Reviews To Date for Toad
02/27/07
Comments in reference to the character Allan Toni a Human: (Add Comments Here) Great campaign, I look forward to many more! Alan was full of surprises from the start, it was great to watch his character develop as the game progressed.
02/26/07
Comments in reference to the character Allan Toni a Human: It‘s only been two campaigns, but I love the way you‘re able to make such completely unique characters. Lanton was no exception; my only regret is that your RL absence forced you to reveal your secret identity earlier than you might have otherwise. You also somehow managed to make a shadowy loner stay true to character and still be a team player. Glad to be a part of your team, and looking forward to many more adventures together.

Comments in reference to the character Allan Toni a Human: so allan ended up dieing, but apprently even that wasn‘t enough to stop him. Not really the end i expected for him considering his dislike of the force, i would have thunk he would rather have ceased to exist then become one with the force. Well either way it was great RP and a great run, hope to see you again in future campains.
02/26/07
Comments in reference to the character Allan Toni a Human: KotNR campaign review: Lanton was a great character in our ‘team‘. Lots of great character development from the initial rogue type to a potential Jedi/Sith. Always something going on with Lanton.. or Allan. Great game and look forward to the next campaign with you. Sleet. :)

Comments in reference to the character Luó: Easily my favorite character in the campaign. Sure, Luó was a likeable fellow and a good guy to have around, but the roleplay was simply outstanding. I loved the way that Toad got into character whether Luó was laying the smackdown on someone or standing at the water‘s edge while he picked his nose. Every week was a tremendous performance and an entertaining experience. I found myself looking forward to the game and the posts because of what Toad brought to the group. Well done!!

It was a great run Marcos... and a good death. You died just the way that Marcos should have. Lucky for you however, Janus and Pard, beyond all reasonable logic, did actually survive and escape. Not only did they, but they managed to grab your corpse off the bridge on the way out! So.. Marcos is still alive. We will keep the rest for the forums, but I hope you enjoyed my campain, it was great to play with you. Until next time. Laurk

Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: (Good playing, we were outclassed with that Demon. It was lucky that any of us survived. If you haven‘t heard we did manage to save you, so now there are three of us minus a cleric. Unless we get lucky.)
09/19/05
Comments in reference to the character Luo‘ a Human: A vivid portrayal of the dumb-as-a-post fighter archetype. Tons of excellent mannerisms, emotes, and comments that give the character a particularly distinctive voice. Plays a vital role as the party front-line fighter. Good RP off the other player characters, makes what might have been a one-dimensional character very deep and interesting. -LB

Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: (It is good to have you at the frontline, as usual. I know I was slow on the uptake, especially stairs. Oi, my head/body/everything hurt. Hehe. But there were times when you got a little to far ahead of the group. Maybe I would have died only 5 times, instead of 6 if we‘d stayed together better. :)~)
09/02/05
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: (We would have never survived the ants without you. Good fighting. We‘ll need you much more.)
09/02/05
Well played Marcos. Your RP is exceptional. You were so closed to figuring it out.. with the beetles. Just needed to listen to your instincts. See you next time.
08/27/05
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: (Work always gets in the way, doesn‘t it? If only a guy could be unemployed and still offered to have a computer and sit around playing games and drinking beer. My view of Heaven. Ha. Hope to see you next time.)
08/05/05
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: (Nice job kicking that Heathen‘s ass. You saved our bacon with Bedine. A well deserved BIG.)
08/05/05
Great job Marcos. Very good RP. I loved the modesty, and your smooth talking kept Calia‘s anger from landing you in a war which would have left you stranded in the desert with no info to go on. Anyway, good job, the BIGs all yours.
07/29/05
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: (Hope I didn‘t offend you with my constant ranting. I had a point to make and you were the easiest to vent on. However, I it was all in character. Ya dig? Nice to have you on my side, as usual. I‘d like to see how Marcos and paladin in the PnP (Henry) would match up. We‘ll have to have Laurk set that up some time. I think I might get my ass kicked. Hehe.)
06/25/05
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: (We wouldn‘t have survived the Zombies without you, though we probably didn‘t need to fight ‘em all either. Keep your honor in check now and again Knight! And way to keep us alive.)
06/17/05
You were hazzardous, wreckess, and nearly the end of everyone with all of your cavalearing and charging about. It is exactly that which made your RP utterly brilliant! I loved it! Best in game buddy. You are RPing Marcos‘ deepening psycosis beautifully. I loved the convo with the silver arm. That was outstanding. HA. See you next week

[Toad's reply to comment: The conversation I had was really with my intelligent sword. But still, crazy is crazy.

Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Again, your excellent roleplaying comes through. I had forgotten how much Marcos hates water, but of course was reminded quite quickly. Thanks for the backup with the elves!

Comments in reference to the character A.O. (Alpha Omega) a Human: (Add Comments Here)
02/22/05
The usual, always Mr. Personality
02/08/05
Comments in reference to the character A.O. (Alpha Omega) a Human: Alpha Omegs is a a gum-chewing, catchphrase-spouting, ass-kicking superhero with a cannon strapped to his arm. Need I say more? His character personality had clashes with mine, but man, I was rolling with laughter at some of his antics in front of the computer screen. My character got a little miffed at him during the mission, and A.O. was legitimately concerned that I was angry at him behind the screen. Far from it, my friend. Your playful, almost 10-year-old energy was a welcome addition to the party - the comic relief for the whole session. Thank you for playing with me.
02/01/05
Comments in reference to the character A.O. (Alpha Omega) a Human: Good ol AO. Man give a boy a grenade launcher and watch him wreck half a city for no reason. He did save my butt from those four cobra‘s though.....I managed to sneak up on one and the other three didn‘t take kindly. AO let a grenade loose and let those cobras know who‘s the boss around here.
02/01/05
Comments in reference to the character A.O. (Alpha Omega) a Human: He was an interesting character. Pseudo comic relief for the group and and I guess he lived up to his codename. I wonder what his real name is.
01/30/05
Leo: *smiles* One of those cases, Leo I hated, you pulled him off beautifully. I would love to play with you again.
01/30/05
Comments in reference to the character Leo Darkstar a Human: I absolutely loved your concept for the character. It was original and you played it marvilously. You had a very nice pace to your conversations (you didn‘t dominate them but you kept up a steady chat).
01/29/05
My primary companion throughout the visit, Leo was modest and funny. great guy to have around
01/28/05
Comments in reference to the character Enyor Hinue a Elf: I was extremely thrilled to have played with this group and this individual did his job well!
01/28/05
Comments in reference to the character Vos Manchester a Human: (Add Comments Here) Great job with Vos - as an experienced Firefly player, as well as playing a former Navy pilot, you brought a focus to the group that was needed in such a challenging situation. The rescue by shuttle was very, very cool.
01/28/05
Comments in reference to the character Vos Manchester a Human: Our indispensible pilot. Is there nothing about ship stuff that he does not know? Logically, I knew it made sense for Vos to stay on the ship, but I was worried that you would be left out of the rest of us were on the Reaver ship. I guess I shouldn‘t have worried. ;) I missed Lena, but I‘m sure the Captain didn‘t mind. *grin*

Vos: You saved our buts! Loved the game you played great.
01/16/05
Very believable. Glad I had to work a bit to get into his good graces. No none of the standard “Hello“ “Hi“ “Who are you?“ “Magellan, a wizard.“ “Ah, well we are on a journey, care to join us?“ “Sure.“ stuff. Which was refreshing though expected in a game where RP takes precedence.
11/25/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Good work, Marcos, your *arm flexing* comments are pretty funny, even though I know they‘re not supposed to be. Solid fighting as usual.
11/21/04
Comments in reference to the character Capt Markinson a Human: What a great group you have here, I enjoyed watching you communicate like you have been together a while, which I‘m sure you have. I think the Firefly verse forces you to concentrate on your chosen field more then a traditional fantasy setting would, and you guys are a good example if how Firefly should be played. It will only get better too, I just wish I could be there to witness your travels. I‘ll be there next week though. Keep the shiny side up...LION
11/08/04
Comments in reference to the character Nameless Master a Halfling: Comments in reference to the character Nameless Master a Halfling: This is a review for entire Shards of Malice campaign. Jumping in to the end of a campaign is always a challenge, but I thought you met it well. Some of us had been playing those characters for two years, so the depth of roleplay and familiarity must have been frustrating. Plus, the timing was such that we were mostly just neck-deep in combat. We‘ll have a lot more time to rp in the new campaign. I‘m looking forward to seeing the Captain! - Mulu
11/05/04
Very good character development as usual. You really do a good job of fleshing out Marcos‘ personality. Good RP.
10/30/04
Very good RP this time around Marcos. Though not a lot happened, information wise, it seemed fairly productive. See you next week.

10/23/04
Very good this time Marcos. That was a close fight in the cave, but I noticed you backed off just before you dropped. Is Marcos getting sensible??? HA. Great job figuring out the wand with Janus. Very well played, your RP was the best.
10/22/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Glad we got the ‘spirit‘ sorted out. Unwavering roleplaying, and excellent job (as always) in the front lines. Love the battle cry, too!
10/18/04
Comments in reference to the character Nameless Master a Halfling: The ‘Master Master‘ is a well roleplayed character. Enjoy his cryptic remarks and answers. Sleet may joke or be sarcastic on occasion about them, but realizes deep down that most are true to form for him as well. Powerful fighter as well!

Your RPing was very good as usual. Good game Marcos.
10/15/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Marcos and his sword are a force to be reckoned with. Dissention in the ranks? I‘d be pretty suspicious of Janus too were I in your shoes....
10/05/04
Comments in reference to the character Nameless Master a Halfling: Excellent roleplay, welcome to the group!!

Good roleplaying again Marcos. That was a wise decision to bring the gnome with you to the door. Though it wasn‘t neccesary this time, you have obviously learned through past experiance that NPCs are not always trustworthy. heh.
09/28/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: What can I say that hasn‘t been said before? Excellent teamwork on the basilisks, stellar roleplaying, as always a pleasure to play with.
09/28/04
Comments in reference to the character Lena Darkstar a Human: (Add Comments Here)this is going to sound like the dummest review I‘m sure. Theres‘ confusion in me..with her being a medic..and what? a prosititue? I only know though I don‘t understand precisely what she was, that you played her very well. You played her as pretty mysterious, a bit of a Mata Hari, a “Bones“ ala Star Trek. It was very subtley done, her business her own, good game LRP
09/27/04
Comments in reference to the character Lena Darkstar a Human: (Add Comments Here) Great job with Lena! Conversations in the infirmary were great, as well as where you took the opportunities to use Lena‘s OTHER skills.
09/27/04
Comments in reference to the character Lena Darkstar a Human: A Doctor and a Companion. I think that gives new meaning to the term ‘bedside manner.‘ :) I liked your character‘s innate concern for the welfare of her crew that comes with the territory of a healing profession, but I also liked your rather elegant portray of a Companion who caters to only high-class individuals as well. Don‘t worry about conflicting with the Captain. I didn‘t expect conflict to come from you, but I was pleasantly surprised when it did. I think it adds much to the limited drama a one-shot can show. Thanks very much and I hope to see you soon again in another game.
09/26/04
Comments in reference to the character Lena Darkstar a Human: (Great job! Your character‘s knowledge provided some much needed information at a critical time. You did a great job as the Ship‘s doctor and companion. I know that both must be hard jobs since you have to sit in the background, sometimes, and heal people. Hope to play with you again. )
09/26/04
Comments in reference to the character Bim Longstridder a Halfing: (Add Comments Here) Helped scout ahead and keep us...erm...well, almost a couple steps ahead of our enemies.
09/26/04
Comments in reference to the character Lena Darkstar a Human: (Add Comments Here) Our medical doctor. She kept us patched up (and told us not to drink...grrr...) Not only that, but she‘s got her own shuttle. Wassup with that?!
09/26/04
Comments in reference to the character Bim Longstridder a Halfing: This character was played very steadily and consistently all through the adventure. The player was decisive and let his actions speak for him, and spoke up when asked. The nature of the character allowed for many leadership chances which were not abused, yet not ignored. This character was well-done, characterized well as the “sleepy competent cowboy“ sort, and was a pleasure to watch and game with. This player clearly has not only experience with the character, but also has the game mechanics well under control. Any time this player wants to game with us once more, he‘s more than welcome to. I‘m confident any character made by this player would be a treat, if this is any indication. I have to award him “Best player in Game“ (and it‘s a tough choice) simply because his execution was flawless: no OOC comments, perfect character consistency, and cooperation where possible with the environment and the group. This player is an example-setter. The -only- thing I could possibly say to improve on is the DM-to-player rapport, which is impossible to judge in a oneshot game normally anyway... so this doesn‘t count.

Comments in reference to the character Bim Longstridder a Halfing: Excellent scout, did a fine job luring nasties back to the party so we could ambush them. Good character well played. Enjoyed you roleplaying in the wench/dragon cottage.

09/18/04
Comments in reference to the character Lazrine Stormbow a Elf: (Add Comments Here) One suggestion; try not to scout out of clipping distance from the other players. This is common for scouts, but from a technical standpoint, it throws off the encounter scaling, and from a party standpoint, it‘s more fun if they can see what you are doing. The advantage to scouting is that if you are stealthy, you can see the enemy before he sees you. You only need a 10-20 meter lead on the rest of the party to make this work. Also, if you are going to hang back during combat and not engage the enemy, it would be best to let the other players know, either by using ‘Sir Robin‘ type shouts or something. All in all, I thought Lazrine was a very well fleshed out character. I don‘t normally like ‘troublesome‘ players (in this case, Lazrine was a drunk and not really into joining/ helping the party initially), but only because they are difficult to make work, but I thought Lazrine was well played on that part, nice rp‘ing.
09/15/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: (You were a life saver. Without you and your badass sword in the fray, we would have hurt something terrible.)
09/15/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: What can I say? Marcos is a tank, come to kick evil‘s ass and chew bubble gum, and damned if he didn‘t forget his bubble gum. The safest place in the mod is behind Marcos and his super sword of coolness. Plus, the RP is always top-notch....
09/15/04
I can see a differance in the way you are playing Marcos. He is much more up-beat. very nice. You always do a wonderful job. A question though... did anything strike you as odd during the game? Hmmm... Laurk

Comments in reference to the character Gloinar the Thunderfist a Fireforge Heir: Interesting character, It will be interesting to watch this young dwarf develop in the the leader of this clan.
09/04/04
Comments in reference to the character Gloinar the Thunderfist a Fireforge Heir: You did a good job and I enjoyed playing with you. I look forward to future games together. However, I think your character should take more of an active role in leadership and front line fighting since you are the ‘heir‘ to the clan throne. Enjoyed the roleplay between your character and Mordain.
09/04/04
Comments in reference to the character Gloinar the Thunderfist a Fireforge Heir: I liked playing with you and I feel sorry for poor Gloinar who has to be the heir and all... It was fun! Looking forward to seeing you next week!
09/01/04
Comments in reference to the character Marko Starslayer a Human: Interesting character. Clearly he was the either the most “good“ aligned of the group, or did not approve of the violence the group took for some other reason, and he did a great job of playing this. As a DM, I appreciated that he was able to convey this in character, without disrupting the game. In other words, he did a nice job playing his character, while recognizing that in a one-shot, you can‘t always fully roleplay what your character might do (e.g. leave when his idea of strategy differs from his party mates) for the game to go on. Well done.

Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Marcos is the perfect paladin, always the role of the great protector. Loved the bit this time about being a ‘machine‘, and I only meant it in a good way, of course.... With the hand and all, I REALLY wanted to make an Empire Strikes Back reference, but of course refrained.....

I have to give you the BIG this time Marcos, only because it‘s been a long time coming. You aren‘t the puzzle solver, but you always put great effort into roleplaying your character in a realistic way... even at great personal risk. This time we began to get a better sense of Marcos‘ melencoly and slightly depressed manor. The sliver arm is a great dinamic that I will try to expound upon more in future games. Laurk

Comments in reference to the character Toh the Thresher a Half Orc: It was very cool to see you RPing the fact that Serana was indeed missing, and especially nice to see Toh‘s reaction to finding Serana again. I think we‘re getting a little crowded by people who wnat lighter RP, but Toh kept up a fantastic performance. BIG goes to you.

I really love your character Marcos.. I appologise for the game running so long.. I was hoping to get to a better stopping point. I must say you roleplay Marcos so well. He is very believable. Though you don‘t do alot as far as leading the others around and adding ideas, it feels like it is because that is how your character really is, rather than from any lack of ability... if that makes sence. Marcos is focused on combat tactics and leaves the other details to the rest. Very nice. Laurk

[Toad's reply to comment: Thanks. I do try to play Marcos as more of a warrior of justice kind of guy than a controlling paladin nut job. That and we have been underground for how long? Someone misses his beloved sun........

Comments in reference to the character Toh the Thresher a Half Orc: A great game as before, very well played. Looking forward to the next game.
07/15/04
Comments in reference to the character Toh the Thresher a Half Orc: Toh was fantastic again, with his glares and little nonsensical quips. It was very interesting to see his sentimental side near the beginning, and also subtle hints at his unpleasant past (especially intriguing touch when Toh left the inn after Zerprex said “dogs belong outside“ Great stuff!) Toh‘s inner troubles show well with your wonderful RP, and I look forward to seeing more of him. Bravo!

Comments in reference to the character Lazrine Stormbow a Elf: (Add Comments Here) Toad, I‘ve seen your name pop up here and there on the Player‘s Hall of Fame and now I know why. Your elf is one of the best elves imho that I have seen in action, both as a DM or a player. As a scout, he was unsurpassed, often saving the party‘s rear more than once. Excellent work.
07/11/04
Comments in reference to the character Lazrine Stormbow a Elf: (Add Comments Here) Lazrine was a well played and interesting ranger. He did a good job scouting ahead and I enjoyed the comments about the noise the rest of us were making. Enjoyed the interactions our characters had; I would definately play with this player again. Comments in reference to the character Lazrine Stormbow a Elf: Great job. The character was definitely a good ranger always keeping just out of sight while scouting.

Great Job, I loved the way you interacted with the spook. Good stuff. Sorry about the bugs.. I should have them all worked out by next game. Laurk

Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Marcos has become a tank lately! The rest of us, it seems are hardly necessary when it comes to combat....

Comments in reference to the character Toh the Thresher a Half Orc: Awww, I love this big guy. He‘s loyalty to Serana is sweet. Got my BIG.
07/09/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Good game, Marcos.
07/08/04
Comments in reference to the character Toh the Thresher a Half Orc: Ahh, the poorly-spoken half-orc type character is always a sight to see whether RPed well or not. You handled it extremely well, making Toh not very smart, but very likeable, and very loyal. His banter was particularly entertaining (even in the OOC area... he speaks “govlin“ and “eleven“ lol) and was kept consistent. His oddball speech and a miscellany of other antics earns him my vote for BIG.
07/08/04
Comments in reference to the character Toh the Thresher a Half Orc: It was hard deciding to give the BIG for this game to either this character, or Rit, and Rit barely won. However, Toh was a wonderful character, he‘s big, and not the brightest, but he is extremely loyal to his friends to the point of being downright stubburn. I recall two events with my character in particular. One of them where he refused to let my character (Serana)be taken by the Drider. The other one was when he virtually forced the potion down her throat when she was hurt. :P Toh and Rit got into little conflicts throughout the entire session, but they were all kept civil and in character, and I can‘t really blame Toh for the way he would reaact really. All and all, a wonderful character to play with.

Comments in reference to the character Rowena a Human: Another strong session, it was much fun to see Ro again. Your conversations with Glor were great, especially the parts where he wanted to kill things, or burn the ship. It was also nice to see how she reacted to a certain character‘s growing drinking problem.

Comments in reference to the character Rowena a Human: (Add Comments Here) A secretive, shy spellcaster. A great job at RP, this character even opened up a bit when we found an attractive suit of clothing for her to wear. Felt as if she was coming into her own, a scared girl in a big world.
07/01/04
Comments in reference to the character Rowena a Human: Her one sided (that we could understand) conversations with her familiar were well done and appropriate. It‘s almost like she‘s two personalities split between the familiar and herself. Very interesting... BIG
07/01/04
Comments in reference to the character Rowena a Human: Wow, very well roleplayed! Her subtle actions and brief words made her particularly interesting. I really liked the way you brought her to life and stayed very well in character throughout. The constant banter with Glor even when he wasn‘t there was a nice touch as well.
06/26/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Toad‘s roleplaying never ceases to impress me (especially at the end when you were tired...). Marcos is always the first one in and the last one out, covering for the rest of us. An essential part of the group and a pleasure to game with.
06/26/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: (It‘s taken Marcos a bit to warm up to the group, but as the game progresses I‘ve come to appreciate his staunch ethics and sticking to the character of a Paladin. He definitely is a boon in a fight, that new sword was whoopin‘ some major butt.)
06/25/04
Great job, guess you liked Azrailian. Sorry the battle with Damagrond didn‘t last a little longer, I certainly didn‘t expect Janus to turn him into stone! Resourceful bastard Janus is! Damagrond was about to drink a potion of haste... oh, well it was a satifying victory I imagine. The Fungus were pretty rough though. That was a pretty mean seen. See you Thursday. Laurk
06/25/04
Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: That was a great game, Marcos, you‘re now quite a force with the armor and weapons you have. You certainly hacked through the orcs easily enough and I think you would have taken down Doomhammer too, if Janus hadn‘t petrified him!

Who would have figured brave Marcos was afraid of boats! HA... I liked that. Don‘t know if the others caught on or not, but I did. Anyway, good job. That fancy new armor certainly seems to be doing it‘s job. I could barley scratch you! Keep up on the Forums. Laurk

Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Great game, Marcos. As usual, you were a steady and solid fighter for us on the front lines. I think between you and Olin up front and Janus and I in the back providing healing, spells, etc we have a group that is pretty solid. later,TM

Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: I am always impressed with Toad‘s RP abilities, and Marcos is always good to have (on your side) in a fight!
06/10/04
Brave Marcos. You stand toe to toe with any monster and slug it out to the bitter end. You may have had you head smacked in by the Abboleth, but you certainly kicked the crap out of it before you went down.. Considering the fight came down to a matter of 2 hitpoints, I‘d say the damage you delt early on was instramental in the fact that you and you pals actually pulled it off! I thought you were all dead... That was sooo damned close! Laurk

Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Again Marcos was an excellent part of the team. I thought the ‘mind control moment‘ was RP‘d very well, and was very relieved when he snapped out of it before anything bad happened.... Always the brave paladin, first one in and last one out. A true pleasure to game with.
06/08/04
Great job Toad. You role play your character like a true fanatic. I cringe when you are fighting because unlike the others, you never step back to heal yourself if you get badly wounded. There were a couple times when you kept slugging it out with Mutated Skums until you were both going to drop on the next hit... I was biting my fingernails... I guess a Paladin never runs! :) See you tommorow. Laurk

[Toad's reply to comment: I would have liked to pull back but where to? We were stuck in dead ends alot. Oh well that is what makes the game so great.

Good job Toad. Marcos took a beating for the team, but dished one out right back. You played very well, and knew when to retreat. My last group died because they didnt. As you can see, moral debate wont be much of in issue for the next few games! I‘ll see you later. Laurk

Comments in reference to the character Marcos the Silverhand a Human: Stellar roleplaying job, despite the stress it placed upon the party. Everything worked out in the end, of course, but there were a few tense moments there. Well done!
05/13/04
Well I must say, dispite any implications on the pace of the game (which for the players in my game, there were none) I‘d say you roleplayed very well. I think most players would have a tendancy to just go along with what the group did, but you acted exactly like your character would. Very well done. The only thing I would say is this, and you can take it or leave it. A follower of Helm, the god of vigilance would follow the letter of the law and put aside any personal feelings. Followers of Torm though I think, are more likely to go with their heart in such a case. Marcos, like the others suspected a trap. Had be been a Paladin of Helm, his behavior would have seemed more fitting, I think a Paladin of Torm on the other hand would be more apt to give his friends the benefit of the doubt... he is the god of loyalty afterall. Thats not a knock, mind you, just food for thought. Anyway, good job, next week the fun begins. Laurk

Comments in reference to the character Enyor Hinue a Blade Elf: It was almost painful how displaced this character seemed. A paladin surrounded by underdark dwelling comrades, in perhaps the most tense sort of setting one might run into? Ouch. Fair enough though, he served the needed role of the tank quite well, although, even if such a paladin tries to be last to flee a battle, try to have a little more tact on when to flee. Most all the characters around him normally probably would have just left him, but us players get drawn back in to try and help anyway. We were all lucky the DM was so lenient.

[Toad's reply to comment: I will admit I stuck in the combat too long alot, but this was because I was the only one who did stand in combat. I was trying to hold off the beholders so others could flee. Hmmm a "paladin" trying to help others at the expense of self? Weird.

Comments in reference to the character Rowena a Human: (Add Comments Here)Rowena caused me more worry, concern, and a pinch of fear than I would have ever expected. It was all very good RPing on her part, I was quite impressed and look forward to playing with them again.
04/18/04
Rowena a Human (NWConII Fleet Street Game):Yow. I think I was just as frightened of Rowena as I was of our situation. She gave me the creeps and that‘s due to strong role-playing. The way Rowena kept her distance, mumbled, spoke in freaky, fiery, fragments... it was unsettling. I love how she “found where she belonged“ in the course of the mod. I‘m sorry you won‘t be joining us to finish the game, but you found a logical way to leave the group. Very nice.

It‘s unfortunate that this was a one-shot adventure—and that Rowena left at the end—because it would have been a lot of fun to learn more about Rowena, learn why she was like that, and maybe bring her out of her shell. I wish you‘d been able to give us more clues as to who she was and why she acted the way she did. Oh well.

Overall, I felt you gave a strong role-playing performance. It would have been nice to see some humanity shine through but, due to the nature of the mod and it‘s length, I understand how difficult it is to pull that off “realistically.“ I look forward to an opportunity to RP with you again some day. One request? Can you post some kind of background for Rowena so we can see why she was that way?

Pretty please? “:-D“

[Toad's reply to comment: I think backgrounds in the character sheet is stupid. I change how I my characters everytime I step on the server. I don't like having to conform to a set background and then have someone say I didn't play my character right.

Comments in reference to the character Dar Thorningside a Human: This player alternated between ‘dumb‘ speech and claiming he was a master tactician and speaking normally. I don‘t know if this was intentional. Comments in reference to the character Dar Thorningside a Human: Some good moments of RP amongst what was largely a dungeon crawl. You did wander off on your own a few times, largely in the very beginning, but you made a reasonable attempt at being the leader of an unruly party and were consistent in your character and a good player. Well done.

Comments in reference to the character Jim Teneman, aka Scholar a Human: Good play, and I salute you for your solution to the end of the session (which we didn‘t expect, but were happy to improvise). I‘d prefer a character who‘s more willing to stay with the group, but I will grant you that you handled the ‘loner‘ bit well.

[Toad's reply to comment: I admit that at the start of the mod I wasn't with the "group" but this was because I had no reason to be and no one had asked me to join. Once the "mission" was recieved I think I stuck with the group the whole time unless I was scouting ahead. Like I said though I thought this. Thanks for the input.

Lil‘ bugger! Played a little man in a big world really well. Had a few aspects of his character, given more time, would have been great to learn! A little disturbed and probably a little psychotic, yelling all the time about being Death and what-not! Crazy!

Comments in reference to the character Enyor Hinue a Blade Elf: Good session and character concept, although some of it seemed over the top. It is difficult to flesh out a whole new race and holy warrior persona when everyone else has no real idea where you are going with the idea. Unfortunately, the party went two directions with that: some played the extreme distrust while others were immediately too trusting. I was hoping for a spot where you could “prove yourself“ but it never seemed to present itself and then your late game diety-pout was good with the extra background, but confusing in the heat of the moment. I look forward to playing with you again.

[Toad's reply to comment: It was at the end of the game that I had started to think of playing a different char. Enyor seemed to be causing lots of problems and distrust in the group, and since we had a rogue archer already, I was trying to figure out a way for Enyor to take a move out of the game. The "god pout" was the best I could come up with at the time.

Comments in reference to the character Enyor Hinue a Blade Elf: (Add Comments Here) Interesting character. Nice play against the other belligerent elf. I thought you had a great start trying to overly prove yourself to be accepted. I think it would work better if others were less accepting of your background. Seemed odd that a character that needs acceptance (psuedo-drow) ends up playing a leadership role. Such are our group dynamics, I guess. Great game!
10/21/03
Very well played, Enyor! I think that every adventuring group needs an unhappy character that is forced to be there. Its just not fun without one. :P I loved the intrigue between Enyor and Akirotiri. Hope to play with you again.
10/21/03
Comments in reference to the character Enyor Hinue a Blade Elf: Enyor was a good charater but it seemed like his charater lost faith too easily in his Deity.

[Toad's reply to comment: Enyor was killed twice and his god call was ignored both times. For a holy warrior this is a pretty big shock.

He stayed in chracter I think but all in all he ran off without the rest of the group and seemed to be in a hurry to get done with it. wasn‘t interested in exploring.. At the end of the game when the DM was trying to ask questiosn he became very disruptive killing off the NPC‘s in the tavern for fun.

[Toad's reply to comment: This was the worst game I ever played. The only fun I had the whole time was at the end when I went to fight a buddy in the tavern. I was rushing the whole time because it was either finish the game or just quit I was that disgusted by it.
