeared behind him and appeared in front. Great Job!

Not loads of NPC rp *smiles* but know it was your doing behind the scenes that created challenging yet not impossible encounters..which given the fighters weren't there and the group small took a deft touch..thanks LRP

We were lost there for a moment but things got moving along really nice. I like the atmosphere building towards the ultimate confrontation. Hey, no fair! Setting a crazed chicken on Tam. At least it wasn't a crazed bunny. Argh... I still can't get over "Bongrin". As someone else puts it, "No self-respecting villain would be named Bongrin" Let's put him out of his misery, Ha ha ha

So, Theology 098 is over. I'm truly sorry I missed so much of it - especially the Boccob temple. I like these pure role-playing games, as long as they get intermixed with ordinary games once in a while. And I love this crowd for playing in this genre. As for the NPCS, the Pelor lady was interesting, but the Olidarma halflings sort of stereotypical - but ain't they supposed to be, especially when you only meet them a couble of minutes.

07/31/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Fantastic campaign. Perfect for my character. I was really pleased we got the Mershaullk thing at least partially developed. Alember and all the NPCs were excellent, and the themes we explored were top notch. Selfishly, I don't want to have to wait for 126, but when it happens, you've a willing player here. Applause all around - shire

Great game guys! The lag was the only issue. Even with the slow server, at the end of the game I felt like we could have played longer. The last session seemed to bring in more of the intrigue going on between Alembar and the other council members. (Or maybe it just seemed that way to me since I made more of an effort to eavesdrop). I'm tempted to bribe Alembar with a box of those chocolate turtles to get in on the next game. - Yavel

What Arlan learned from this class? a/ The deities seem limited all of them so specialized, there's got to be a boss god over seeing the deal. That Pelor was in it's own way as bad as Hexor in the way it treats folk like Nat and others. b/Mainly she watched and learned about the wold around her. The real lesson was in watching how folk manuver for power and the game of one upmanship and how that is played out in the Spire. That one must have caution in all they say and do. To her, holding a teacher accountable for actions of their students still is not something she totally understands they why of but does understand that it just is and that is the fact on which her actions must be predicated. This was driven home end of that last session, oh yes she did learn a great deal when the clerics of Hexor appeared and took the revanent off. To say she felt deep remorse that an act of hers caused this for another doesn't even begin to describe how she felt nor her sense of helplessness to stop it and take what she felt should have been her punishment to bear. Also how folk can be manipulated and lied to as the Hexors did in leading Arlan to think they were going to sacrifice that lady in the first place. And finally she did learn no human sacrifices are allowed in the city. Good game all of you and in this course Arlan learn if not a lot about gods, she did learn a load about life and how it works in the Spire

07/30/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Another whoa for the DM team. All the scenes were set up beautifully again and the NPCs had the depth were used from you guys.

Shame about the lag which plagued the game throughout. The game itself, however, was intriguing and allowed for a wealth of individual characters to group together in a lesson of discovery.

I still want to hit those hextor priests though.

07/30/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 7 10 10
I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first:

Server was crap today ;)

That aside, this was one of the most incredible sessions ever. All of a sudden, just near the end, it hit me. The class hadn't been deviating from what Atlictoatl had expected in our misbehavings. Rather, he had pushed us subtly to those, in order to provide an emotional rollercoaster of a gaming experience. Kudos to Atli! I can only hope that future campaigns I take part in, or run myself, will be half as good as this.

Fabulous stuff Atli, and thatnks to all the DMs for making it happen! -Kal

Thank you as always.....you know the DM's can make or break this game on how they play the NPC's. You don't hand it to us on a platter, neither do you make it impossible and both would be easy to do lRP

It's been a long time since Gailene took part in a DS adventure; I'd almost forgotten how addicting it is! The adventure was quite well done, though you could tell things were hectic and hard to control at times (like the disappearance of Killian). Gailene even got XP this session!

Well show you fellows. This are I think the best dm's of the lot! You shine, you make the class so rich! The telescope the *giggles* the priest of boccob and all of it was great! I was getting worried we were going to have to sit and class and read the entire time! OMG and ahh me and Ivy was gonna look at my summoning book with the pictures in it! Let alone a fifty page paper. Thanks so much for taking us to that magic show! LOL that's what it felt like, remember those visiting shows that would come to you school and you'd go to the gym to watch some magican to magic tricks, thank you guys for such an intensly interesting game! 07/23/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
This session just keeps on getting better every week. I really didn't expect the game to be as entertaining, due to the lack of combat, but I am constantly and pleasantly surprised. Who were those men in red? Ivy didn't like or trust them, and she didn't like being told she wasn't allowed to listen. Still, that's never stopped her in the past.

07/21/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
This game requires so much DM involvement I reckon as we make rolls and searches and inquires and all that stuff. There was only two of us, one a lvl two and the other a lvl 4 and we could have gotten killed and worse, but thought you balanced the encounters just right, and made splendid use of my wolf summons to help us track and get to where we needed to be, thanky you for your time and attnetion!

Dha handled all my requests quite well, and all things considered, I think things went pretty smoothly.

It's a shame we crashed right when things were picking up momentum though. We never really got it back, I think.

Well Bloo sorry RL took over, you never know when Mom's are gonna show to fix dinner eh? Ahh Adam you did a great job taking up slack there as Killian and did an unprecedented review there under your PC. Once you and I connected up there we were *laughing* able to wreck havoc, as only PM can with kings and commanding officers! And thus make the game ahh fun for all of them eh? Ourselves included! Bloo your absence was apparent and hope that next week you'll be more in game with us eh? Take care, bloo, and know you were missed by one and all! LRP

Well back onto the top five list ye go, right at the top. Was a good game, and judging from what I can see of the right dialogue box the other group was well occupied as well. Things are picking up and starting to feel like old times again! Thanks for all the fun last night. I do hope the game stays a secret this time and the number of players small! LRP

Ohh Bloo!! Sure do love the smaller, quieter size of DS and it's nice to have you back at work as the dm! Went in expecting to do the Trial of Lunet and come back out and OMG what you threw in bespeaks of your genius and creativity at moving PC and world development in wonderfully unique and startling ways. Once again in the Ancient Silver you provided me with a precious memory and a new longing in Purple's heart. GG Bloo LRP

I am glad Swab was there for the last DS session. Wow, what a finale, war with iron golems and a King dealing with treachery by his own son, some great story telling. I can not wait for Crimson Spire and it looks like you have many excellent helpers to make it great. Thanks hahns. - Kandelai

Top marks for perhaps the greatest roleplaying experience i had using nwc.

pity its ending but it was a good run bloo; the game was flawlessly done every week and while it was far from perfect behind the secenes every plot and thread moved with skill and an excellent pacing that in the end made this an excellent gaming sessionary.

i look forward to crimson spire

Excellent, as always. hahnsoo is always stretched too thin, with so many areas and players to oversee at once. There were some lag issues during this session, especially when initiating encounters with hostile creatures, but luckily at least in my case none of those creatures were very tough, so I didn't get the dread "freeze and end up in Fugue" phenomenon.

It seems many players have their own ideas about how the Red Mist plot and Kaldour's disappearance should be resolved, not all of which are compatible. There needs to be better coordination of these things, else some players may get the shaft on their ideas.

I will ask Rizzen for 5 more slots on the "Non-player characters" aspect. You deserve at least a 15 for the superb roleplaying when controlling the fading memory of the Dragon! A most fine and touching speech, that was. I wish I knew exactly what DM possessed it, since you guys are many, but I don't need to think twice to say that the seeds (or a full-grown tree?) of a great storyteller is there! - Brenno.

Whew -- Gailene no longer has to nurse her big brother! But the circumstances of his removal were a little disturbing to the poor girl. Oh well; be gratefuly, roll with it, and move on. Thanks for the session!

Bloo -- Once again, spotless performance as your NPCs. I'm continually impressed by your skill and talent at that. Good call to end the session early; hard to stay focused with the news, and maybe too ironic to be conducting a war in-game. Good support team also, you guys! I've been greatly enjoying getting to work more closely with the DM team at CS, and it's nice to feel some of that comraderie bleed over to DS. A pleasant reminder that I'm still welcome at DS despite my many absences.

Bloo is undoubtedly one of the best DMs out there. The way he has of making things seem completely real is simply magnificent. If there's one campaign I always look forward to, it's definitely DragonSpire.

On top of being an incredible DM, he has managed to bring together an excellent group of people through careful selection of players. Moreover, the world the players get to interact in is most vivid and extremely well crafted, and also purely his own design.

Overall, Bloo is my King of DMs! Congratulations for what you've accomplished and keep surprising us with those incredible stories of yours.

hahnsoo and the gang really pulled it together tonight. comming late due to other reasons he stayed an extra hour over the gametime and without any cues led our group right to the tension point needed to kick off a professionally edited plot as if this was planned weeks in advance. and the scene acting from this one guy was nothing short of excellent.

This wasn't one of my best sessions, nor one of my most fun. (In fact it was probably the least fun I've had on this server.) But that's mainly my fault -- for being so insistent on staying with Gailene's brother to the exclusion of all else. Gailene gets out now only to run errands in town, or when someone ports her somewhere.

I hope things can pick up soon. The server and DM are still great, of course. My character is just playing herself into a boring corner.

For the first time ever, I went an entire session without killing anything. And... *gulp* it was fun! That's how much I love this server. That's how much I care about my character's life in this server, how much I'm immersed in its reality.

Kudos to hahnsoo for being able to pull this off in his world.

One of the most amazing things about DS is having the ability to create our own storylines, and having that personal involvement. My cleric is experiencing things that I can't imagine being able to do anywhere else. Not only is there a great story, but DM hahnsoo backs it up with scripting, excellent NPC roleplay and flexibility. ardiel

Dragonspire is hands down the best NWN game in around.

I have played at least one game with all the top rated DMs listed on NWC. I have played on just about all the top rated persistent worlds listed on NWC. And after my third try I almost gave up entirely...then I played a session on Dragonspire. That was almost six months ago and I can say with confidence that they all pale in comparison to Dragonspire.

A good portion of this is do to the fact that Hahns takes the time to explain what is expected of his players in his role-playing game and to screen out those that simply would not adapt or probably enjoy his world. He is extremely flexible and lets his players not only have input into the world but to actually shape the world by their actions.

But a lot of the greatness that is Dragonspire comes from what Hahns has does creating 'HIS VISION' using the tool kit packaged in a game called

Well, our party remained in fugue for like 25 to 30 minutes due to some weird lag glitch with the monsters. We were all transported there. So that really cut down on the fun factor, but it was nice to see some of the old players again. As always, lots of good role-playing on the server.

Another enjoyable game, although I was pretty lost for some of it. I really admire your ability to go through all the intense adventures and then to jump right into character, in a fresh place, unrelated to what you have just been doing. I couldn't do it. And yet you do it believably and incredibly well. Thanks. ardiel

Vro - This week and last week has been great. I love getting tied in with less powerful characters. I don't think high level characters should often fight along side with low level characters, but I think everyone should get some good roleplaying time together. Best newbie transition ever.

I'm beginning to agree with Jinxx and Kandelai, DS feels like it's drying up. Maybe it's the focus on CS. Part of the problem is lack of things to do. I can only get xp for a couple of canned quests in a session, since most canned quests have "quest items" and there are a few players who play very hard and fast and get them all, long before I could (I tend to spend a lot of time rp'ing). So, as a result I spend seven out of eight hours on bug hunt night AND plot night hanging around with nothing to do. At a minimum, I think canned plot items should respawn so more than one person/group can do them. I can rally up a group and rp going on a canned quest and have fun, but when you get to end and realize it's been for nothing, well that's very frustrating, and is strongly contributing to a glacial level progression, at least for me. There are characters who started the same night I did who are three levels higher... and of course canned quests give nothing compared to plot quests. Mulu
