A great introduction to the campaign, very well run and entertaining. Looking forward to next week!

At long last, the PC's have finally scored a victory against their numerous foes. The DM's organized the large battle very well. I was most impressed with how they were able to move large numbers of people around in different areas to where they were needed in a timely fashion. I imagine this took a good amount of preparation. However, the fight itself was disappointing, as the climactic battle was far too easy. Still, this is easily forgiven since we have so many more obstacles to overcome. :)

This also happened to be Felrazor's last session with the group. I'd like to thank him for providing us with so much fun. His NPC's were always full of life, distinct, and a joy to interact with. He'll definitely be missed.

It is a grand service you and people like the Neverwinter University provide for this community by helping us green DMs learn to use the tools of our trade. The only thing I would've liked more would've been like a virtual DM/GM Academy, but designed a touch elaborately. That would be awesome! Like a PW, with sign up applications similar to ALFA or NWC. Those that aspire to great storytellers could be given the opportunity to instruct their own classes regularly or once and a while stop in as a guest speaker or lecturer. The potential is astonishing!

Excellent. Another one of those big pay off sessions. This campaign has the narrative flow of an well written TV show (both the DM's and Players being part of that) and it shows. This was a very good episode. Loved it.

Very fun game. The plot(s) are coming into focus. We made much more progress this session.

Tough to provide a review for this game. The DM team consists of 4 capable people, and the PC group was equally competent in all aspects of the game. However, that said, there is an obvious lack of motivation present on the DMing side which is a significant factor to consider. Being on that side of the fence many times before, I would find it difficult to judge, were there not 4 DMs present.

Top notch people all around, players and DMs, but no one at the top of their game. We have room for improvement.

This was a quieter affair than normal, but it was still filled with the things that make these games so enjoyable; characterisation, intrigue, plot and more plot, with a dash of plot for seasoning. The lower than normal number (and varying presence) of GMs was hardly noticeable.

What a game!! *WHEW!!!!* You guys threw the book at us with this one. There were plots running amok! What a blast, but I am sure you all need a good stiff drink. I was dizzy after this one. Seriously.

Even if this one hadn't directly related to my character, it would be on my best list. You guys worked real hard to put it together, and execute it. :)

First proper campaign session was an eye-opener - there's a whole lot going on here! It's blatantly obvious that the DMs are putting a lot of work into this to make it a really special experience. All I have to do now is work it all out?!

Great as always. Though things may seem hopeless for us at times, I'm always excited to see where it all takes us.

The way you guys play NPC's, there are times I want to give you Best In Game. ;-) The team of TOJts, Felrazor, Cowman, and Elbast is a hit! Another fun session among many fun sessions.

Fine conclusion to an enthralling role playing adventure. Hey, we even got to kill a few NPCs this time! An interesting twist to the usual

Smashing game which debunked any thoughts in my mind that gaming online would be all about hack and slash. The session was 98% roleplay and the one combat was appropriate within the setting and storyline. The twist that there was no twist was ... well, a nice twist, although I suspect there may have been a twist me didn't untwist! The other players all added to the ambience of the game and held character brilliantly - to the point where after interacting with them for nearly 8 hours overall I know NOTHING about them, but feel I have a fair handle on their characters!

All in all, a great introduction to NWN

nice mini adventure. I hope to have the opportunity to play again in one game dmed by this team. Suited for heavy roleplayer style only.

True roleplaying. Need I say more? Well, okay, just a bit. This is the sort of fantasy adventure you dream of when you want to get immersed in a story - and *be* part of that story. NPCs that actually exist as real entities. Communities of interacting entities. And adventure with more mysteries on the horizon...

This game was a lot of fun, and the flexability under certain circumstances you showed during the bar fight and getting into the brig was great. I really can't wait till next saturday!

For my first ever experience of NWN onlibe, this was an awesome introduction. The DMs were helpful and very patient with my starting problems and then ran the perfect 'let the players run with it' game. The other players were instantly in character and mixed gentle humour with characteristic seriousness. I'm looking forward to the next session!

This game proved to me that a dm team can be very effective. I was particulary amazed by how they can create great roleplay situation with multiple npc.

The mod is also very evocative and thats make the story more alive.

That was a good one hehe.

The game started late only because NWC had some problems, the game was supposed to be a one-shot adventure but because of the freedom the DM's gave us we had to schedule a new game for next week to continue

10/29/03 7 8 8 9 10 8 9 8 9 9
Very well run game. Only suggestion I could give was that perhaps it might have helped to move things along a little more in Oakey Vale, but then again, that's a judgement call as to whether or not the RP that is goig on is actually developing character or just overanalyzing everything.

Excellent plot twists! I'm still not sure if the girl was a wererat or not!

I look forward to finishing this out if possible. Really a good time!

Elbast is ever committed to the theatrical, epic drama, where the great emotions runs wild, and the plot always runs tight. It is the players who are the centre of it all, but the world around is so alive and so full of mystery, drama, danger and wonderful things, I always look forward to returning to this world and experience more. Definitely one of the best DMs ever, with some incredible co-DMs by his side :)

Easily one of the best sessions I've experienced on NWN. Very good.

10/06/03 8 10 10 10 10 10 10 3 10 7
This session was very grand in scale for me. I had a lot of fun, and despite a few technical details, it ran smoothly.

Thanks a lot for the wind-down time at the end of the session. I learned a lot about the other players, and got to go a bit more in depth with Samlin's personality.

All in all, a very strong developmental session for my character, and the DM involvement with the NPC's talking and interacting with us and each other was quite well done.

See ya in 7!

10/05/03 7 8 9 9 8 10 9 7 8 8
Though it was only my first session with this group, I still had a lot of fun. I had never played with a group that had *four* DM's, so it was definitely a pleasure to watch so many NPC's come to life. This made for some very very active scenes that normally wouldn't be possible with only 1 DM as I'm used to. Had a brief moment where we had a glitch and had to reload but that really didn't detract from the overall experience. Looking forward to next week and delving further into the plot. (and my character discovering more)

09/30/03 7 10 9 10 10 10 10 10 8 8
This campaign has been fun for me from the start. The DM's do their best to personalize the game, and include the player's development and such in the gameplay.

My character was emoting his faith in luck by flipping a coin - well, later on and in an appropriate way - the DM's created a 'lucky coin' for my character! That really made the entire experience for me that day.

If DMs are trying to do these kinds of things, the game seems more epic and personal. Everyone likes custom armor and items, but getting a Lucky Coin? That just breaks the mold.

I am looking forward to seeing the other characters develop and seeing how my character interacts with them in this long-term campaign setting.

With these kinds of DMs running the show, its bound to get VERY interesting!

09/22/03 9 10 9 8 9 9 9 10 9 9
It was simply great. The pace, atmosphere and challenge was all perfect. At no point did I feel the DMs where pushing us along - even allowed us to backtrack quite a bit to build a fire and rest. This sort of freedom, combined with the amazing yet "invisible" control of events really made it special.

08/07/03 8 10 10 9 9 10 10 10 9 9
Plot goes on, with the usual sense of impending doom. Nice. (Oh, and little touches like letting us make traps out of cage wire - much appreciated.)

I'm happy to be back in TLA, after that break. It's been a bit hard to start back up again, getting back into character and settle into the group again, but the game is so much fun! The story just draws us along. ardiel

This session was entirely TOO fun! With the plot twisting as much as the corridors of the maze we are all-but-lost in, the party is getting a mental workout between intense battles with the (now former) Master and his minions. Great balance of story and combat, IMO. Thanks for a great game!

06/30/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
One of the best sessions yet! The robotic sentinal was excellently done... a smouldering time-bomb ready to go off, and boy did he! Challenge was perfect, and the plot is gradually coming to the boil. Bravo!

Excellent continuation in the Underdark. Liked the wall of fire and also the final climax and the cutscene, made of this session a fine story with mythological propotions (despite the three times dead). I'm looking forwards to next weeks session! -BR-

  Excellent session as always! Kept the session going with two party members missing, providing interesting and novel reasons for their absence - a pulsating sub-plot!. Enjoyed the use of cut-scene during a magnificent session climax. Can't wait to find out what lies in store for us next week! {Dunga}

  A healthy dollop of intrigue with a side order paranoia. Great session - really got everyone wondering how things will unfold and just what is going on in the Delve. Who can we actually trust? Enjoyed the interactions with the rival group immensely! Thanks. {Dunga} Enjoyed the interactions with the rival group immensely! Thanks. {Dunga}

The game was fun to play and the DM's sure took an effort to roleplay the NPC's. They should, however, guide the characters to the story/plot a little more.

05/13/03 10 10 10 9 10 10 10 10 9 9
The adventure was full of surprises. The players were on the edge of their seat trying to tell who was telling the truth the whole time. I enjoyed the freedom of choices we had, in the end getting thrown in jail actually led to significant clues. The conversations were also the focus of the game.

05/13/03 8 8 10 9 10 5 8 4 7 9
It was great fun. DM's were patient and helpfull and ran a great game. Even let us split off and go our own ways - very creative, came up with things on the fly that well, flew really well.

05/13/03 10 9 10 10 10 9 10 10 10 10
Nice session in the Delve. The scene in the Throne room was a good show and the introduction of the 'other group' is an interesting variation into the story so far. Also the introduction of the NPC's was done very well and it seems that the quest for the well becomes more than just finding it.

05/13/03 9 10 10 10 10 9 9 10 10 10
  Really enjoyed the session. A great change in pace and scenery, a superb cut-scene, tasty plot developments and dwarven ale. What more could one ask for? Looking forward to next week. {Dunga}

  Great session. Clones were genius.

05/11/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
When elb mentioned to me earlier in the week that 'he knew something I didn't' my curiousity was raised. That bit in the maze was amazing - when I first came across otherNikka in the maze I wasn't sure who was playing her, and it wasn't till I got a DM tell I clicked and ran. Great stuff that really brough the characters of the party members to the fore. More please - shire

05/10/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Excellent game! The clones were incredible, and I really enjoyed meeting the originals after - wonderful time with the guilt! Great opportunities for roleplay, as always. Thanks! ardiel

05/10/03 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Amazing session. The maze with the clones was unforgettable, and yet ony one of two peaks during the session, the other being the foiling of Bolg's ritual and the final fight which turned out to not be so final. Best session yet, and that's saying a lot.

05/06/03 9 10 10 9 9 8 10 10 9 9
  Sorry to rush this, but I'm on the last minute! Good session, but looking forward to getting out of the Underdark for some brief respite! It's been 10hrs+ of solid dungeon crawl and I think we will all benefit from a breath of fresh air. Thanks, {Dunga}

05/06/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Good game again as always. The fights with the spiders were very tough. Especially since the creatures we encountered had poison and sickness 'abillities'. The encounter with the dwarven lady is an interesting change in the story. The encounters and the presentation of the 'playworld' is still well done. A 'thank you' for both DM's! -BR-

05/06/03 7 10 9 9 7 7 7 10 8 8
A well thought out plot. I had a good time. Perhaps the dm's were a bit too fixated to the premade plot though. A bit more "give and take" until the next time and I have no complaints whatsoever.

05/05/03 9 8 10 9 9 9 9 10 8 9
My only real complaint is that sometimes the NPCs were pretty sluggish in responding. It was hard to tell at times if the DMs were formulating a response, or waiting for one of us to say something else. There were a few moments of disorganization, but those were mostly our fault. Other than that, a pretty solid job.

05/05/03 8 9 8 8 9 10 10 10 8 9

I think this may have been my personal favourite session of TLA so far. Obviously, the highlight for me was the continuing Nikka/Mero thing, but I liked the way the gnomes kept showing an interest and talking to them (especially when they all gathered round to listen to the argument). Incompetent gate guards were funny. And Rolina! That little toad! There was a lot going on this session, and it is mark of your DMing skill that everyone managed to feel a part of things - shire

  Another excellent session with an interesting and challenging sub-plot. A very novel way to deal with a missing player which added some further urgency to the exploration of the underdark. Good show. {Dunga}

04/28/03 10 10 10 9 10 10 9 10 10 10
Liked the plot you made around a missing player (plunk). Many fights this time and sometimes it was just on the edge. The black smoke around the lake was nice and added to the atmosphere of being in the Afterdark. Thanks for the game both of you. -BR-

04/28/03 10 10 10 9 10 9 10 10 10 10
I felt the odd sessions has suffered from people just chatting, role-playing by emote and nothing much happening. In short, they RP, but only within the bounderies of their own characters - they don't use to drive and spice up the relationships in the group. The pressure put on this week due to having to rescue Plunk (great minds think alike it seems) created Story Now! which allowed me to put on the pressure and start my campaign to shake up the group. First target, Voran not being pleased with Riktar. I'll keep the RP pressure on. I want the group to be dynamic, not so cosy as they are now (to me, but I did miss the first sessions).

04/27/03 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 10
Good session. The maze was one of those moments that are excruciating and painful at the time, but, in retrospect was rather good. Shame about the wierd transition death thing, however, but not a huge problem. Nikka's dad is a horror ;-) - shire

While I'm not a fan of the "limited number of rooms, looping exits" kind of maze, you handled it so well, it never stopped being interesting. Very nice mood all around.

Presenting the players with a moral dilemma instead of the usual "I'm the shining light of goody-two shoes and I bid you to find and destroy the mega-evil lich XXX" was very refreshing. DM-team performed well together and played the NPC's well. Module clearly demonstrated that you only need a few areas and npcs to make enjoyable one-shot game. Elb said he made this in 4h which I find hard to believe ;) What was also demonstrated is that you can have a NICE game with little or no fighting whatsoever. -Tom

Truly the best game I've played here at NWC so far, The Troubles Of Oaky Vale was a fantastic module, run extraordinarily well by Elbast and Louise. The NPCs were interesting, fun, and great to talk to, and they played off of each other very well.

The plot was great, the intrigues were perfect, and you really had to think to find out who your real enemies and friends were, if you had them at all. Definitely a great time, I highly recommend anyone looking for a good game to try one of Elbasts and Louises games.

Elbast and Louise put on a great game, which I found very satisfying. They worked well as a team, and vividly portrayed the NPCs about the party to great effect. Well done!

Nice little two-shot game! Great job on the plot and NPCs. Only suggestion would be to provide a few extra hints regarding the lycanthropy!

04/14/03 9 10 10 10 10 10 10 10 9 9
Great game again. Interesting fights with the Kuo-Toa and it was exciting and suspencefull exploring their Territory. I still have to get used on making checks (computer dice etc.) and roleplay them in the game somehow. Excellent surrounding and sudden comments as "you suddenly hear a sound in the distance" you gave, make the atmosphere very good! Thanks. -BR-

Elb, TOJ, Alex: Thank you all for a fun afternoon! The story as it unfolded was interesting, twist was thought-provoking, the "good" NPCs made for a very touching ending... and the "bad" NPCs were oh-so-fun to smash! The NPCs, in their reactions to us and to each other, really made this game great.

I really enjoyed this game immensely, it is one of the best I have played in. The story was engaging and intelligent, with many opportunities for all players to base their role play on the events. Everything flowed well and I must confess I also enjoyed the guard-bashing towards the end, hee. Those buggers really deserved a beating and they got it :)

The only "bugs" I noticed was the faction thingy and the annoying Voice from DMFI getting in our way. Personally I didn't see a reason for having the voice in the module, giving so much hassle just to print nonsense-speech in the chat window, "representing" racial languages.

The twist with dear Bella and her people was simply excellent, adding depth and leading to afterthoughts as well. Cheers!

Another good session, from two great DMs -- Elbast and Alexander Frost --, this time with the most welcome addition of TOJts. I will soon run out of words to say that their best quality is the NPC interaction -- probably the best I have seen in NWC. An interesting plot as well, this time, especially considering it was supposed to be an improvised one-shot, crowned with a surprising and touching ending. - Brenno

(I missed getting my reviews done for last game, so this covers the last two.) One of the things I've really been noticing, is how you are giving so many roleplay opportunities. Nikka's father appearing was just a gift - absolutely priceless moments! Thanks for all your effort and follow-through. ardiel

Great improv game guys! I really liked the sidetrack we got off on into the caves, even though it was unintentional! Nice job setting us back on track as well. I now add this as another data point supporting my hypothesis that a real NWN one-shot with roleplaying is almost impossible! =)

Definitely NPC interaction is the best quality of this group of DMs, always possessing them, they make sure their dialogue is both witty, belieavable and touching, when it has to be. Impressive work in such a short time, as well. - Brenno.

A very impressive game, it was not at all noticable that it was put together in such a short time. Even though it was a short-story, you managed to involve the player's characters with their strengths and weaknesses to an amazing level. NPCs where fun and had lots of colour, I really enjoyed this immensely.

I really had no idea how to go about rating this one... supposed to be a one-shot just for kicks, turned out to be a long game spent completely off-track! Absolutely hilarious! DMs tried their best to keep us moving, and we ignored every hint. The NPCs (even the ones we killed a little too hastily) were well-played. I hope to be there for the continuation!

Great session, and the most fun I've ever had in jail. A score of 10 for NPCs doesn't really seem enough in this case.

Another excellent game. I was actually surprised that our plans didn't fall apart, as they usually do! That last battle was too hard for us, especially with one of us missing, but you did compensate for it admirably, by pulling in villagers. I would like to see a bit more money come into our hands, as Nikka is operating at a net loss, every game. If money is to come through Moristin, perhaps he can gain it through the city somehow? As he is the hireling of Lord Ilmen and we are all working for him as well... I especially loved the interactions with the NPCs, particularly responding to the death of Budoc. Well done! ardiel

Excellent stuff. Looking forward to the next sessions immensely. Hell, put 8's because I've probably got a bit more to experience in terms of this campaign and then I'll need room to wack the ratings up :)

Another great session. Funny how our plans always go awry. You'd think we deliberately mess things up. It does lead to some creative and flexible roleplay on everyone's side. The story is very engaging and I can't wait to see what happens next. How will our group survive the messes we get ourselves into? ardiel

Another awesome night as the plot develops. Into the Underdark! Seriously, keep up the great work. Excellent NPC/player interaction and game atmosphere.

Excellent atmosphere created in the gameworld. The Underdark with its howling wind and darkness is presented in a very good way. Please go on! -BR-

Another fine game by Drengist with his co-DM Elbast. My only real concern is the challenge level; we seem to be chopping through most of the encounters fairly easily, but I'm sure it will get more challenging the further we go in the campaign. -Valad-
