Great game guys, very interesting, and more importantly; fun.

I just have to say that its a shame to be losing you from the TGoA gang Jehaine... day 4 just won't be the same..

Nice game again this week. Thanks for the being patient with me, I think it only took three hints for me to finally get the message that the doorway spell was actually a spell, and being a mage I might actually be able to dispel it - oops! - Loc

Perhaps would have benefitted from more encounters and less party talk...Sometimes felt a little lacking in direction, but overall was a fun experience.

Great game TOJ. It was great fun starting from the beggining with the new players though not quite so. And with new minds to help uncover the plot we stepped a little forward in the investigation of the mistery. As always, remarkable NPCs and envolving enviroment.

TOJ is running a very fun adventure, handling the NPCs quickly and flawlessly, pretty areas and an envolving world. I especially like your narrated description for some areas, as well as the fact that most humans ignore Bundin. These small things make this world very unique. I look forward to every game of this campaign. - FP

I had great fun playing tonight. The game flowed smoothly, the challenge of the fight at the end was just right, the NPCs were vibrant and alive and I liked how that corpse with the metallic arm gave a nice intrigue to look forward to. Hell an introductionary

Good show, TOJ. A very fun game, Bundin learned much in his interaction with so different NPCs. Very well built world, with much to see, I'm sure. I look forward to see what happens next week next week!

Excellent. Another one of those big pay off sessions. This campaign has the narrative flow of an well written TV show (both the DM's and Players being part of that) and it shows. This was a very good episode. Loved it.

Very fun game. The plot(s) are coming into focus. We made much more progress this session.

Tough to provide a review for this game. The DM team consists of 4 capable people, and the PC group was equally competent in all aspects of the game. However, that said, there is an obvious lack of motivation present on the DMing side which is a significant factor to consider. Being on that side of the fence many times before, I would find it difficult to judge, were there not 4 DMs present.

Top notch people all around, players and DMs, but no one at the top of their game. We have room for improvement.

This was a fun adventure... and TOJ made up for an unexpectedly small party with a very interesting NPC. Imagine a guide who can't read a map! LOL

Having gamed with DM-TOJ and player-TOJ, this was the best of both - a great way to interact with this funny, imaginative, creative guy!

[TOJTS's reply to comment: Maybe I like playing a normal PC too much when I DM sometimes *blushes*]

Despite the small party size, it was still a fun game. The plot was mysterious and that made it great. You would't happen to run the long version of the campaign again? :) I never am bored in your games. Keep up the good work! Play Mate

I was not chastised for being late and was given immediate attention with setting up and throughout when I had questions. Very good mechanics-wise. The npc Minih was quite annoying, consistently so. The plot was intriguing, we only had a couple

This was my first true on-line roleplaying expirienc, so I can't compare it to anyithig else. For the begining maybe it was a bit short, but then again. As it is staded the game was designet for 3-5 players, but there were only 2 of us, so maybe that was a bit of hendicap. On the other hand I enjoyed it much! I could change my opinion about some little things in the futere when I'll get more expirienc in playing. Thanx for the game TOJ!

Great game, and I hope I get the chance to roleplay with you again. I liked a lot the part when you brought the spider in to deal with the orcs, and overall it was very fun.

[TOJTS's reply to comment: *laughs* hehe, now THIS is what makes DMing fun. Unexpected behavor! *smiles big*]

Hilarious start to the game, with three TPKs in as many minutes. When we got settled into it, it was a great deal of fun, with a 'mad' so-called plot and some decent tricks and traps etc. The other players all made for a great game as well. Excellent 'old school' way to pass an evening.

[TOJTS's reply to comment: Thanks, will make use of the 'old school' quote from now on. :)]

A great game - if anything I thought your improvised ending was more realistic than the 'proper' one and certainly better from a roleplaying perspective. The kids are not held in stasis until the adventurers find them, but die after the adventurers spend to long sitting around talking (or rather fail to find them, but that is what I thought had happened). Very well done, although depressing.

[TOJTS's reply to comment: Really thankful for the ideas. I will incorperate them somehow into the module before release soon.]
01/08/04 10 10 10 7 8 7 9 10 7 9
Great one-shot. As I experienced first hand the game was very versatile, allowing for different game experiences. It really depends on the player group if they get the most out of the module or if they fail gruwesomely :). I thought I had seen most of the NWN engine by now, but TOJ managed to surprise me a few times with exceptional design. Very nice and a fun game indeed. - Play Mate

Very well done game by TOJ. The darkness was very fun (heh, much more fun than i ever thought it could be) as well as the encounters. The room caving in on us and also the statues coming to life were nice surpirses. I love how you never tried to force us in the right direction and ultimatly let us go in the wrong direction and thus fail. I don't think i've ever played in a game where we failed. Your flexibility is a great thing. Looking forward to playing with you again TOJ!

-webhead

[TOJTS's reply to comment: *laughs* I can definetly see how failing could be fun! Though, as you say, don't do it that often. And 'failing' doesn't have to mean party death. Thanks for feedback.]

  -= A Mad Story (a TOJTS mod) =-

DM ran a fun adventure that challenged all of the PC's. Will certainly improve with more experience.

*Constructive Critisism* DM can add some more background for the PC's, I wasn't sure where we were going and for what reason.

Little chance to roleplay for the DM...only 3 NPC's and one is at the ending of the adventure.

Module had a nice puzzle...Perhaps the Mad Wizard could taunt the party by "Teleporting/Jumping" down to their level to distract them.

01/05/04 9 8 10 10 7 7 9 10 8 8
Good game! Lots of fun. Lots of twists to keep us guessing. The maze goblin was very well played. Lots of cool tricks in the module, like the labyrinth and the room of mirrors where we fought clones of ourselves.

The weakest parts of the game were the beginning and end. Could use some introductions and background info at the beginning so we know what we're doing and why. The end could have been wrapped up better too. What happened to the orcs in the cave? Were there many left? Did we save the village?

Overall a fun game. Great job!

[TOJTS's reply to comment: Yup yup. *nods* Hard to keep it on time though.]

01/04/04 8 9 9 8 10 4 7 8 8 9
Brilliant! This is one well deserved DM101 certification. The only thing I would say is to try not to pause the game if you can help it, but thats just a minor niggle.

The wizard was great, the goblin was better, and the adventure itself ran brilliantly. I'll look forward to your next game!

A very enjoyable game, you lent a hand where needed and that kept the flow going well. Good use of lighting and sounds. The pace and difficulty were just right. Thanks for the game - Vual

12/30/03 9 8 10 6 8 8 10 10 7 8
I loved the game's challenge and the pace was intense. A real action thriller with a nice dose of roleplay. What I missed was more time to interact with other players and more interactions with NPCs. I was hoping for more opportunities to develope our characters personality vice but at least we managed to more or less fit into the game schedule (heh and that's an accomplishment for a single shot adventure). The game design was also top notch. Thumbs up.

[TOJTS's reply to comment: Yeah, it is what this one-shot doesn't have (too much): interaction. I've got a few ideas how to spice things up. (tag along NPCs etc...) But you don't really have time for much as the end can take a while to complete if not done "correctly".]
12/30/03 8 9 10 7 9 9 10 10 8 9
Excellent all round. Interesting puzzles, nice improvisation by DM, good rp, _great_ use of effects. (And now I want to steal that quicksand script, as well...)

Difficulty extremely challenging but very nicely judged by the DM, making for a tense final fight. And unlike most adventures, the tension didn't immediately let up either... the pressure stayed on during the escape. (Always a sign of good GMing when the group finishes up still alive, wounded, completely out of spells and potions and running for their lives.)

(How many ghosts _does_ it take to swarm a dwarven cleric with Extra Turning, anyway?)

[TOJTS's reply to comment: How does 200 shadows sound? ;) Glad you liked getting up to a challange. Was a fun group. No real fighter makes more interesting and dynamic fights (and everyone like those, maybe not the dying players *coughs*) The visual scripts, well, for one-shots which are kinda simple, I put effort into making it easy to run and much automated. Thus I put more effects than usual.]

This was a quieter affair than normal, but it was still filled with the things that make these games so enjoyable; characterisation, intrigue, plot and more plot, with a dash of plot for seasoning. The lower than normal number (and varying presence) of GMs was hardly noticeable.

[TOJTS's reply to comment: Damn it! I'm hardly noticeable when I'm around...=(...;)]

What a game!! *WHEW!!!!* You guys threw the book at us with this one. There were plots running amok! What a blast, but I am sure you all need a good stiff drink. I was dizzy after this one. Seriously.

Even if this one hadn't directly related to my character, it would be on my best list. You guys worked real hard to put it together, and execute it. :)

11/16/03 9 10 10 9 10 9 9 9 10 10
Loved the story in this game. It had such a great ending. TOJ was very fair in his dealings and kept the game on track without pushing the PC's to much in any specific direction. The best part of this game was the twist ending. Great game!!

11/16/03 8 10 10 9 10 9 9 9 10 10
A great first run of this module TOJ! The puzzle was interesting. The Story... excellent. The game was top notch!

11/15/03 9 10 10 10 10 10 8 10 10 9
This is probably one of the best games i have had in neverwinter nights. I wish TOJ ran a campaign and that I could be in it :). He was a great DM and is definitly going in my top 5.

The only problem i had with the adventure was i found it a bit easy(combat wise). This could be due to the equipment we were able to acquire at the beginning or maybe we just played it very well.

11/15/03 8 10 8 5 10 8 8 9 8 9
It was cool and fun. And a very good story too.

11/10/03 7 7 8 10 8 10 8 10 8 8
First proper campaign session was an eye-opener - there's a whole lot going on here! It's blatantly obvious that the DMs are putting a lot of work into this to make it a really special experience. All I have to do now is work it all out?!

11/10/03 9 10 10 9 9 9 9 10 8 8
Great as always. Though things may seem hopeless for us at times, I'm always excited to see where it all takes us.

The way you guys play NPC's, there are times I want to give you Best In Game. ;-) The team of TOJts, Felrazor, Cowman, and Elbast is a hit! Another fun session among many fun sessions.

Fine conclusion to an enthralling role playing adventure. Hey, we even got to kill a few NPCs this time! An interesting twist to the usual

11/06/03 7 8 9 8 8 10 8 10 7 8
Smashing game which debunked any thoughts in my mind that gaming online would be all about hack and slash. The session was 98% roleplay and the one combat was appropriate within the setting and storyline. The twist that there was no twist was ... well, a nice twist, although I suspect there may have been a twist me didn't untwist! The other players all added to the ambience of the game and held character brilliantly - to the point where after interacting with them for nearly 8 hours overall I know NOTHING about them, but feel I have a fair handle on their characters!

All in all, a great introduction to NWN

11/05/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
nice mini adventure. I hope to have the opportunity to play again in one game dmed by this team. Suited for heavy roleplayer style only.

11/01/03 6 9 9 10 10 8 9 8 8 9
True roleplaying. Need I say more? Well, okay, just a bit. This is the sort of fantasy adventure you dream of when you want to get immersed in a story - and *be* part of that story. NPCs that actually exist as real entities. Communities of interacting entities. And adventure with more mysteries on the horizon...

This Mod was Amazing, I had fun around every corner, the other players enhanced it, and the memorable dwarf was there for everyone, the Druid (or I believe he was a Druid) was there, and actually made me feel bad when his pet bird was hurt in battle...

11/01/03 8 9 10 8 10 8 9 10 8 9
This game was a lot of fun, and the flexability under certain circumstances you showed during the bar fight and getting into the brig was great. I really can't wait till next saturday!

For my first ever experience of NWN onlibe, this was an awesome introduction. The DMs were helpful and very patient with my starting problems and then ran the perfect 'let the players run with it' game. The other players were instantly in character and mixed gentle humour with characteristic seriousness. I'm looking forward to the next session!

10/30/03 9 8 9 5 10 9 8 9 10 9
I have to say that 6 DMs was a unique and wonderful experience. I really saw very little confusion and lots of excellent background.

The game was... very original, I liked it very much. I had some really weird dreams after playing in it...

This game proved to me that a dm team can be very effective. I was particulary amazed by how they can create great roleplay situation with multiple npc.

The mod is also very evocative and thats make the story more alive.

That was a good one hehe.

The game started late only because NWC had some problems, the game was supposed to be a one-shot adventure but because of the freedom the DM's gave us we had to schedule a new game for next week to continue

10/30/03 7 7 10 8 8 7 6 5 7 7
Thanks to the 6 man DM crew. Quite an experience. This plot was certainly unique, with lots of twists and turns. The NPCs sure had lots of personality too. The only advice I'd have would be to stick to the time alloted, even if it means ending in mid-adventure and continuing in a later session (I'm dragging at work today because of our late finish). Also, some of the fights were a bit tough for our party, although that could be the result of the mod being designed for a larger group.

[TOJTS's reply to comment: Ah, always difficult ending on time. As the DM team were put together over "the big pond" it should have been difficult to get together it again in such a short notice I believe. Combat was simple...at least for the designers ;). But I shall tweak it further.]

First, a huge thanks to this group of DMs for running this game for NWCon. Six DMs is quite ambitious to pull off and it went very well. However, given this had to be a one shot, it seemed like we crammed about 6 hours into...well...5 hours...when it was actually planned for 3 and a half. No real fault of the DMs.

Second, I think the most fun I had was when we died...no kidding. There were some absolutely hilarious comments from the peanut gallery (PCs) that had me rolling on the floor. Great stuff.

Thanks again for the effort.

Had a wonderful time. Was challenged in many ways, but never so difficult that it wasn't something that we in the party couldn't solve. Well done story for a short adventure. About the only complaint I might have would be on the lack of treasure for everyone in the party- a few odds and ends in old equipment around, but little else. However, that didn't detract from the adventure itself at all. The DM's were also very good in being flexible in a couple of unusual circumstances, and handled them admirably well.

10/26/03 9 10 10 8 9 10 8 10 9 9
A very nice adventure. Pretty straight-forward quest for a magic item. The areas were very well created. The battles were a bit on the easy side, but since there were some new players, that was probably a good idea. Overall, well done.

I liked to do play in this freeform game we had chances to play out of the engine.

One shots are hard to manage I think. When you say the game length is 2.5h or whatever, and the player will play a lot of conversations or similar. Then you have to cut out some nice things to hold the game-length setting.

This was a very fun game. Its pace was a tad slow but that was due to the situation that we were in. The suspense was kept up and the DM was great at creating a great atmosphere.

This was a very fun game to play.

Elbast is ever committed to the theatrical, epic drama, where the great emotions runs wild, and the plot always runs tight. It is the players who are the centre of it all, but the world around is so alive and so full of mystery, drama, danger and wonderful things, I always look forward to returning to this world and experience more. Definitely one of the best DMs ever, with some incredible co-DMs by his side :)

Oh definitely a top 5 choice! TOJts was no surprise, for he always hosts such fun games, but Cowman was, I hadn't played in one of his games before and I was very fortunate to be in this one. I loved the mystery, the npcs, the fights, the sounds, the sights, everything! I can't wait for an invite to another one of their games!

Whew, just a single adventure. Yet, i've had more fun in that, than those I've played in before on entire campaigns! Congratulations, both of you, ya made my top 5 DM list. ^-^

About the low NPC mark: Though that could be a lot higher (I really liked the way you personified the character), there was only one NPC. Good show overall, by far!

This session was very grand in scale for me. I had a lot of fun, and despite a few technical details, it ran smoothly.

Thanks a lot for the wind-down time at the end of the session. I learned a lot about the other players, and got to go a bit more in depth with Samlin's personality.

All in all, a very strong developmental session for my character, and the DM involvement with the NPC's talking and interacting with us and each other was quite well done.

See ya in 7!

Though it was only my first session with this group, I still had a lot of fun. I had never played with a group that had *four* DM's, so it was definitely a pleasure to watch so many NPC's come to life. This made for some very very active scenes that normally wouldn't be possible with only 1 DM as I'm used to. Had a brief moment where we had a glitch and had to reload but that really didn't detract from the overall experience. Looking forward to next week and delving further into the plot. (and my character discovering more)

This campaign has been fun for me from the start. The DM's do their best to personalize the game, and include the player's development and such in the gameplay.

My character was emoting his faith in luck by flipping a coin - well, later on and in an appropriate way - the DM's created a 'lucky coin' for my character! That really made the entire experience for me that day.

If DMs are trying to do these kinds of things, the game seems more epic and personal. Everyone likes custom armor and items, but getting a Lucky Coin? That just breaks the mold.

I am looking forward to seeing the other characters develop and seeing how my character interacts with them in this long-term campaign setting.

With these kinds of DMs running the show, its bound to get VERY interesting!

It was simply great. The pace, atmosphere and challenge was all perfect. At no point did I feel the DMs where pushing us along - even allowed us to backtrack quite a bit to build a fire and rest. This sort of freedom, combined with the amazing yet "invisible" control of events really made it special.

One of my all-time favourite sessions. Neat placement of backstory-character, nice mix of set-piece and ... letting us improvise. (I really appreciated you giving us time to do beyond-interface stuff during the escape.) Good to see GnomeTown again, too.

[TOJTS's reply to comment: I thank Dreng for going with the improvisation all the way =)]

Drengist continues to impress me, with his creativity. I'm really enjoying meeting the dwarves and seeing more of the extensive game world, and learning more of this plot that Bolg has created against the more peaceful races. ardiel

Best session we've had in a while, IMO. You wouldn't believe how much the music can actually contribute to the atmosphere (which in turn inspires the players to be more creative). Get rid of Wagner, though. ;) (j/k)

Neat plot. Nice pace. Very interesting dream. And the bandits "making their own order"... was cool.

My only real gripe: other bandits waiting to ambush us were spawned in? If they were... it makes scouting / detect mode a bit useless.

Minor concern - occasionally a bit too much micromanagement for my taste. (Running around getting supplies when the DM could just

  TOJ - a FINE session.

This week's EF had everything for me... combat challenges, non-combat challenges, dream sequences, RP opportunities galore.

And Damn! Do I love that Wand of Improvised Magic.

Turning the stones to mud, setting the combat dummy alight, and negotiating the broken bridge were highlights for me (the other being a conversation with Sean that you would have overheard, but had no input in). Keep it up... and Gandor will be a satisfied Gnome for a long time. I would say "happy" but he's rather morose at the moment... especially after re-living his mother's death again. :)

Second best EF ever, after the bandit camp rescue.

[TOJTS's reply to comment: Glad you like the wand. I would too if I played "mage type" in any game. 2nd best, eh? That's really neat as the best sessions for you feel like the worst for me :D (techincally that is). *thinks of putting ANOTHER bandit camp rescue soon*]

I'm happy to be back in TLA, after that break. It's been a bit hard to start back up again, getting back into character and settle into the group again, but the game is so much fun! The story just draws us along. ardiel

Not very much to say that I haven't, great game, worked smoothly except from some lag and anoying corpses that you couldn't run over. One thing that's nice about this campaign is that it isn't strictly 'straightforward', like the Apochetary, we don't really know wether he's a good guy or a bad guy, we're left with the suspicion.

A hard game, but a fun game. One of the best storys I can imagine. It really had me wanting to discover more and to go to the places and see new sights. I really wanted to experience more of the depth of the adventure.

07/08/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
This session was entirely TOO fun! With the plot twisting as much as the corridors of the maze we are all-but-lost in, the party is getting a mental workout between intense battles with the (now former) Master and his minions. Great balance of story and combat, IMO. Thanks for a great game!

Excellent continuation in the Underdark. Liked the wall of fire and also the final climax and the cutscene, made of this session a fine story with mythological propotions (despite the three times dead). I'm looking forwards to next weeks session! -BR-

I had an off day; but, TOJ helped keep me on track. I enjoyed the game today. The roleplaying was top-notch. Normally we have more combat, but today was a nice change. I like the variety so I don't get bored and TOJ keeps delivering a game that lets us enjoy ourselves and feel like we have some control over our destiny, yet provides an interesting world to interact with and some nice plots for us to explore when we choose to pursue those plots.

Tojts great game as always but yes the orc chieftan was way way to hard, and hit for far to much damage. Not cause of the level but because we are so poorly armoured and epuipped. Was glad to see Mand finally get a bit better armor and I did give her my large shield that I saved a very long time to get truthfully. This is a major complaint I am coming to have with the game. There is such a thing as low number of magic items and have no problems with that at all. But tojts I am still running around in studded leather with a small wooden shield after all this time. I know we tended to give everything over to Hal to use as the front fighter---and this time it showed---I have AC 15 if that. I want to be able to dress in sturdier armor and a good shield. Healing spells are not ranged they are hands on spell, And when casting them the cleric is open to attacks of opportunity hence creating even worse damage than if she were melee fighter and so am far more likely to die trying to heal than I am to die fighting. And when a single e
