Gormenghast played it ‘cool‘ when he could, but still remained over confident, which caused a few slips such as ‘Don‘t worry, it‘s still boiling.‘
[ppsantos's reply to comment: Oh yes, that "boiling" comment. Glad you caught that. It was deliberate on the player's part (to cause more havoc), but a slip of Gormenghast's. Glad the moon elf didn't catch that. But in case he does, I was prepared to reply arrogantly "I can hear it boiling". ]

It seems money and prestige are his primary motivators in our investigation, and even in his journey towards Waterdeep...
...but I still think he‘s a lecher.

Familiars seem to not wanna help out, and those fireballs are somehow not really showing up. But don‘t worry, one day, mark my words, ONE DAY... well you know. Power and rule the world and all that. But for now, he will just summon the mighty power of an amazingly menacing... badger.

Valerius did an excellent job slowly bringing in his lawful good nature. It wasn‘t *in your face* lawful-goodness, he just politely slipped it in here and there. He was also very active in all aspects of the roleplay while not seeming to dominate. By the end of the night I felt like I could trust ole Val to lead me into battle.

In regards to your question of why I made the module epic level;
I figured what the hell? There isn‘t much out there that‘s epic, and most player‘s will have an epic PC after HotU. So, I thought I would just make Acererak a near-demigod, and turn the Tomb into something INSANELY deadly. Plus I like high-level games, and campaigns. :)

Does he let Kit carry the blade he was requested to obtain and guard by the celestial of Torm? Or does he forcibly take it from Kit as she seems very reluctant to surrender it? This will be very interesting considering the place the party is currently at(Abyss) and the multitude of beings determined to destroy them. You could feel the frustration and surprise in Ulrichs when Kit took the blade and refused to return it. Very well played.

I don‘t know if you meant to do it or not but when you called upon the celestial to come and get the little girl we just rescued, you said “We have one ready here for pickup“, as though she were just an object or some old relic you had recovered. It struck me as very Paladine-like in that Paladines, to me, seem to get so caught up in their battles with evil that they forget that there are actual people with feelings (in this case a frightened little girl, no less) involved. Anyways, that lack of dimension in Ulrich himself really lends dimension to the character Ulrich... if ya know what I mean. Nice work.

The word 'delivery' could be interpreted in so many ways - the child as a cattle/item to be transmitted to the celestial, or a child to be delivered from evil of the abyss unto the care of the celestial. At one point in the game when he was all alone in one of the layers of the astral plane Hammer of Bogardan made his way slaying demons and monsters to bring the party back together. He constantly thought of a way to make it easier for us to travel through the astral planes without getting separated. His healing and powerful spellcasting definitely helps us a lot. A very supportive player and definitely a valuable addition to any group.

Comments in reference to the character Indel a Elf: Indel was a late addition to our group when several other players dropped out and filled a large void. He served capably as the group's scout and never failed to disarm a trap or pick a pickable lock. He was often out front of the rest of us, trying to warn us of dangers ahead, and never tried to take on an adversary on his own, but rather always came back to the group so that we could fight as a team. While I indicated that Indel did not fixate on roleplaying, he did well to distinguish his character and bring some color to his personality. All in all, Indel was a valuable member of the group and I would be happy to play with him again in the future,
