Reviews To Date for The Blind Bat

Kyrtella Crimsondusk an Elf:Rogue I really enjoyed the interaction between the two rogues, cooperative at some points and trading verbal jabs at others. This may have been my favorite part of this session. Only one trap that I can remember in the caves but the rogues found and disabled it to keep the party safe. Very good roleplaying by the player the best I have seen in three sessions with him. He is improving well.

Kyrtella was the only character out of the group‘s “lets uphold justice and save the land“ attitude. I liked the fact that she decided to just go along with the group and profit from what she could instead of clashing with it making the party hard to manage. Kyr and Raven provided some funny moments as their personalities clashed a bit :) *remembers sarcastic comments*

Comments in reference to the character Kyrtella Crimsondusk a Elf: I really enjoyed playing with you, and it was not only once that your sarcastic comments brought a smile to my face. I liked the fact that you became more easygoing as the story progressed.

Comments in reference to the character Rainette Keenblade a Human: A great show for the end of a module I thoroughly enjoyed running for everyone! Your outrage over the sacrifice of the child was well played, right down to actually making a grab for him against the stone beast. Insane bravery shown whilst turning waves of the undead in the middle of a pitched battle, though I didn‘t see you turn any in the following siege. Great work barking orders, and BIG awarded for your constant encouragement to the NPCs to speak up if they need help, or see anything. Loved it! - Alexander Frost

Comments in reference to the character Rainette Keenblade a Human: (Add Comments Here)Rainette really played the Paladin well this session, rushing out to meet the dead head on to blast them to fragments with her presence. Her praying was appropriate, and her fury at the sacrifice was unbridled. I was half-expecting her to lop off Caling‘s head for that! The only time I think she dropped out of character was when she said good at the mention of Caling being trapped in the Pride, possibly to meet his doom. Still, it was an understandible response given his sacrifice of the child, so it made me think about the struggles of a Paladin to remain righteous and fight the temptation to impose their own human, vengeful standards as opposed to showing the mercy that Paladins are trained to exhibit. It was a great game, and I hope we can adventure together again soon!

[The Blind Bat's reply to comment: Pssst! She said, "Good" because she realized he was a capable fighter and leader and thought the Pride would be well defended without need for us to intervene. ;)

Comments in reference to the character Jyleena Greenbreeze a Elf: Jy is a giggly rogue who is always up for having some fun. Interestingly, her courage in battle surpasses even her great sense of humour!

Comments in reference to the character Lady Vali Pristina a Human: (Add Comments Here) You sure did take a beating this session. LOL. We'll have to find a way to protect you a bit better. Can't have our cleric laying about in the dust like that.

Comments in reference to the character Lady Vali Pristina a Human: (Add Comments Here) Vali is somewhat of an enigma to me. She seems to be a Paladin right to the bone. But, at times, she also seems to be willing to bend her convictions (e.g., her rule against desecrating tombs and sarcophagi) just enough, for the sake of a quest, and even her fellow companions. Put briefly, she's flexible, and I like that in a character. Life, as they say, is an exercise in exceptions, and I think that, by instantiating this saying, Vali seems more realistic, more human. Like any inexperienced character, she sometimes rushes into combat situations that might prove too dangerous for her. But I'm sure she'll evolve into a more prudent, character, in time. I like her a lot (as does my character).

Jistelle Purebright a Sun Elf:Cleric A good and very capable job of playing a cleric character. This is the second time I've seen this character and the player did a good job of creating a trait that would individualize the character. I would still like to see more of the characters background work into the role-playing, I cannot tell that Jistelle was EVER in love except from reading the bio. A good job overall, fun to play with.

Comments in reference to the character Rainette Keenblade a Human: What a wonderful character! I've never seen a Paladin with quite such an acid-tongue before, but that didn't stop her from being true to the law. She tried to stop everyone from making off with that chainmail, even though it was rusting and obviously abandoned. Nice use of the Paladin's

Comments in reference to the character Rainette Keenblade a Human: (Add Comments Here) Rainette was an appropriately stuffy paladin, and her self-righteousness was evidenced on several occasions, although I hoped to hear more comments as the game went on. Rain interacted well with the others and stepped out to interact with the NPC's as well. Although she was seen as the

Jistelle Purebright a Sun Elf/Cleric Cleric really got into groove when the group got to into the deep forest and beyond, healing was needed in the crypts and she provided alot. Turn rolls were popping undead like they were zits. Would have liked to see more RP from character, I was waiting to hear about how these undead must have lost love and she would help them find rest. Great Job Overall. Clerics are so important in an adventure like this.

Jyleena was a consumate thief. She was quite sneaky and quite good at moving undetected (even from me! P). I have yet to see a Rogue RP'd in NWN that would top her. Great player!
