Comments in reference to the character Samhain Tigerclaw a Half-Elf: (Add Comments Here): Samhain is definitely the conscious of the group if the group was one physical body - always so serene and calm, his character is like a breath of fresh air no matter what the situation. It is difficult to play a character that always radiates calm and still has his own intricate background that he hides away but you do it so well. BIG!

Comments in reference to the character Samhain Tigerclaw a Half-Elf: Samhain is the rock on which the foundations of this excellent group are built. Deadly and powerful in combat, tempering this with a wisdom which is delivered through a carefully constructed mantra and always to the point. Quick to pick up plot hooks, or choose the ‘right’ thing to do, your value to the group is immense. I also really appreciate your efforts in the forums. Thanks Fel. {Dunga}

-------------------------You're right you and Bay about Rasha becoming a paladin--questions of faith are well not at the top of the list for this one,,not at 16, tis questions of the heart for her. The darkenss spell was perfect and sums up Maia's journey perfectly. This entire module has been about that journey for Maia. Really at the end you know she is still left with one hell of a struggle yet to go through---she has not made peace at all with herself and what was done....don't shelve this character yet Fel, keep her around and someday take her off the shelf. She has become strong again and ye need not play her as weak to play her as somone with an immense amount of inner turmoil and conflict. YOur comment at the end may your journey be one from darkness to light. In Maia's case is no easy thing and much could be done with Maia's journey that way. It really could cause she wants the one badly but has tasted the power of the other, and ye have wrapped the ending for her this module but this would be one hell of a PC and rp in some more extended campaign as she sits there a character with a depth born of having both those sides to her--I think of something like DS or CS for example--a place that holds all the temptations and ability ( in the form of other PC's and NPC's both good and evil aligned) to present both paths to Maia. Seriously consider playing her again someday, I understand not with this group but with someplace outlined above, she'd be a great one to bring on CS she really would. In any case Happy Trails, hope we do meet again in game soon, sparky I hope has taken a look at your thread, gave him the ip----LRP

Maia was a very interesting character with incredible depth. A lot of thought had gone into her background and it would have been great to see some of it mixed into the plot of the campaign, but unfortunately Raven isn't that kind of module. Still, Maia excelled in so many ways, with particular emphasis on how she saw that our group's tactics needed improvement and rose to the task of fixing it. She was also a good friend and loyal companion of everyone, especially Bay. Maia has such an interesting background that I would love to play in a campaign entirely focused on her character sometime. I'd love to kick the butt of her bastard uncle once and for all. =p Let me know if you're interested. =) /Dom

Character: Maia Archea
Maia was a great character, quiet, but with a lot of subtle expressions going on. That takes a good player to pull off. Solid teamwork, thinking (and AIMING!) before casting... :) Didn't interact with her that much, but I enjoyed what exchanges we did have. (Where's that Stoneskin when I really need it, eh? ;) Hope to get a chance to play with you again.

Character Played: Maia Archea (Human):

Maia started out as a shy person with a past she was ashamed of. We've all watched her grow, mature, and master her powers. Now she's a more confident, more determined, and much more powerful mage. She was the key to nearly every success our group had, truly a force to be reckoned with. But her character, her personality was a true joy to watch and experience. I can't sum up in a few sentences all the wonderful things you did with this char over the course of our Raven campaign. And as it comes to a close, I can't help but feel that there is even more to her story, more that she has in store. Bay and Borahk walked off with her into the sunset, and in my mind I wonder just what adventures we would have... Thanks for a fantastic experience. (J)

Are things always so black and white? Play another game where a spy, roguish type actually takes a prestiege class from a succubi. And Rasha knows so little IC about that stuff, and thought it a good lead back into her story. *sigs* unfortunately we are all to busy to stop and look just now but mayhap after, any way was the direction I was pusing as rasha---at least we have one more game----and if we can wait a couple of weeks meaning we can play with ye again--I'm all for it!! What can I say that I haven't said before? Overall great work. It seems like I (and some others) have missed parts of Maia's story when she told it in earlier sessions (like her having one time being imbued with the essence of a succubus). I suppose the story was told at the height of the Bay/Opticon conflict, which made it easy to miss since so many things were happening at once at that time. Too bad there's not much time left to tell the story again now. But maybe we can find some spare time, after the witch is vanquished.

Maia was pretty quiet this time, but very alert and as usual excellent with the spells. Strong, consistent roleplay from this player. I know where his character stands, and how he feels, at any given time, even if he seems unsure. Wow Maia - our battlemage is shaken by her mistaken belief that a coincidental departure is a sign that she is unloveable. But I think she also learned how much she in turn is loved by everyone in the group. For the first time, the bond of family was acknowledged aloud by all. She's had a tough life, and it just got a bit tougher, but she's also a fighter, and she'll fight her way through. Her entire "family" is cheering her on!
Sheesh that isn't at all how I remember the session. It was fun. Maia was a bit sad, but we had a great time together listening to stories of Borahk and Nebril, and rolling our eyes at Rasha. And now that we are trapped, there is no one I'd rather be with than you! Thanks sis! (J)

Well, it was nice to finally sort of meet you...lol. I see why Alex talks about you all the time. A game very well played. I look forward to finding out more about the goddess that you seek, and what form she will be in when she comes to you.

Lalo is a wonderful character to have in game. He drove the story/game forward when it began to stall at times. Excellent in combat, wise in conversation.

Excellent game! I really enjoyed this cast of characters. Lalo's story is excellent in it's mystery. With me having to leave early, I didn't get the chance to see if his goal was even brushed upon. :-( But without his story ever "really" developing, you managed to have everyone know and understand his role and beliefs, without just outright saying it. GG! DMTag

A lower-key version of Maia this time, and a frisky one at that! Something has bolstered her confidence quite a bit, and the change has made her even more potent. This is one of the most fascinating characters I've ever come across, and I do not exaggerate. She has been in the middle of some serious conflict, both outside of the group and within, and considering her checkered past has weathered it remarkably. She is neither a constant basket case nor an unfeeling human being. She has strengths and weaknesses, good days and bad, just like the rest of us. She is a perfect antihero, a character archetype that is difficult to write well, let alone portray improvisationally. She is both likeable and pitiable, something like a Holden Caulfield or Anne Rice's Louis. I forsee many more great things to come. :-)

Character Played: Lalo Huorn (Half-elf):
-------------------------For a tree-hugger, he ain't so bad! ;-) But seriously... Nicely played yearning, and great concern for all things of nature without being stereotypically Aragornish or flower-childish. It certainly made Harrow hold her tongue at the beginning ("They're bad critters! Just slaughter them already!"), after which she found herself agreeing with him. His quest is starting to intrigue her, and she will do what she can to help; high praise from one who usually lets people deal with their own tragedies while she copes with her own. -- Ysharros

Character Played: Samain Tigerclaw (Half-Elf):

All in all, Samain had a clear personality, and definitely illustrated it. I enjoyed the "The Tiger is cunning... The Tiger strikes from ambush against superior numbers..." type comments. They truly added to an excellent rendition of a monk. Reminded me of Kung-Fu to an extent. Well played, Grasshopper.

Maia, a character so real it's scary. And I applaud you for your ability to make her come to life. Maia is one tough mamma, and you can really feel her inner power straining against her guilt. I really wanna know everything about this gal, so I eagerly anticipate the next session. Truly fascinating, a character and a performance to be proud of. Best in game.

This group came together and formed a strong cohesive unit within just an hour of meeting. I was very impressed with everyone`s roleplaying skills. There was not a single person in this group that detracted from the game. Each person made this party seem like one straight out of a good novel. I look forward to playing with you again. ~Rizzen (Site Admin)

The buffing powerhouse with no self-esteem triumphs again. No matter how unbelievably useful she is to the group she cannot possibly imagine that she is of any value... such tragedy in her life, it prevents her from opening up to the gladiator who has fallen for her charms. The stuff of legends, truly. Best in game.

What can I say? Maia is played superbly by Felrazor, who not only can write an interesting character bio, but understand that character and become them, and react in different circumstances. On top of that Maia is a vital part of the team whose creative use of spells is extraordinary.

Great fun. I know we were more concerned with getting off that beach than developing characters :-).
When they talked about leaders some seemed to think it was all about charisma and you didn't want to push yourself on anyone that first night. Who was it that said "a leader will emerge through play"? Well if those "charimsatic characters" don't start to make the necessary decisions maybe your character will have to step fowrward...
Looking forward to getting to know you all and building the relationships. Looks like we are going to have plenty of adversity- what doesn't kill us makes us stronger?

Maia: Don't ever let others tell you that wizards and such arn't useful until 9th level. After all, who would of been there to ID all their magic. Your a good player, you made the wizard have a part. You think about your character and react so. Good job

Grag is by far one of the most interesting characters I have played with. Can we say: "It's not easy being dumb"? This player pulled it off pretty darn well. NO offense to player! :D I give best in show to this ability to play a character whose thinking was well below par. It was fun and added a good sense of humor at all the right times. Look forward to many more games.

Thanks for the game. It was fun despite the issues. Your chacter was very impressive to watch, especially from the DM's view. Knowing what I know and how the character reacts is great to watch. The role is an unusual one for the rouge profession, but good none the less. GG!

Very cool (maybe even a little chilly) character. I like how you tried to throw us off with your talk of being the party's scout and all that. I know your game mister! And I very much look forward to gaming with you again, perhaps with fewer technical interruptions next time.
